Manager (I think she's called Pam) and staff are unnecessarily rude and need to be friendlier.

I was fortunate to find a card table, brought it home and when I began washing it off...I was shocked to see that there was no dirt, grime or residue on either the top or the legs! Employees were helpful, friendly, and all had smiles and a happy greeting. I plan to go back soon when I have more time to look around and take it all in.

I found some nice clothes, but man the experience was terrible. The man working had a terrible attitude, audibly scoffed at me when I didn't want to buy a shirt. He even had a terrible attitude when I needed to use the bathroom. He was complaining the entire time. I understand not liking your job...but making other feel physically uncomfortable was beyond me. I am NOT an inconvenience in your store just by walking around. I went to check out and was looking at a shirt (debating on putting it back, giving it back to the cashier) because I noticed some stains. She had already scanned both of my items and then started pointing with both hands at the terminal as if she was telling me to "just pay already" with a nasty look on her face. I don't recommend going here at all. The people at this establishment need better training on CUSTOMER SERVICE. Maybe just some human decency and treating others with kindness. I will not be returning. Don't waste your time or your money here.

Know before you go: it's on 3 floors and there isn't a public elevator. I assume if someone comes in in a wheelchair they can use the freight elevator? In any case, they are about to move to the old ValuCheck store at 1914 Glenn Park Drive, so by 10/1 or so that won't be an issue soon (fingers crossed) Community safety: I knocked off stars for COVID precautions. Only one staff member was masking although everybody was distancing. The current community level of COVID for Champaign County is High and the DPH recommendation is "Wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status or individual risk (including in K-12 schools and other community settings)."

This was my first time visiting a Habitat for Humanity store. I still have not bought anything from these stores before, but this place was super busy on the Saturday morning. The first floor has a small section for electronics, mainly old CRT TVs and other random electronics. They have many desk, tv stands, chairs at very good prices. Depending on your luck I can see how you can make off with a very good deal. The chairs themselves were very old and I could not see myself buying a used recliner. The basement has tons of hardware material well organized. On the second floor is home goods. Lots of the merchandise on this floor is very very old. Overall if you like second hand goods this would be your store. FYI there is no clothes at this store. Pros: cheap second hand furniture if you are on a budget Cons: very old merchandise Hidden deals: The whole store is a hidden deal, just look around
