This store is listed as Arc Thrift Store on Yelp and Google Maps. The managers informed me that was…read moreits former name over EIGHT years ago. So, I told them I would list it correctly online. This thrift store is a gold mine with phenomenal prices. I would say this is the BEST thrift store in Clarksville with the most excellent customer service! Presently, they have a 50% off linen sale. Lots of beautiful hand crocheted blankets. Ladies clothes (excluding formal clothes) are $5 a bag full. Clothing is $1 a piece unless specially priced. I bought: - a giant box of brand new crayons for 75 cents - two cool graphic tees - expensive stationary 50 cents With the assistance of Progressive Directions, Inc., the Thrift Store supports individuals with special needs and their families. The PDI Thrift Store also partners with Supported Employment and the State of Tennessee to make opportunities for those with disabilities to have paid positions. Overall, the PDI Thrift Store provides more jobs, additional funding for the Clarksville community and offers low cost items to all. - Source: http://www.progressivedirections.com/thrift-store/

I go in looking for coats for the homeless and there were used coats there marked at 25$. I'll stick to Salvation Army for those purchases. I'll be back though bc now I know.

Okay....... So was curious. And stopped in cause heard good things bout this place. It's located…read moreright there behind Rudy's Diner it's the old bowling alley than was some Haunted place for Halloween also at one time. Well any how...... This place doesn't deserve NO starts. I did buy a couple things there (wish I hadn't). The 2 ladies that work there they are really nice. But they don't stand behind nothing. You bought it..... It's your problem. They sell complete total JUNK and what you buy there you can go to Wal-Mart and buy it cheaper. Heck even Goodwill. I stopped in there again today cause they say that they get their stuff from Amazon and a truck runs and drops stuff off. Plus I was curious. Well today when I stopped in there to put it bluntly the place smelled like piss. Like someone went into a corner and used the restroom. I asked about a basketball goal that was over in the corner and they said it was $90. First off I don't think I would give $75 cause the box was mangeled and I'm not even sure if all the part would even be there. $20 more I could go buy it brand new and parts would sure be there. So I left and went out the back way. OMG I was SHOCKED the back door to the place was wide open and it looked like Stuff was just thrown in there. Boxes and stuff looked like trash. So I don't think they get NOTHING from no Amazon truck I do believe there people are dumpster divers and selling the stuff. So I call Amazon and give them the name and address of the place and ask them if they done business with this place and dropped off stuff they would not except back. I even spoke with a manager and he told me bluntly. No ma'am anything that needs to be returned to us we except returns and resolve or refund people their money. And that they had never heard of this place. People BEWARE going there you may bring home more than what you bought. Such a critters. This place needs to be shut down like yesterday. Do yourself and go to Flea Markets or Goodwill cause those places are A LOT cleaner than this place.

Some time ago, I found a neat place in Murfreesboro called HFS, which felt like a smaller version…read moreof Sam's Club, had large and wholesale items at reasonable prices, and everyone was real nice. This place feels a lot like it... but... I don't know. Part of it is probably the location, right in the middle of industrial Elm Hill Pike. Part of it is the ambiance, which feels more like a small warehouse than a store. Part of it is the very blase attitude of the employees: they're very whatever, when I'm looking for a smile and some chitchat. They've got lots of great snacks and they're cheap cheap cheap. Stuff looks like vending food stuff and at least 25% cheaper. Loving that. There's janitorial stuff, business stuff, office supplies, that kind of thing. You can get in and out there faster than Sam's, and it's reasonably priced, but it's got a chilly attitude, and not very inviting.

I started going to this place to get items to stock our schools concessions. It's a little bit…read morepricier than Sam's Club on candy items, but it's a good option when Sam's is out of something. I really like that they sell the 20oz Coke products. Most places only carry the 16oz versions. Although I have never really asked any questions of the staff, this place has always been friendly to me. I wish they had later hours in the evening and open on weekends, but I understand because their client base is probably not large enough to warrant paying someone to stay open later. Nashville seems to be in short supply for places like this. I'm glad Merchant Mart is here for concessions type businesses.
