Usually if you go to a thrift store, the toy area is trashed from the kids playing with the toys. But they had the toys higher up on shelves and bagged with the pieces that go with the toys. So they actually had a better selection of toys because all the pieces are most pieces were intact. I ended up buying some toys there for my grandson and also some books. Their prices were good compared to other thrift stores. I did not look at the clothing prices which tend to be ridiculous at most thrift stores. We did not have to wait long at all to check out and the woman was friendly. I have been to the other Blessings Abound thrift store in Overland Park, but not this one. I would recommend it to anyone living in this area.

Deep discounts for your trip here. Things I spotted included name brand coffee makers, computer desks, fans, vacuums, toys, grills, pop up canopy, shelving units, art, party supplies. From now on before I buy anything elsewhere I'll be checking here first. They are expecting frequent deliveries so stock will change quickly and they plan to expand into the space next door soon. I found two cans of deck stain that are the exact same. I have to dig through 8 shelves of deck stain to find two that matched. They were 1/3rd the price of Home Depot and went on perfectly. I feel a little bad using thier paint brushes as single use, but I don't have to worry about ruining my sink or clothes. I found a great buy on bird seed, the next week they were all sold out. Most items have price tags, but if not the staff will search out the price. Usually the check out line is slow, so be prepared to be patient. I usually bring in a cart from outside because the inside carts have large sticks attached to the sides.

It's typically pretty dirty and they racks of clothes just pushed into random spots around the store so it's very cluttered and difficult to navigate. There's also very little rhyme or reason to how most of the Knick-knacks and books are organized. It's just kids books and adult books, not separated by genre or even fiction vs. nonfiction. The service is always pretty good. The people are friendly and say hello and goodbye. It's still not anywhere close to the best thrift store in the area but they have improved a little bit. I do think it's terrible how much prices have gone up in the last several years. The point of thrift stores is for low-income people to have the chance to buy good quality things secondhand for an affordable price. A lot of these places are forgetting that.

Be prepared for people to shove you out of the way to get something they want or, alternatively, stand 3 inches away and give you the stink eye while you dig through a bin they want to look in. As other reviewers have said, the people working there often just make up prices. This can sometimes work out in your favor but often leads to overpaying, especially if they make you weigh the cart. Whatever weight they have put in for the carts is not accurate at all and will lead to you paying extra 99 times out of 100. Seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. Or nose. I had a great time browsing through all they had. They must restock at different times. But I loved the tea selection and was able to get custard powder, something that is unheard of in the US. They also had clotted cream, which is one of my favorite things! I will for sure be back as I still have not been able to go back to the UK!
