I rented a 12-passenger boat for our group of 8 adults + 1 dog (golden retriever), and it was such a wonderful experience! The staff were friendly and patient, and the boat itself was spacious, very clean, and easy to drive (according to my husband, haha). We booked for 3 hours (3:30-6:30pm), which turned out to be the perfect amount of time. The harbor is beautiful, and it was so much fun cruising around and checking out all the homes. We even got lucky and spotted two dolphins! The meeting location was easy to find, though keep in mind that parking is only available along PCH. Highly recommend! read more

I had SUCH a great experience with Sundream Rentals! I initially called Surf City Boat Rentals to inquire about renting a Duffy boat. They texted me and told me their scheduler would call me. Casey called me soon after to get me booked. After I made the reservation, I got an email from Sundream Rentals, so maybe they're partners? I initially reserved the boat for 2 people and a dog, but then my sister and brother-in-law decided to come visit, so a week prior to my reservation, I called Sundream Rentals and added 2 more people and another dog. They were very accommodating. I arrived 20 mins early to the address they provided, but did not see anyone there. I called them and Haley directed me via phone to the gate. My tip for people is to drive past the address they provide and park right in front of Gate B! Casey was already there and had everything prepared. The boat was clean and well-maintained. There was a mini fridge on board as well as a microwave and trash bags! The boat has plastic surrounding it, so you could zip yourselves up completely in cooler weather - plus, there are heated seats! Casey taught us how to drive the boat and helped us connect our phone to bluetooth so we could play music. He was super helpful - the experience was so easy and pleasant, I'd 100% recommend and would not hesitate to rebook in the future! read more
