Some of my earliest memories are of hiding in the racks at Peter Harris whole my mother pored through the slim pickings for my Easter Sunday dress. I no longer live in the area, but I came back to visit family for the holidays and had some time to kill, so on a whim I decided to walk in and see if it looked the same as I remembered. Answer: not at all, and I mean that in the highest regard. Some of the items available are CUTE--I saw shoes, dresses, and even hats I'd wear out, but just ended up walking away with a pair of pants and a sweater. So what's the problem? Well, the store wasn't very busy--probably five shoppers besides myself--and there are three women standing at the register. One is folding clothes to be rung up, one is ringing up said clothes, and one is... just... standing there. I walked up with my purchase to pay and was snapped at pretty rudely that there was only one register open. Why are two women working one register? Why is the other not operating a second register? Ultimately, we ended up with all half dozen shoppers in a slow-moving line. It wasn't a big enough annoyance to prevent me from coming back, but I was annoyed enough to leave a Yelp review, so do with that what you will.

When the store representative closed the machine after clearing the blockage it printed out a cash voucher and not a an e Gift certificate as I requested. The store claimed that they could not do anything to fix their error. I immediately called Coin Star about the issue. They claimed a check would be in the mail in 15 to 20 business days. Now 30+ days have gone by with no refund on my lost money. I spoke to Coin Star twice and they claim the "check will be in the mail" . They are pleasant on the phone but do not support the machine failures.

I moved to this area and into my house just over 3 months ago. My gas oven started making an odd…read morenoise when coming up to temperature. Once at desired temp, no noise was made. I took the bottom of the oven apart and watched the flame when I turned it on. The flame would go up and back down, over and over until it reached the temperature. I took a video of this, showed it to a family member who recommended I go to Rensselaer Appliance. I went there the next morning and was told that they didn't sell that brand of appliance but would order the part and install it. I was quoted a price and then asked if I would be putting good money into something that it would be better to replace. Bottom line was fix it. The service tech that came was Mike. He was polite, professional, thorough and obvious to me he knew exactly what he was doing. When it came to pay, the invoice did not have a breakout of the cost of the part nor labor. When I questioned this, Mike very politely said charges are by the job and if I had questions I should call the store which I did after he left. (I had no problem with Mike, he was just doing his job.) I spoke with the owner asking for the cost of the part and was told he didn't know what it was that he had ordered it. I asked wouldn't there be paperwork for that and he said he would have to look into it and call me back. When he called back he was not courteous nor pleasant in any way especially when I questioned the charge for labor. Mike was here, start to finish for 45 minutes. The labor cost for a 45 minute repair was $279.54. When I questioned (the owner) this he told me they charge by the job and the next time to go somewhere else! He was extremely professional, rude and condescending to me and yes Bob, I will go elsewhere and never set foot in your store again. I was very, very disappointed, to say the least with this overall experience and how I was treated. As an fyi, I have never written a review about any business prior to this. I was treated so unprofessionally, I just could not let this go unspoken.

Since when is bigger size (NOT AN UNUSUAL SIZE womens 9) a special order. He then proceeds to stand there and argue with me. He even said "I'm happy we were able to help you and excited for you!" I literally bought every one that they had in stock. Previously I lived in the area (maybe 5 minutes away)and had about $300 worth of groceries cashed out when I realized I forgot my debit card. I assume the manager moved everything to another register and bagged everything so when I came back I could pay and go. I was apologetic and very embarrassed. She smiled and reassured me and even applied coupons that I didn't have. Right after the remodel I was looking for an item. A guy on the floor spent 20 minutes looking for it because it wasn't where it was supposed to be. Turns out they no longer carry it, he found another location that had it, and had it held for me. A favorite associate was Nikki. My boy wanted a sticker and told her his name once at check out( she was pregnant at the time) she always remembered him by name, I've never seen her without a smile and my son always got a paid for sticker when she was working. Market 32 is a little higher in price but they give gas points to offset.

Rude, unhelpful, lazy, and if you call and ask to have scripts mailed now, don't expect them to do it. Twice I called when scripts were not received and twice told here was nothing to send - they put back on shelf when I did not pick up after 5 days. Despite speaking with two different people over 7 days there were no notes on file and they claim they did not receive a call to mail. Very rude staff. Transferred all my scripts. Covid and short staffed, or not, I won't spend my money where I am treated poorly.
