I have never had a bad time in Dollar Tree on 372. I've asked for help and have always received it. When they are very busy, I take the time to see if I can find what I am looking for. The management team and the clerks have always been friendly and willing to walk many customers to the item that they were looking for. I've also been there when customers with children just let their kids run wild. I've been bumped by these young shoppers who never said anything to excuse them for why they are running around the store. Then you hear a person calling loudly for their children and then telling the clerk not to charge them for the items that their little angles put in the basket. Just put them away. I was a very busy mother of 3 also, but I NEVER ALLOWED my children to put items in the basket unless I intended to pay for them. Even though my kids wanted things just as all children do, they were not allowed to just get something to keep them quite. I simply could not afford to purchase things that they did not need. The selections at the store are awesome, considering the fact that our Pahrump store is NOT one of the exclusive stores that are around. Our store carries most of the items, that the warehouse has and that the PEOPELE THAT DO THE OREDERS ( THAT IS NOT THE MANAGEMENT AT THE STORE. THEY CAN REQUEST, BUT NOT NECESSARLY RECEIVE) for the store based on where it is at and what products sell more than others. Value? It depends on what you are buying. I for myself am particular about my food. However paper products are just that paper, as well an the non-edibles that are available in the store. Candy is also just that candy...the same as you can purchase any where. The price is right to try things out, and many of the products that I have purchased have worked and are still working many years later. I thank each and every employee at this Dollar Tree for 1) being friendly and helpful 2) for working a sometimes very special job where they do not get the respect from the customers that they should. Think management has changed or supervising staff. This time visiting, store not as upbeat as usual. Just a mental note for customers.... if you are buying frozen food, beware. The checkout person told a customer to take a frozen food item that was left out and place it back in the freezer section. Her response" it's still cold on the outside". Maybe cold on the outside but could be defrosting on the inside. Botulism!!!!! read more

Dollar Tree is relatively new in Pahrump, but boy...am I glad they're here! I always pack toys when I bring my kids to visit family, but buying new toys at the dollar store, it's something to do in Pahrump. I was pretty impressed by the cleanliness of the store and also the variety. Whatever you need, you can probably find some version of it. It may be a cheap knock off brand, but you'll find something that works. While I did roam around the store just to look, I mostly focused on the kid section. You'll find coloring books, puzzles, cheap interlocking building block (ahem, legos) systems, play instruments, building clay (ahem, playdough), arts and craft kits, etc...all for a dollar. Their seasonal toy section was impressive too. Bubbles, water guns, pool noodles... Definitely worth checking this store out. read more

Today was the third and most likely the last time I visit this place. I've read other reviews but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. Most, not all but most employees here are very frustrated, they are miserable employees. I don't know if it's the salary or they simply can't find a job comparable to them. The minute my kids and I walked it I felt overwhelmed by the looks. One employee kept following us. She was also putting things away so I tried to not let it get to me. Then a male person not well groomed walked in, I noticed the same thing. She looked Mad and went after him until he left the store. Any person working at a store should make clients feel welcome. Well it was not my experience. My 10 and 12 year old was looking at some stuff in the aisle nest to me where I can see them. The min she walked by I knew she would say something. She told my kids with a loud and bad attitude to stop messing things up at the store, so obviously I stepped in. I asked if they were not allowed to touch? Her response was: THEY WERE PUNCHING THE BOXES MAM!!! My kids were not punching the boxes, I was there, I saw everything and they didn't punch anything. I ended up leaving earlier than I wanted to because I couldn't stand the sight of her. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name but overall my experience at this Family Dollar was awful. They should train their employees for good customer service as they have none. read more

They keep advertising large round laundry baskets on line for ever, at $1.25 per basket. But never have not even one in stock. Same answer from the staff.... Maybe next week? What's up with customer wanting what is on your web side? read more

I would give it a negative 5 star rating if it were possible. Never have I seen such a filthy dirty dollar store as this one. Spills aren't cleaned up properly, most because they won't hire the people to keep it clean from my observation. There's one person stocking, and four people standing up front talking, why not add to their job description, some cleaning required during slow times? You do a decent amount of business mostly because you sell small quantities of cheap products? So you can afford to keep the place clean and stocked, instead of having filthy shelves and floors with box stacked up all over your store. It's unsanitary, and it's dangerous, not only to your customers, but your employees as well. And you need to have a talk with your employees and explain to them their job description as to dealing with the public who are simply asking questions, of which is part of their job when dealing with the public, instead of them being rude or disrespectful. read more

I love to shop here, but they keep failing with their management choices. My brother with a learning disability was discriminated against by a cashier named Mike. And when he complained to the manager Sheryl, she was more interested in defending Mike's behavior. She actually got pretty loud and embarrassed my brother by calling him a "Fucking retard" because he wanted his money back since they made him feel so bad for paying with change. And Mike threw him a penny and laughed saying "you will probably need that" in an attempt to insult him for using change. read more

Service is horrible. Manager on duty, Holly, was combative, escalated the issue I'd called her over to resolve. Male cashier was sarcastic, caustic, disrespectful and rude. He laughed in my face. Holly refused to give me the store manager's name, shrieked she was in the middle of a shift change, said she had no time to continue a discussion with me and walked away. I can shop anywhere. That's what I'll do, shop somewhere else! Service is horrible. read more

I called to find out their location, and Sandy gave me excellent directions. When I walked in I was dazzled by the cleanliness, and how big the store was. I went up and down each aisle marveling at all of the things available. And truly everything in the store is $1.00+ tax. I was there nearly every day, since I was from out of town, staying at a local hotel. Lita, Sandy, Ryan were always helpful and kind. ( even if I asked the same question three days in a row) . I highly recommend you stop by go up and down each I'll see if there's anything that you need or want and if you have any questions step over and ask and employee. They are all top notch! read more

This Dollar Tree was much cleaner and more organized than the ones I usually shop at in California. And the employees were so sweet and helpful. I mean, they just sell the same stuff that every Dollar Tree carries but it sure is nice to buy that "same stuff" from someone who is friendly and genuinely happy that you came to their store. read more

The products are as expected; cheap. That is not the issue. The store managent is terrible, some employees, even rude. Went back with one lousy defective part, without a receipt, basically told me go away. Next time, came back with another item, defective, with my receipt, basically told me the same thing. I hope they don't treat everyone as poorly as me. I will shop a competitors store in the future. read more
