The store is pretty much a hot mess but if you are looking for holiday, birthday cards, party bags and boxes this is a good place to go. Cards are of decent quality and are $1 each which is very affordable especially these days. They have a large selection of cards, gift bags, wrapping paper. I shopped at the original store before the big flood in 2010 and afterwards, but not often. (I often went to one in the next biggest city.) However, after visiting this "new" store, I'll be shopping here when I need my Big Lots fix. I'm impressed with the furniture selection and display. They have aisles that are stocked neatly. The store appeared very clean. They have food and home decor. Everything you might need for the home and for your car can be found here. I took many photos because it's definitely an upgrade from the original store. The reason for 4 out of Stars is because there wasn't any employee in sight as I shopped the entire store. I saw the manager-type briefly speaking to the cashier, but that was it. I did see the sign on my way out which listed positions they are hiring for. I will definitely be back. I love the new layout with the furniture as soon as you walk in versus in the back right corner. I will update my review after my next visit. It may not be as big as others I've shopped, but it can compare to ones in larger cities. This definitely should be a new Yelp listing as it is practically a whole new store, in my opinion!
