I watch the videos, I clip the coupons, I go to conquer. First, clearly all Dollar General's do not have the same price for the same items. The whitening toothpaste in my store was $5 not $3. Also, clearly you need to go in the AM. That store was ransacked and they do not restock mid day. Don't think you can just find everything in the video. Naive I know but again, not every store has identitical inventory. But I came, I conquered, I got my $31 of items I actually use for $17.89. After tax our ridiculous 8% sales tax. Strategy for next time, find a location with a lower sales tax. Go in the morning. Study all the products on sale and all the coupons before hand so you can pivot your strategy quickly depending on inventory. Here's to 2026.

It's interesting how the same item can be priced significantly lower here - for example, an item that costs $5 at this store might be priced at $10 at another location. Not sure why? TIP: If you do visit here, be sure to check the back wall to the right; they often have excellent clearance items in that section. However, when browsing clearance racks, it's important to double-check the tags, as items are sometimes misplaced and may not be marked down as expected. I visit this store regularly, and I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. Though the lines could move faster. Sometimes they have 10 people in line with only two registers open. That said, I would recommend avoiding weekends if possible, as those are typically the busiest times. As for the manager, I've had positive interactions in the past. Some reviews mention a less-than-ideal experience, but perhaps she was just having an off day. Or, who knows - maybe the situation was a bit of a two-way street. She said shes never seen this shirt in her store and began to look on the clothing isles for the same item, and then when we both couldn't find the same item she checked me out for. Steve W the store manager was able to handle the situation but when asked for the route to writing a formal complaint he just provided me a customer service number on paper and slid it to me across the counter. They apparently bought the inventory of some larger stores that recently went bankrupt and they were overflowing with discount inventory. I stocked up on underwear, Christmas socks, plastic bins for storage, arts and craft supplies for $1 the list went on. You can't take their buggies out of the store, so if you buy a larger item you may want to bring a friend. But have fun!

Parking in the large and free parking lot was easy to get, and I'm extremely sure parking is always available. This Five Below is located in Perimeter Pointe shopping mall. When I first saw "Five Below," I thought it was a store that sold cold weather gear, but my assumption was way off. Five Below sells most of it's stocked items for $5 or less, although I saw some items priced at $12 when I walked through the store today. Most of the items in the store, strategically placed in the front half of the store, are targeted to kids. I couldn't believe the variety of candy in the Sugar Rush area, and so much of it were brand name and popular candies. Another large area has clothing, accessories, and a lot of other things for girls, from elementary school through high school ages. In the back is the electronics department, where customers can find some practical to very cool products, including electronic cables, bluetooth speakers, gaming accessories, phone cases, and much more, all at cheap prices. I can't vouch for the quality of these products, because I didn't buy anything, but I suppose, at these prices, if they last at least 6 months, that's a great purchase. As I was leaving the store, one of the employees at the front of the store called out to me, "Have a great evening, sir!" This impressed me, because I don't hear employees say that to their customers often enough. If I had young kids, I would definitely consider shopping here to save money.

Went here for a return for someone else. As soon as I walked in there was a long line. When I got in line, about 10 minutes into the 20 minutes I waited in line someone finally came to another register. She was nasty and really rude for no reason. I get you guys are busy, but I'm actually one of the nicer people in this store so not sure why your attitude and the situation you are dealing with was directed at me. What really annoyed her is that because the return was for someone else, she had to do two transactions. One for the return, which she, again, rudely and for no reason said she couldn't put it on a card, because do I see this line, mind you, I didn't even ask for it to go on a card, I just wanted it returned however you do a return, like I don't shop here regularly enough to know your return policy; and two, because since the return was for someone else, I paid a different way for my purchase. I could have gone to any dd's, and probably should have known better to go to this one, because there is always mess in that area of town when I go to stores, again, for absolutely no reason...
