A very hot summer coming to this unorganized Dollar Tree; there is no fan or AC in this store. Everyone is venting and the line to check out is pretty long long. This cashier who acts like he is the manager with no name tag/ID or no customer service skill whatsoever. Im sorry to take his pic because i would like to report to the upper management or to help customers avoid this guy at all costs. Firstly, he confused us. We went in line at a family and he thought we re separate bcz we have a bunch of stuff in our cart. He told us to go to another line but there was already someone there and then he yelled at us that we didn't pay attention. Meanwhile he is hot with his sweaty shirt and he is the one that screams at us in front of everyone. Then he said we had attitude and refused to continue the service. I think they need to clean up the mess the toy aisle because there's a chocolate bar inside the toys because some kid left it there or poaching bar and they left it's also stuck with the toys too and it's also in between the toys and it's disgusting. I visit this location often because it's close to my daughter's school. I prefer to come at opening 8:00 a.m. Lines are much shorter then and stock is more abundant. This location is spacious and always crowded. Coming in the afternoon and evening requires endurance. The lines are ridiculous and there are too many people in the store. For some reason this location carries name brand bread that is close to expiring. You can find some pretty good toiletry, snack and cosmetic items during the week days. I found a Suave Natural Hair Treatment that I love for $1. Can't beat that. read more

This place is The greatest. I thin by now, everyone knows how I feel about dollar tree. It is just one of my happy places. This location is no exception. The shop is big.... it's like supermarket big. Plenty of isles with plenty of isle space. The store is filled with everything. Do you need; plates, glasses, aluminum foil, odd kitchen tools, any cleaning item you can think of and frozen food.. This is also a great spot for greeting cards. Most are .50 cents each and some are a dollar. They have packages of 6 cards, still a dollar. All types of party supplies. Gift wrapping and bathroom items, along with tooth brushes and toothpaste. Soaps, and OTC medicines. Keep an eye out for specials... Apparently they get good deals and pass them right on to their customers. Did I mention that these stores are also a great place for party balloons. They are an incredible stock and guess what... just 1.00 Can't say enough good things about Dollar Tree except: "TRY THEM." If you're going to make a bulk purchase or get more than three items - do NOT go here. Their carts aren't allowed outside, and the automatic doors are broken. I asked to speak to the manager, whom of which came out looking like she just hopped out of bed-I asked her just for a brief moment, if I could remove the pipe obstructing the cart from going to the parking lot, since I have a full cart of items such as sofa bottles, detergent etc. She said no, just push it to the front. I honestly could've just removed the pipe myself but - I tried being a Good Samaritan. I guess I'm upset that she was super unsympathetic about the situation...it could've gone far better than just "No but you can push your cart to the front". That's one. Two - the cash register, number 4 currently - was a loud, obnoxious cashier shouting so the entire store can hear him "DID I TELL YOU TO MOVE UP? NO SO BACK UP!" One person even abandoned her cart and just left. The environment in there sucks. Can you imagine the business they would get if they added some positive customer service? I would gladly do my routine shopping here as the prices are great but I at the same time, I wouldn't mind spending a buck or two more for a peace of mind, and a good experience. A cashier discriminated me. I picked up 16 items. The cashier scanned all items, put them on the counter, I paid for them, she didn't put those items in a bag. She just served the next customer. It was first time a cashier didn't put items I paid for in a paper bag. I saw her put items into a bag for the customer before me. She didn't care the items I paid for. I knew it was not a normal situation because every time I paid for items, all other cashiers put them in a bag. I didn't complain to her because I didn't want to argue. Instead of complaining to her, I picked up one paper bag on the counter and started putting them into the bag by myself. She saw it and asked me "do you need a bag?" If she bought 16 items, wouldn't she need a bag? No one can take 16 items on hands without a bag. The answer was obvious. I said yes, she threw one bag towards me, and then continued to serve the customer she was serving. I was extremely uncomfortable with her attitude but I didn't express anger to her. After putting all the items into the bag, I walked out of the store. Apparently, she discriminated me. I was the only Asian in the store. I saw her put items into a bag for the customer before me but she didn't do the same thing for me. Her attitude was the perfect example of lack of discipline and she discriminated me. Americans will never stop racial discrimination. It's part of their life. This nasty incident occurred in this store at 6:59pm on July 26, 2024. Located on a busy street, but an essential store! Glad there's options between this Dollar Tree location and the one all the way by Roosevelt Field. It makes buying inexpensive items much easier because I live in Lynbrook. It can get a bit disorganized here within the store when items are all over the walkway. There's usually a line here, so don't come here expecting to be able to be in and out within 10 minutes. There's almost always parking near the store. It is one of the bigger dollar tree stores that I've been to so far. The place is chaos though. Inventory days are tuesday so best time to shop is tuesday night and early wednesday mornings to get the best picks. Days past that, the shelves are limited or empty for the things worth while. Lines can get long, way too long at times. Carts are for instore use, so be aware you will have to hand carry your bags at the exit. Handicap accessibility is good. This is an ehOK dollar tree. I mean if I had another one closer to my home, I'd go to that one. So I can't base my review on the entire store franchise. That being mentioned, came here looking for some party supplies for an upcoming shindig...parking is always good as most people just double park right in front of the store with their hazards on. PET PEEVE but whatever! I have been here a number of times. Don't get me wrong. I NEVER leave empty handed. The place was just a mess and disheveled this evening. I noticed cardboard boxes at the end of each aisle packed with random discarded items from the aisles. Nice...when it is inventory day? Don't envy you guys! There were bags of open candy and chips pretty every where I turned. I swear, this place on a late Friday evening looked like it housed a daycare center by day. It was a mess. Read up on the rules of service dogs and if there are no dogs allowed there should be a sign at the door even though still Service Dogs are allowed in. She was very nasty and unkind and then gave my fiancé a hard time checking out after I went to stand outside because she would not listen to a word i had to say and it was very frustrating. This is the worst Dollar Tree I've shopped in. The store is dirty, with stains on the carpet . It's under stocked and not much choice of merchandise. I've shopped in other Dollar Trees where the store was clean and beautifully organized. The store on Union Ave in Islip is a good example of a really nice, pleasant store to shop in. Store was a mess (in their defense they were dismantling Christmas to put up valentine's day) But at 9:30 in the morning when you should be able to get in and out there was only one cashier on and everyone else was unpacking boxes. As the line got longer it never dawned on anyone to open another register. When another customer asked loudly where is the manager? Frank who had walked by twice already and saw the line finally opened a register after telling us someone called in sick.
