I've been looking for a place in town that I could get fashion color done, specifically pink highlights. After a friend of mine posted pictures of her fashion color on Facebook, I asked where she had it done. She told me Dollhouse, so I checked out their Facebook page and loved what I saw. I immediately called and made an appointment! I have very dark brown hair so to achieve this took some time and definitely knowledge! Mandi was my stylist and she was very thorough in explaining which process would give me the best end result. She was so friendly and it was very obvious that she knew exactly what she was doing! This was a new process for me, but I couldn't be happier with my experience at Dollhouse, I will be going back!

After a fresh look by Mandi!

The girls at Dollhouse are awesome!!!! They are inventive, experienced, fun and do an awesome job! I drive three hours to have my hair done by Mandi! She always does what I want and is willing to come up with new looks! She is honest about what she doesn't want as well! I don't trust anyone else with my hair or wax! I'm excited that they have now also added a Nail Tech to the team!! Dollhouse has a fun, trendy environment feel of a big city salon in a small town!! Love it!

Sarah cut and styled my hair incredibly. Loved her work and the price! Will definitely be back

Danielle is fantastic with curly girls, as I discovered is the technical term for women with curls! I had been to so many different stylist in indianapolis searching for more information on how to maintain a curly haired look, and was always disappointed with the same answer that there is nothing "special" to having curly hair. Turns out I was right when I visited Danielle she introduced me to Deva Curl, and took the time to teach me how to properly wash curls while not over doing it with products. She guided me toward a book all about the different curl types that walks you through how to wash, condition and style teaching me so many new things I didn't know I was doing wrong! This experience is what I had been looking for and I left her salon feeling like I had received more knowledge about hair care with a manageable haircut, which is how a salon experience should be. She took her time to make sure she cut my hair according to the fall of my curls, and I could not be happier with the care she put into my new look!

This may or may not be a fair review. Started out about four months ago. Got a great haircut from a…read morewoman named Stephanie. I got a good haircut for about three times. For the first time I had a regular appointment and getting the hair cut I liked. Then I showed up for an appointment for Stephanie to tell me she had something come up and couldn't cut my hair. I was upset that I drove 30 minutes to get a cut only not to, but I understand emergencies happen. I go back to my old habit of getting a Great Clips cut, sorta like McDonald's French fries, maybe they are hot maybe they are cold. Vs a good cut to a bad cut. I call Stephanie set up an appointment for the next cut. Showed up to have Stephanie seemed surprised about my appointment, she realized she didn't have room for me so I left upset wondering why I waisted my time and just roll the dice with Great Clips. I did make up my mind that Stephanie didn't seem to care about the importance of time. My wife made an appointment to day with another stylist at Le Crazy Horse. At 130, I was thankful and showed up early only to find it did me no good. Which is on me, I waited until 140 for 130 appointment only to be told five more minutes. Normally I would wait but I had another appointment and knew I would be late so no hair cut. I'm an easy male cut, and believe it or not I rarely complain. I would love to find someone that cared about their work.

The Good: They have a very nice, new massage chair. I found the pedicurist to be friendly and maintained conversation the whole time. They had a pretty good selection of OPI and China Glaze polishes, including some 'trendy' colors. She did a very good job getting rid of the cracked skin on my heels (gross, I know!) The Not So Good: The pedicure chair is pretty out in the open, meaning you are right next to a hair stylist and the waxing room, as well as an entrance. I was able to hear conversations from the waxing room while my feet soaked, not the most relaxing environment. There isn't anywhere to really sit and wait after the pedicure is finished, I felt pretty rushed to leave and ended up ruining the polish on one of my toes because it wasn't completely dry. She also left some smudges where polish had touched the skin. They weren't horrible, but not great either. The Bad: When she was removing my existing polish (or at some other point), my cuticle was damaged, leaving a cut. It's no fun getting a pretty pedicure, only to have to wear a bandage on my big toe to avoid anything getting into the cut! If I were to go back, I'd probably ask to not have my cuticles clipped, just to be on the safe side. As a side note, when I was getting my pedicure done, a customer came in who had her hair hacked by one of their newer stylists. I know this can happen anywhere and sometimes stylists have bad days, but it didn't make me feel comfortable going there to get my hair cut in the future. Although, she was coming back to get it fixed by another stylist, who she seemed to trust, so there must be some good stylists in the salon.

My poor mom...she got a cut at the same time by the same person and WOW! There's nothing I can do for her until it grows out. Talk about a hack job. Will never go there again! EVER!
