I ended up visiting toward the end of the day, and the entire staff on shift was warm, laid-back, and super accommodating. The store itself wasn't perfectly organized, but to be completely fair, it was the Saturday right after a busy holiday weekend, so a bit of chaos is totally understandable given the foot traffic they must have had. Nowhere in the store was this supposed policy, and nowhere on the website for Goodwill does it say that they won't prioritize pricing things that are literally on the shelf about to be bought.
