My first Gabe's, we were next door at a shop when we saw this place and wondered what it was. Went inside, lots of clothing and items to buy. Looked through but clothes were just made of poor quality. Yes, it's inexpensive, but you're better off shopping at Ross or TJ Max. Their home section was underwhelming and my husband didn't like the men's clothing options. We saw it...we're done. Not worth a 2nd visit. read more

There was a lot of selection and the prices seemed good but the racks were not organized so finding something in my size was an impossible task. The items that I saw were from various name brands but with the needle in the haystack search I gave up and came up empty handed. read more

HOLY COW. Firstly. I love Gabes and I've been to some great ones in Ohio. We just moved here and checked this one out. They have great prices and lots of options and name brands which the main reason I love it. However.. this location is extremely disorganized and dirty. It's so bad. They are better off burning it down and starting over. Please somebody, do something! read more

I visited the Gabe's in Greensboro at 1302 - 102 Bridford Pkwy, Greensboro, NC 27407. Needless to say it was the most disgusting and unsafe shopping experiences I've ever had the displeasure of shopping in. I have tons of pictures and even a video of the store. From the open candy wrappers, to the spill on the floor that was ignored to the clothes everywhere that was a complete hazard I don't know what was worse. I slipped on so many piles of clothes I got scared because I recently had brain surgery and I try to protect my head at all cost. I saw two shoppers slip on the spill on the floor; and no one seemed to be in a hurry to get it up or at least get a hazard sign out there. I basically spent money to shop in a sh*thole with uncaring employees. This place needs a deep cleaning; from management to employees. read more

Gabe's is one of those stores where it's "hit or miss". I have found some AMAZING deals in there! A Talbot's sweater for my mom for around $9, Lane Bryant jeans for around $12, a sweater from Chico's for $14. The thing is, they get in stuff from clearance from other stores. Sometimes it's a gold mine (usually March for Spring/Summer clothes and September/October for Fall/Winter), the rest of the time there is a good chance you will find at least a couple of great things. For me, the clothes are the best deal. I've found baby things for gifts that were quite lovely, and a couple of home items. Their sandals are pretty cute, but to me their shoes aren't that great - however, I will say that they are probably geared to a different customer in that department. I like somewhat conservative (aka comfortable) shoes - theirs are more trendy. I am pretty sure that over half my wardrobe came from Gabe's, but just be prepared to spend some time. In Gabe's it's actually "the thrill of the hunt" that makes it so great! read more

This store was in much better condition closer to its opening. I won't say you can't find some worthwhile things in Gabe's but sometimes it isn't worth the mess you have to get through to get to it. That being said the staff had been really kind every time I have been there and I think it could be much better if it was much cleaner and more organized. read more

Not the quality found at a tjmaxx but fair for the pricing. Cheyenne (or however you spell her name) is a rude complaining associate that works there. The ppl are sweet but this Lil lady had a 15 min complaining session in front of the entire customer line. She came off as simple, whiney, unprofessional and rude. Its never smart to go off about yout boss in front of customers.... The other associate were side eying her to shut her face but she apparently doesn't take hints too well. With so many store to choose from its important to make sure you hire good, sound HAPPY staff. One apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch but if you see this one, be prepared to get an ear full. read more

I pretty much only go in here when I have to. The employees and very rude and sometimes appear to be on a different planet when they're walking around. The sizes are all.. Strange and inaccurate. I wouldn't go here to buy anything that I would plan on wearing for more than a few weeks. read more

This place reminds me of Rugged Warehouse. Very clean and easy to maneuver through. Great products and deep discounts!

A lot of the clothing is very dirty and are torn. Was not impressed. The inside is not clean and things are just thrown around. Looks worse than a Goodwill store. read more

I love shopping at Gabe's. If you like Ross, TJ Max, etc., then you will love shopping at Gabe's. I love searching for brand names, etc. It is fun and I have never had a bad experience with personnel, just like the other discount stores, you are on your own when shopping and I love it. read more

This store recently opened up off of Peters Creek Parkway in Winston Salem. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store!! The prices here are great! I have visited here at least once a week (sometimes more) since they opened and I don't think there has ever been a time that I have left empty handed. You just can't go here and not find something to buy! I always love their selection of music playing...and the employees are always super friendly, even at the dressing rooms which is typically hard to find. Everyone always seems to enjoy their job and genuinely happy to assist you...so refreshing from the typical lack luster customer service received in most places these days! I do wish parking was a little better. It seems there are way too many handicap spots up front and it would be nice if the coupons given with rewards cards would allow you to just have $5 off a purchase and not make it be on a purchase of $25 or more. It doesn't really feel like a reward when there are stipulations! With that being said, I will continue shopping here because I think it's a great place to shop...great items, great prices, great environment, great variety, and great customer service! read more
