bought a bag of what I was to believe were organic apples, but riddle me this? wild animals won't eat this fruit, not one tiny nibble, I live near the water in Florida and we have rats and mice , raccoons, possums, wild boars and piglets and a thousand birds, and countless insects, and after a week outside not one insect or animal has bothered to eat the apples, so I don't know what you did to &uck up an apple but I ain't eating this crap. read more

It's located in an iconic for a building with a giant sign that simply reads "Fruit" - Washington nostalgia at its best! Apparently they are renting the place from the previous owners had lucky for all of us, it gives us a chance to buy more delicious produce and local products a little bit further down on the trail! Located on the way out to Naches, this place has tons of great stuff be at for a bike ride, a barbecue or just grabbing some delicious tree grown treats for at home. The produce that is available here largely mirrors what is down the road a few miles at the main stand near Suntides golf course. When we came in, they had tons of fresh bing and rainier cherries, apricots, peppers, Blueberries and plenty of potatoes and onions. The array of colors on any of the tables is always impressive and make sure thankful to live in a place like this! In addition to fruit, they roast their own peanuts, sell Tillamook ice cream, So local honey, rustic wooden furniture as well as meats from a butcher in Selah and smoked salmon from a small town on the Westside. It all added up to more than we were expecting and gave us a lot of reasons to come back here other than just the tree fruit options. The prices are very reasonable and the gal working here was very friendly. It's the sort of place you stop on your way out and on your way back, and is a good reason to carry a bag or basket on your bike! A great stop no matter what the occasion.

The owners were two of the friendliest people I have ever met and they were a font of knowledge regarding the various objects in their store. If you would like to spend a fun couple of hours, I invite you to stop off at the Natches Trading Post. First off, their sign-up and pick-up is easy and done online through Farmigo. Their CSA subscription is flexible in that you can put a delivery hold and get credit back. Their customer service is very responsive.... and best of all, you get to enjoy the best summer fruits like cherries, plums, peaches, and nectarines! They do a great job informing you what's in the box, and what's going on at the farm and give you notice when the boxes are delivered to your pick-up location. I appreciate the transparency in their communication. This year, for the first time, they partnered with another farm for berries. We jumped on that since my toddler can consume so many berries. However, maybe due to the weather this year, the berries were quite disappointing in sweetness and size. About three weeks in, my husband and I decided we wouldn't get the berry next summer. Well, Collins Family Orchards sent an email shortly after saying they were not of the quality they were expecting and refunded us for the remainder. I appreciate their proactiveness. It made it so I had more confidence in getting the berries again if it is offered next year.

I understand that vendors have to follow COVID restriction guidelines by selecting produce for the customers, but we should be able to trust that quality selections will be made on our behalf. I was buying 1 pound of Rainier cherries today which are $7/lb - not cheap but worth it. Over half of the cherries these two gals selected were spotted, bruised, had those weird little appendages and just looked bad. I couldn't believe it. It left me feeling I couldn't walk away and feel good about this transaction so I was honest and told them these cherries were not good and wanted to exchange for the other cherries which were big, juicy and healthy looking. They were rude and wanted me to take the discards with me since I had *touched* them. Maybe they can't resell them because they've been touched by a customer, but seriously, they shouldn't have been selling those anyway - they were discards to begin with. I will NEVER buy from this vender again and I suggest that you double check the quality before you walk away from the stand.
