I just had the install of blinds at my home. What I wasn't impressed at all, was "one" of the installer's attitude, who had been quite rude "on & off" during the install, and obviously not with correct instructions install with the opening/closing side for blinds, which had been fully discussed with a tech who came to measure prior. They had to re-do the opening by switching to the oposite side. By completion of install, installer no longer needed the step stool-- instead of picking it up-- he just threw it across the floor, on the procelain tile!! Porcelain tile or stone tile in general is fragile, don't they know? It breaks! No apology for this--no big deal for the guy.... Am disappointed in regards to this behavior,unprofessional & careless in my opinion. May 11, 2024. I went into Domenick's Blinds and Decor because I needed some Blind Buttons for the bottom of an older Blind. I also needed some Wood Valence Plastic Clips because my Valence had fallen and the Clips broke. This business has a lot of accessories for Older and newer Blinds. I had a very nice employee Tammy helping me find the Blind pieces I needed. I was happy when I left there that I could get the Blind accessories I needed to fix my Blinds. I give this Business a Five Star rating. They carry a lot of Blind Metchandise and also repair Blinds in their business. I reccomend highly this place for all your Blind Services. read more

Very overpriced for plantation shutters! Find another alternative option. They wouldn't quote me a price on the phone or by email and insisted on sending out one of their staff to measure my windows. So of course the price is going higher...It's interesting to note that the guy got the exact same measurements that I did. Imagine that...When we received the quote, I nearly had a heart attack, since the price was three times higher than what it should have been. read more

I needed a few plastic parts to fix my Hunter Douglas blinds. The very pleasant woman at the reception desk found the parts that I needed and did not charge me for them. Would not have gotten that kind of service on-line or at a big box store. So, kudos to Domenick's. read more

They would not schedule an appointment to come and see the area I needed blinds for. They insisted I come into the store first, and then they would come out and measure. Not a big deal as it's not far away, but when I walked in and saw the giant "We Love Trump" sign, that was it for me. I'm sick of people's politics being shoved in my face. read more

After my previous poor review, Domenick's did reach out to us to try to make our situation right. While I wish they would have done so in the first place, they did remake the bedcover to the correct size at no charge to us. This was an expensive and unpleasant situation that brought us much distress. I am thankful to Domenick's for eventually doing the right thing. read more

Received an initial estimate of $950 in house but the sales rep was going to try to get a 10-15% reduction and would call back that day. No call back. I call the next morning and he's out but will call me before 1 PM, calls after 4, I miss it and call back 15 min later and he's out again but will call me in 20 from the office. No call back. Finally the next morning Justin calls, and gives me the final quote which has increased by 42% to $1,350 !!! He wants a call back ASAP so he can place the order... Seriously avoid a business that lacks ethics in my opinion. read more

Domenick's did Plantation Shutters at my house in Parrish, FL. There was a slight glitch in the size of the Shutters that came, but, Domenick himself made it right and stands behind his business. Because of that, I am using them again at my home in North Port fl. the job is not finished yet, we are waiting for the shutters to arrive. Once it is complete, assuming they do as good a job on the install as last time, I will update this review and add the last star. I recommend this company to any one looking for Blinds or Shutters. read more

I had plantation shutters and vertical blinds installed by Domenick's Blinds & Decor Gallery on Clark and I was very pleased with the service and the products. There were a couple of hiccups with mismeasuring but when the installer was here he called the office and the owner came right out to measure again. They also had the manufacturer out to measure his measurement to make sure everything was correct and the manufacturer from Ft Myers manufactured the shutters within days. What is important to me is the way a company handles errors and this company took care of it immediately. That is good customer service in my book. I will be working with them again in the very near future. I would gladly refer this company to friends and relatives. read more

I have used Dominicks 3 times now...3 complete jobs in the last 28 years. I have ALWAYS been very satisfied with their workmanship and service on all my window treatments and that's why I always go back. I did compare cost with other companies to make sure I was getting the best for my dollar, comparing apples to apples, and Dominicks still out beat their competitors bids. The staff seemed to lack basic knowledge of their products. I went in seeking replacement solar shades using my existing motorized system. They told me it couldn't be done. So I went up the street to another vendor who said it wouldn't be a problem and did it under budget and on time. Frankly, I was relieved to NOT do business with these people. read more

Extremely unprofessional business. Incorrect measuring, improper installation, product unfamiliarity, property damage, window scratches, lengthy delays (over three months), did not return calls, did not show up for scheduled appointments, combative and argumentative. I finally cancelled the order and got a refund after months of frustration. Be very careful, there are many choices out there. read more
