There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.

Love Big Lots. The prices for common household items, grocery, toys, and decor are so good! And the…read morehousehold decor items that they have are surprisingly cute. The service I've had is always great! Make sure that you check things like complex toys before giving them as gifts though because some of the factory defects are more serious than others; like not having an on/off switch for a motorized fishing game

Maybe I'm late at discovering such things (mainly because I wouldn't normally shop at this store…read morechain), but this particular Big Lots not only has quite impressive deals but it's clean all throughout the store and has great employees! I ventured in (due to an e-mailed coupon received from my being a member of their Big Rewards program) to simply shop picture frames for my new apartment and to my surprise the store's shelves were stocked with incredible products ranging from food to decent, quality interior decor! But it wasn't the store, alone, that impressed me, it was the exceptional customer service received from Cheryl, an extremely congenial, conversational and charismatic cashier! Not only did she apply my coupon which brought me in the store in the first place, she added another discount coupon that was expiring that very day, bringing my complete purchase total down to darn near half-off! Service like THIS (received from Cheryl) speaks volumes to a man like me because so many neighboring department stores are staffed with unhelpful and unkind employees with more than enough attitude. And who needs that?! Well... that's not at all the case inside this particular Big Lots. Not only do I look forward to revisiting this store for deals that beat many of the things I USED TO - but no longer will - purchase via Amazon Prime, I'll be on the lookout for my favorite employee! Thanks, Cheryl!!!!!

This Sheetz is convenient, and for that reason they probably have an amazing sales record for gas,…read moregrocery, and food. I have a Sheetz card, and for years I have used that with a loyalty card to get a slightly better price on gas. Now I've reached the point where the gas savings just isn't worth it and I may just drop the Sheetz card and begin getting gas elsewhere. The last 4-6 times I've pumped gas here, I have been accosted -at the pump- by people asking for free stuff (gas, money, etc). The last time this happened I was verbally abused because I refused. This location has always been dirty, which is a little understandable due to the number of customers. But what drew me to Sheetz in the first place was the cleanliness and modern offerings. If you go to some other Sheetz locations, they are nice, clean, and have everything a traveler would need. Maybe it's just me, but as a business owner, I would take some of those profits and make sure the business reputation is intact. This location is a dump, and as a customer, you also get the benefit of being berated by panhandlers and scammers. What's the upside of customers suffering through this experience? A few cents off of a gallon of gas? Doesn't seem worth it.

I always come here for their variety of skin care, especially their Korean face masks. They carry great brands such as COSRX and Esfolio as seen here in my pictures. I've also gotten brands such as Laneige and The Creme Shop. Their haircare and body selection is also very extensive! Of course their product availability varies but I always find something I like. Similar to other TJ Maxxs, they also have jewelry, handbags, perfume, clothing and shoes, home decor, kitchenware, office ware, snacks, pet items, and more. I don't really buy much of their products outside of skincare/body care but I did buy a lot of kitchenware here last year that I still use to this day. Great quality for the price.

My husband, baby, and I were looking for some shoes and a dress for me to wear to an up coming wedding we are attending this month. I unfortunately have severe anemia and a fainting issue. I'm freezing and light headed super frequently, and I brought a coffee with me (was in the strollers cup holder) to help keep my blood pressure up because it does get super low. I was already having issues once we arrived to the store because my fingers were turning white and my head felt a little dizzy. We found a really cute dress, and in the area of the dresses it's super narrow. My husband is pushing our baby with the coffee in the cup holder. Accidentally it got caught on one of the racks. Immediately I start feeling embarrassed myself because I hate to inconvenience anyone, or be that person that makes someone's job harder. I stand at the end of the isle with my baby while he runs to go find and alert someone that we accidentally spilt coffee. Not even 45 seconds later as I turn to look at my baby, I hear two women talking. They proceed to complain loudly about how "shitty" and "disgusting" people are to just leave coffee in the floor. I try to make eyes with my husband from across the store in a panic that these women assumed we had just left it there. He walks back at almost the same time, and says he couldn't find anyone. I said well we need to figure out something because there's two women that walked up right after you left to go find help and to notify someone and they sound really mad and angry-so obviously I wasn't going to go up and confront them. Seconds later one of the women lock eyes with me, and I realize she's an EMPLOYEE. I said tell her you did go and look to someone, and as I say that she brings out her long white rack of clothing and before he can tell this lady that we were the ones who spilled the coffee and we didn't just leave it there. She comes up to me walking her rack and loudly says "excuse me" and I try to push my babies stroller forward and am trying to carry the shoes, and dress we found in my arms. So I'm already shaking because I can feel my blood pressure dropping, and I accidentally dropped the dress and shoes as I go move out of her way. I quietly go to ask my husband "can you please... (I was going to ask if he could pick them up) and she snatches the dress from off the floor and the shoes and throws them on the rack and loudly says "I ASSUME YOU DONT WANT THESE ANYMORE SINCE YOU THREW THEM ON THE FLOOR" and before I could even speak or husband could speak and say I didn't mean to drop them, my hands were full and I was trying to push the stroller. My husband is caught off guard and says "maam what is your problem"? And then tells her she's being extremely rude. Which again she was but I didn't even want him to say anything about her behavior just that it wasn't intentional and that he DID get someone for the spill and that she shouldn't assume that someone did just leave it. She proceeds to say after he called her rude, "oh that's not the worst I've been called before" and walks off. I still wanted to apologize and explain to this woman that she misunderstood the situation entirely and her behavior towards us was completely unwarranted. We go up to a manager and explain the situation, and I told her I did still want to purchase the dress and shoes, and that I was so sorry for the misunderstanding, and that I would never just leave coffee in the floor. That the lady was rude, but I just really wanted the dress and shoes (which I know allot of people wouldn't give a place their money after being treated so poorly) but I again apologized to the manager who which did find the dress and shoes back. As I'm sitting on the bench the same lady just stares at me from across the store giving me a "go to hell look" even AFTER the manager explained the misunderstanding.
