Probably one of the larger Dollar Trees in the area, this location always seems to have some pleasant surprises whenever I visit. Some things are rather random, but others are pretty expected. I've found that office/school supplies have been a rising source of anxiety for me in other stores, but the Dollar Tree has what you need. Seasonal items and quick toys are good finds here since they don't cost an arm and a leg for cute presents for nieces and nephews or party decor. The shelves are organized and sectioned off. I'm also surprised with the food options in the Dollar Tree. The shopping strip seems to have been something else at one point - My guess is the next door Golds Gym used to be a supermarket of some sort, but the great thing is that there's a large parking lot. Easy to get in and access I-77. The staff here are friendly. The line moves pretty quickly even though there may only be one or two registers open. You leave the store with a great sense of discovery and a ton of stuff (bang for the buck). read more

Manager on Duty today 6/15/23 Was very rude, confrontational and abrasive. Exhibited poor leadership. He was kindly and respectfully asked to open another line . Left a very aged Senior on the register that had an extremely long line . She did the best she could. He instructed me to go ahead and give a bad review after his rude behavior and statements . read more

What can you say about a Dollar Tree except this one is better stocked than most with better selections. Only problem we had today was the cashier did not know how to handle a large bill when presented to him and he called the manager who proceeded to acknowledge the call but failed to do anything about it. As a result, we ended up standing there, there was only one cash register open and everyone ended up waiting and a rather lengthy line did develop. read more

Party supplies, house hold cleaners, snacks and even gluten free beef or chicken stock. In need of balloons they've got them but you may want to call first there has been a shortage of helium over the last year. read more

This unfortunately is the 3rd time I've encountered this particular employee and she was rude for absolutely no reason. She was very cold and unwelcoming. She works in customer service so it doesn't matter what the customers look like. Each time she makes me feel like trash because I'm black. She's an older white lad at named Annette. She needs a new job if she's going to be rude. I feel like she's rude because of my race simply because each time there happened to be a white person before me and she was jolly and happy but I get cold wicked witch. Have her do better if the owner or manager reads this. read more

Customer service??? No! When you are repeatedly told "I have no idea"... This store and the 1-877 # "have no idea". No offer to see how to help or offer any suggestions.Useless. Never again. I tried to shop local-I will simply use Walmart and get what I need. read more

Wow. This Dollar Tree has gone downhill quickly. I used to be a big fan and have spent hundreds of dollars in this store each year. Today's experience will have me going elsewhere. The lines were 10 customers deep, and the employees were grumpy and slow. I waited in line (1 of 3) for at least 15 minutes. When it came time for my turn to buy my items, I turned to the woman next to me that only had a couple of items and told her she could go ahead of me. This interaction lasted 10 seconds. In that time, the older cashier named Sonny TURNED OFF HIS REGISTER LIGHT and walked away. I was stunned. When he came back near the register after a few minutes, I explained that we were all waiting in line, and I was just trying to be nice to my neighbor. He grumbled at the three of us still in his line, "The light is off for this register. You'll need to wait in another line." Seriously? We had made eye contact when I was in line. Sonny knew we all had been waiting in line before he turn that light off. I apologized profusely to the people behind me since my 10 seconds with a turned back had caused us all more agonizing line time. Worse, after waiting in line for slow cashier #2 named Doreen, she seemed inconvenienced that I had 21 items in 21 different Christmas bags (My kids had taken time to select the best sized bag for each Christmas gift.) I tried smiling and shaking this negative experience into a positive one, but Doreen was determined to be miserable and glared at me. Bah hum bug. Dollar Tree: can you please look into hiring people that value customer service and positive interactions? Your Cornelius store will do better with less Scrooges. read more

I love this dollar tree. I just want to say that they have the sweetest staff here. It means a lot to go in when they recognize you and are just always friendly and nice! The manager and all of them really go out of there way there. read more

Dollar tree is the perfect place for when you're looking for something in which quality is not an issue. Atmosphere - Busy, packed with stuff...but still organized and clean. Service - a, yes, a friendly and helpful employee, as I believe there is only one person working at a time. Stuff - I think places like the Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and Big Lots are good for specific items. Finding out what those items are will greatly improve upon your shopping experience at any of these establishments. Based on having visited a Big Lots before, and now a Dollar Tree, I find I like the former better. To me Dollar tree has more off brands (i.e. no name Chinese produced knockoffs) where as at Big Lots you are more likely to find named brand items. I did find a few things that Dollar Tree seems to excel at besides cheap party supplies...movie candy (e.g. Lemonheads, Boston Baked Beans, Sour Patch Kids). They pretty much have a whole isle devoted to it. Another item is containers (e.g. small plastic baskets) of almost any size. Overall - If you are looking for sweets, party supplies, or a cheap, poorly casted, wrench this is the place for you. read more

Dollar Tree is just what it is " something that will work for a dollar " want something better go to another store where it will cost more!! For me Dollar Tree in Cornelius, NC has what I want on the shelf when I want it. I can normally get in and out quickly without much bother. For those of you that want it to be something other than a DOLLAR store go somewhere else. Then it will be easier for me to get in and out without having to listen to all your whining in the check out lines! read more

Great place! Great staff! Worth a visit! Great place to find party supplies, cleaning products and snacks. Everyone that works there always has a smile and will go above and beyond to help you with any questions you might have. Much cleaner and better stocked than other dollar stores! read more
