I love when she gets so excited that she literally starts screaming because someone in class is going off. She celebrates people constantly, by name or even just noticing something they're rocking like, "Yes, GREEN JUMPSUIT!" Being the only guy in the class, I've never once felt isolated, judged, or uncomfortable about assumptions people might make about me. I've only ever felt celebrated. It was refreshing not having to navigate that in a public place. She encourages fluidity in whatever way feels right for you, whether it's super masc, super feminine, or somewhere in between. Her focus is helping you connect to your artistic dance spirit, and that's when you know you're doing it right. She also celebrates neurodiversity and really focuses on what the strengths are within that, while also helping people navigate certain challenges. Karma's class is more than just learning choreography. Watching her dance is witnessing powerful, raw, and inspiring artistry. When she demos, it honestly feels like a mini performance during class. Then when she dances with us right after, you feel like this epic backup dancer, and it inspires new moves and articulations within you. There's also a strong sense of community in Karma's class. She's built a culture where you not only bring self-love to the class, but appreciation and love for the people dancing alongside you. Someone might be doing a twerk, an offbeat wild move on their chair, or some epic crawl across the floor, and the whole class erupts with roaring encouragement. Karma encourages asking questions about the dance moves and routines. She absolutely loves them. The atmosphere in the classes is very positive and friendly - it feels like you're part of a big dance family The studio itself has several dance rooms. They are always clean, cozy, well-ventilated, equipped with air conditioning, and have large mirrors, which is very important for dance practice. The receptionist is also very pleasant, positive, and friendly. I was absolutely delighted with my experience at this studio and would happily recommend it to my friends who love dancing.

I love the redroom style and the lighting really gives you that feeling of performing burlesque! They are so motivational about loving your body and practicing self love. I also like how every class offers modifications so it's easily accessible for students of all levels! I felt challenged yet felt myself being able to pick up the choreo pretty quickly since it was broken down so effectively! The space is brand new so the floors really make it easy to glide on! The ambiance throughout is fun and eclectic! Bonus points for allowing students to borrow knee pads, since this is definitely a necessity for most of the choreo classes! I then started to take Pilates and have been doing it for many, many years and I still do. Having a full knee replacement last August, my life has changed dramatically. My ability to do yoga has changed significantly and I was so excited to return to this studio. Feldenkrais interests me and they have it here. They film the classes ( only seeing the teacher) and you can watch it for free for several days after every class you take... It was moderate to intense cardio as well as total body with stretching added in at the end. It ended a few mins early and started a few mins late but you get your work and sweat in for sure. I recommend this class and I will be returning. I would also like to try out their aerial yoga.

I appreciate that the experience is very raw and authentic, centered around yoga as a philosophy over just a workout class. There are no mirrors, which allows me to be present and focused on my internal mind body connection versus how a pose looks. I particularly enjoy Marielle's classes, with intentional cues and meditative pace. Regular attendance has allowed me to grow in my practice on and off the mat. If you're looking for a welcoming community of yogis at all levels, the Nest is a great place to start.
