The only things to note: 1) They don't have access to gas, so the gas tank was less that full; 2) The outside of the car could have been washed beforehand; 3) Especially if your driving less than 75 miles, keep your receipt for filling up the tank to show when you drop off the car, otherwise there's an automatic charge for gas that is likely larger than what you paid for the gas. Definitely, I'd rent from this Budget again.

They can't adjust the charges unless I can provide them a drop off receipt or a fuel receipt done just before dropping the car off. Of course, no receipt because the attended refused to provide one or didn't want to be bothered. Filled up the car the night before to avoid further traffic issue for my early morning flight. That was rejected by Budget, it wasn't done right before I dropped off the car. And off course that can't take a copy of my flight itinerary or boarding pass because that doesn't prove I actually took the flight. Like I'm a criminal and want to rip these guys off for the $45 they over charged me. Now it the principle of the thing. 2nd time in a row I was over overcharged by Budget. The 1st time it was only $11 so I let that slide. Not anymore.

My new card did not arrive in time for my trip. Understand that it's standard for most car rentals to not accept Apple Pay / cash. However, Enterprise made it very difficult to work around this. This location accepts debit cards, but NOT from out of state customers. They said I could call a friend and have them put their card down and I could still rent the car without them in the vehicle. Luckily I did have a friend nearby and he came. However when he tried to use his physical credit card with their payment system, it would not work. So not only can you not use ApplePay, even physical cards sometimes don't work? They then told us that he couldn't use his debit card if he wasn't going to be in the rental car with me. I had to call a second friend to try their physical credit card, which luckily worked. Was stuck in their building for ~2 hours. Service also stinks in their office, so I had to exit into the garage / go downstairs to even communicate with my friends to come. The car they provided also smelled like cigarette smoke - even after they cleaned the interior. They let me take it without cleaning the outside since I was in a time crunch but would have expected the interior to not smell. The front desk lady I spoke with was nice but horrible experience overall - namely caused by their debit card policy and wonky technology. Won't be back to this location.

He threw the keys at us literally did not show us the car told us that was the one left. Terrible experience. Really not happy about it. No the service we are used to. Reservations online was easy but the limits are exclusive that's, you cannot use or input your own insurance to waive theirs, nor change your reservations once it's locked in. The staff seems to lack the training to accommodate customer requests for small changes and seemed unable to modify anything from their end. Prices are reasonable, of course if you consider the NY landscapes and the location is just perfect however. Calling their customer service number is a nightmare cause no one picks it up, good luck on that. So, since I wanted extend for the second day, I have to go back to the station to ask for the extension. Guess what, the agent went for his break and I have to wait for an hour for him to come back? Really unprofessional! Having this opportunity allowed us to leave NY and head to Albany for the first day and Long Island for the second. Returning was easy, drive in and the security person will take the car and check you out, done. However, the security guard asked for a TIP for his work. I'm not a cheap guy but with a very disturbing and unprofessional experience, I felt this rental agency did not deserve a too from me. Upon arrival, Yvonne assisted us and was very unprofessional with everything. She asked very odd questions and almost acted as if she's never seen a foreign (French) passport before. She asked on the spelling of my friend's name and literally struggled and was straight up rude the entire time. The worst part is that she said there was a glitch in the system and that there were no cars available even though there was clearly a reservation booked. In the end, she was able to provide a car somehow, but that was after she told a family with a crying baby to leave the office since we had apparently taken the last available car. Absolutely horrific experience. The car itself ended up being brand new and nice so Alamo can have a star for that, but I would not recommend this location, especially if you have to experience dealing with Yvonne.

Instead, they tried to give two women a pickup truck -- in New York City. I don't drive pickup trucks. On top of that, the staff at that location were among the rudest and anti women, men I've ever encountered. We were then sent to another location on 54th Street Uptown, the next day, where we waited for nearly two hours, and some people had already been waiting three hours or more. Ultimately, we lost our vacation and travel plans due to your company's complete lack of organization and professionalism. Avis, I expect to be reimbursed not only for the transportation costs I incurred while attempting to retrieve a vehicle but also for the financial and emotional cost of a ruined vacation.
