I picked up three blue bird figurines that were already on the floor, placed them in my basket, and before I could even turn around, an employee (I went back to secure her name) snatched them straight out of my hand and walked off to the back; no explanation, no apology, nothing. When I asked what was going on, manager George was at least polite, but his manager, Doris doubled down and told me they wouldn't be "bringing them out until tomorrow." Are you kidding me? You literally took items from a paying customer's basket -- items that were already on the sales floor -- and then refused to sell them? No attempt to make it right, no customer care, just rudeness and arrogance. It's one thing to pull items from the floor before customers touch them it's another to grab them out of someone's basket. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. If this is how this store treats paying customers, it says a lot about their management and training. I am attempted to never come back; but will definitely let others know to steer clear too. After years of coming here, I will never give them the satisfaction of never seeing me again. See you soon! Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This was my first time visiting the Delray Beach location. It didn't seem as nice or have as big of a selection of items as some of the locations in Palm Beach. I have noticed that Goodwill has put all of their Christmas items out. I guess it is a Christmas in July type of event. If you are in need of holiday items now is a good time to grab them. Nothing for me here today but it was still fun hunting.

We had fun browsing and my husband even found something to buy. It's either a unique gift for his cousin or he might keep it himself. The owner was quite personable. He mentioned that they do estate sales and removals. I commented on a number of small cat statues that they'd been given and he gave me the history behind them.

There was a long line for the dressing room. They do not accept returns or exchanges so I need to be sure that everything fits well and is in good condition. I was standing on a long cashier line and asked a manager here for a price. She told me that they'll call somebody when I get up to the register. I'm at the register & she is now looking up the price. We could've saved a lot of time and eliminated a lot of the line had she gotten a price for me rather than prices for women behind me. But I did leave with a bag of nice things that I don't really need for my closet that's stuffed.

Remembering GFS delivery trucks from when I worked foodservice in college, I figured it was worth checking out. We ended up finding more than a few things we had been looking for (deli containers, condiment squeeze bottles, etc.) and a few that we weren't expecting. The prices are good, staff is super friendly, and the aisles are clean and well-stocked. Be aware, however, that everything is "use in a restaurant" size, so you're going to want to plan for storage or for using it to serve a large number of guests in one sitting. The only thing I couldn't find there were the little plastic caps that one uses to cover the condiment squeeze bottles.
