The furniture is very nice and extremely reasonably priced. I found a couple of couches that I would have considered purchasing IF I wasn't 3 hours from home and IF I was driving a truck. There were men's Land's End shoes for $5 a pair. A great deal! In fact everything I saw was a very good deal. I've never seen a store like this before. A fun place to shop! Last Chance Overstock sells the things that didn't sell at other stores. It's the Island of Misfit Merchandise, if you will. (Will you?) A big portion of the store is dedicated to furniture, and the store-people are 100% OK with you and your children sitting on every couch and lying on every bed. My kids wanted to find the most comfortable couch, and they chose the one with plush corduroy that had cup holders and a USB plug. They wanted to buy it, but we live many miles away, and also, there is no way I'm inviting a couch with cupholders and a USB plug into my home. Get bent, kids. You need to look at the products carefully, because some of the things are a little worse for the wear. But for the most part, most of the items I saw at Last Chance looked perfectly fine. I wouldn't come here to find something specific, because inventory changes frequently, but this is a good place to browse and find a treasure.

We got to Pollys place and saw the town of Hobart was having a parade. So, of course, the boys had to check out the parade. As we passed Pollys place, there was Polly outside her building, and it kind of looked like she was looking for someone. She saw me and offered her business card to me. I said to Polly, " I actually was coming here to see her, that my boys wanted to check out the Parade and that We will be right back." We checked out the parade for no longer than 10 minutes, and then we headed back to Polly's psychic store front. The door was locked, and there was no Polly. I stood there waiting, then I looked back towards the parade, there was Polly walking back to her shop. I got excited and nervous. She took us into her shop. She asked, "What brought us there?" Oh well. My children did find a handful of Wii games for $1 each, though, and they were super excited. This is a good thrift store to give kids a few dollars and let them go wild. I would likely have gotten some chicken as well, but did not feel comfortable asking how the grill orders work or what was available given that no one tried to engage with me as a customer. It is hard not to compare Ali Baba to Alladin Pita and definitely feel like Alladin Pita is both a nicer market and a more friendly, professional business. That being said, Ali Baba is 20 minutes closer to me so I will likely be back again, hopefully next time someone will greet me and can explain to me how the grill menu works.
