This picture asks you to keep your children safe. Children aren't actually allowed.

Be aware that this location does not allow children under the age of 14 inside. This is not posted clearly in any space, so we were informed when we arrived. We were told it is for safety reasons. I would understand this, save for the fact that Buy The Pound Thrift, which operates under the same bin structure, has been successfully allowing children since they opened. There are several other bin shopping places in the city that also allow children. This policy should be clearly written in several places to avoid wasted gas and trips. There is a sign saying to keep your children safe, which I saw in the pictures before coming here initially. Why do you have signage about keeping your kids safe if your don't allow them in the store?!

The adventure and treasure-hunt awaits you!

You didn't know it... but this is what you were waiting for. The Goodwill Outlet. Could thrift store prices get any better, you ask? Why... yes! They just did. At the outlet, items are priced by the pound, so you can get a pair of used Uggs (if you happen to be there on such a day) for under $2. But be warned, you can also find a bunch of other stuff that you didn't know that you wanted. When you walk in to the outlet, you see a whole bunch of blue bins full of stuff. At first, it might look like junk, but if you look deeper, you might find a treasure. What happens is that the items that don't sell at Goodwill stores in the region are brought to this spot for one last chance to sell. There are bins of clothes, shoes, glass items, and household items... toys and randoms galore! Be careful to pay attention to the rules when you go in. New items ("a rotation") come out about every half hour to hour, for the entire time the store is open. So, you will be asked to step away from the old items and they will roll out new bins filled with merchandise. Everyone will be asked to stay behind the yellow/red line until the workers tell you that it is okay to walk and stand by the merchandise. But... wait! Don't shop or touch any of the items until you are given the go ahead. When they say "go," get in there and start treasure hunting. Every day and every shopping experience is different. You never know what you are going to find. Give it a try for an hour or two and I hope you find something fun and a deal of the day!

    all for under $20!

Decent selection. Not the best in quantity. The size of the store was smaller than expected but the staff was attentive.

This is the best place. I love just scouring thru the bins searching for everything. It's like a big storage unit sale. :)

It is not to be considered a thrift store, it is not a thrift store, and is only a last chance store for items before their disposal.

Consistently dirty,…read morehigher prices than any other thrift in the city, poor selection of everything except clothes, and usually pretty bad customer service. There are some gems if you know how to look and hit on sale days, but don't expect awesome hauls here if you aren't ready to drop a couple hundred dollars. They've recently changed their dollar rack to be two dollars instead. Special shoutout to the "Vintage Shop." Anything that looks old, worn, and useless gets chucked over in that corner for a special 100-500% markup of the price that item would normally be. Half of the stuff in that section isn't even vintage. If every price in the store was cut in half, it might be worth it. I'm a huge thrifter and this is our least frequent thrifting stop, if that tells you anything.

I recently completed some community service hours at Red Racks, and the experience was extremely…read moredisappointing--especially because of one manager named David. This man should not be in any type of management position. Calling him unhelpful is honestly being generous. When I first arrived to sign in so they could log my hours, my file was missing. I told the woman who was supervising at the time, and she couldn't find it either, so she just scribbled her initials. I only worked two hours that day, but when I went back to get credit for them, David told me I'd have to talk to the person who signed me out. I described her to him, and he claimed he "couldn't recall" who I was talking about and said I'd need to track her down myself. I don't have a vehicle, so I can't just drive up there every day hoping to find her. I called again later and unfortunately got David a second time. I explained again that I needed my hours credited--hours I actually worked--and he still refused to help. Throughout my time volunteering there, none of the managers acted like leaders. They barely acknowledged me. They'd just tell me to straighten clothes or fix hangers. Since I've worked retail before, I asked for a rag to wipe down the shelves because they were filthy, and they didn't even seem to know where anything was. While I was there, I overheard multiple customers complaining--one about being charged for items they didn't buy, another about the prices being way too high for a thrift store. I agreed with them and made it clear I was just a volunteer. When I looked around myself, I was shocked at how overpriced everything was, especially considering the store gets all its merchandise donated for free and relies heavily on unpaid volunteers. If you're looking for a place to complete community service hours, I strongly recommend going somewhere else. And honestly, if you're just looking to shop at a thrift store, you might want to choose a different one too. I'm clearly not the only person who's had a bad experience here.

I appreciate that they have color tag sales but the colors are confusing. Yellow looks just like orange, for example. The store itself could use some improvements. It's typically pretty dirty and they racks of clothes just pushed into random spots around the store so it's very cluttered and difficult to navigate. There's also very little rhyme or reason to how most of the Knick-knacks and books are organized. It's just kids books and adult books, not separated by genre or even fiction vs. nonfiction. The service is always pretty good. The people are friendly and say hello and goodbye. It's still not anywhere close to the best thrift store in the area but they have improved a little bit. I do think it's terrible how much prices have gone up in the last several years. The point of thrift stores is for low-income people to have the chance to buy good quality things secondhand for an affordable price. A lot of these places are forgetting that.
