Tips... you might get wet sitting outside. If you wait until you arrive at the Cliffs and he will open the forward hatch and you have a great view of the cliffs from the front of the boat

The cruise lasts about an hour, and takes you over pretty close to the famous cliffs. The day I went, the weather was beautiful, so I got some fantastic views of the cliffs and all of the birds that nest there. It was really breathtaking and I recommend it. The price is pretty reasonable (€15 for the cliffs cruise) and I really like that they don't spend a lot of time yapping over the loudspeaker. They just boat you out there, you take a bunch of pictures and enjoy the views, and then they boat back. I do wish the cruise was a little longer and went a bit further down the cliffs. But its definitely worth your time if you're in the Doolin area. 4 1/2 stars.

Went for a tour of a local island with this company last summer, and had a great time!…read more The tour guide was able to give us loads of information on the history and heritage of the island, seal spotting was included and then we were brought to a spot where we could swim and jump off the rocks into the water and just have fun in the sun, a great family day out for all, adults and children alike. I will note that kayaking can be quite a tiring activity, especially if you are younger or abit smaller in build (such as myself) it can be tough to paddle against the current, however the instructor/tour guide keeps a close eye on everyone and provides encouragement along the way, and it is worth it once you get to land and can enjoy the beauty that Ireland has to offer. We were exceptionally lucky, the day we kayaked was sunny (a rare occasion indeed!), but seeing as you are already getting wet from being in the sea I can imagine it would matter too much if there was a small shower or too throughout the day! The tour took a good couple of hours, including the kayak in and out to the island and back to the mainland, so I recommend bringing supplies with you (including a picnic of sorts, suncream, sunglasses, water and sensible shoes are a must!). Also be wary, parts of the tour can be quite overgrown, as this island is uninhabited, so while shorts may be needed for nice weather, longer, lightweight trousers may be a good idea to pack! The tour guide was friendly and positive throughout, another bonus, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to do something a little more active and outside of the box.

I would not recommend taking any of the ferries from the Doolin pier to the Aran islands. 1) There…read moreis no way to know which ferry to take as there is no signage. We paid for passage to Inish Mor but were herded from line to line and taken to wrong island. 2) When we asked the crew about getting to the other island they were unconcerned and advised us to make sure we were back at the pier early in order to get back to Doolin. 3) When we arrived to the pier to return there were mobs of people, no signage, and no information. There were probably 300 people waiting for return ferry but there was no way of knowing what ferry to board or if other ferries would come as there were mind of people and not enough ferries. 4) Extremely unsafe environment as mobs of people trying to push into tiny gangway with nothing but a gap between pier and boot to fall into and be crushed between boat and pier.

We never got off the bus, just sat quietly for the 20-or-so minute ride and then we were there! I did see that there are restrooms and even a snack counter if you did want to get out of your car and explore. But the ride is quick, so I think most people just turned up their music or took a little nap and let the ferry do it's thing.

This hike is absolutely amazing. Weather permitting, you hike about 7 miles, and it takes 3-3 1/2 hours...it is worth every minute. It can be rough in spots with steep inclines, and walking near the edge, but Pat is a wonderful guide who helps everyone to stay safe. He talks a lot about the local area, growing up with the Cliffs basically in his back yard...its just incredible. You get some of the most spectacular views that you won't get at The Cliffs of Moher Experience.

Our driver, the owner of RC Golf Escapes, did an outstanding job. He exceeded our expectations, at every turn. He was always one step ahead of us in making certain everything was in order at the Hotels and Golf Courses. My wife ran out of medicine due to the volcano in Iceland extending her stay, and Roy drove us 25 km to a nearby town to the pharmacy twice to get the prescriptions filled. Drove her back to Shannon so she could check on flights. Very professional and always punctual. Great experience.

Besides that though the cliffs are a wondrous sight to behold fascinating and empowers the power of the sea and its landscape. They are not closed off to pedestrians and u can literally sit on the ledges and view them. We had a nice calm day and bring comfy shoes that u dont mind getting dirty . One thing i would say is avoid eating in the cliff side restaurant as its hugely over priced 13.50 for a bowl of stew 2.50 for a small bottle of coke. The museum isnt that intresting seems very out dated. The cinema viewing area looks like something ud see on an old playstation1 . Go for the sights but leave to eat .

The area itself may require a fee, but since I went with a tour bus, our ticket was included. There is a visitors center that has many cool souvenirs cliffs related and Ireland related. They also have restrooms for public use that are unisex, but there are plenty. The weather is ALWAYS changing, so you are just going to have to risk it making it out when the rain stops. I was lucky enough to go on a day that had some rain, but when I got there it got sunny for us for most of the time we were there. There is a tower that allows people to get a nice view, but it was not open the day that I went. I'm not sure if their hours are listed. I did hear from our tour guide that when it is open it's a couple Euro to climb and enjoy taking pics.
