I will not be stopping there in the future as the other goods in the store are mostly overpriced and I am not looking to buy overpriced 'antiques' when I need produce. If we hadn't been tipped off about this place by a local we never would have stopped. So glad we did. While traveling home from a convention we started looking for local cherries. One stop we made was at a place that was out, but they told us about this place. It's right off the highway just north of Yakima. You just see a sign that says "FRUIT ANTIQUES" which in and of itself sets the brain on high alert. But, when you walk in there's fruit, and antiques! Two great things that go great together. We loaded up our basket with Rainier cherries, peaches, onions and horseradish pickles. Then we browsed the antiques for a while. It was a wonderful stop! The employees were super friendly, the store is dog friendly and the amount of items they have in both produce and knickknacks is mind boggling. I have always made a point of stopping here, grabbing peaches, hermiston watermelon, ice cream, restroom break and other items. I am not sure what has happened but I have stopped by 2x in the past week. They are so insanely overpriced on everything it is amusing. They are selling cast iron skillets for $49+ dollars when I have seen them for sale brand new in Walmart and other places for $30 and less. Their "used" dvds are $3.00 a piece, Hermiston melons were double in price, sweet corn in season was $4.00 more than anywhere else. Fresh huckleberries were $19.99 for a lb...yes a POUND. I nearly burst out laughing and shook my head. I drive through in a few more weeks and will be avoiding stopping here, no one appreciates being price gouged. read more

I bought 3 boxes of peaches here, middle of August 2023. All 3 boxes were so wormy, I lost one whole box to them. Never have I ever in the 50 years of canning peaches, have I found so many worms. Don't buy your fruit here. Horrible mistake I'll never make again. When you drive 2 hours to buy the fruit you want to preserve for the year, you can't be trusting places this bad. It's a cool stop if you're on the road into Yakima and want a healthy snack, and while I did not buy any antiques or souvenirs, the prices I saw were all reasonable. Their opening hours are incorrect on Google: they close at 7 p.m., not 8. The employees weren't the friendliest and were quick to get me out the door, but I am sure that is only because I accidentally walked in just moments before closing (when I thought I had an hour)! I loved the honeycrisp apples I bought and would come back for more next time I'm in the area. read more

I have shopped here many times. They have evolved to being too expensive for the product and then they charge you to use a debit card. Hardly anyone in the store today..... Kinda says it all. Recommend some mid-course adjustments. read more

Super cute! I mean, it's not my kind of store but I loved it. They do have a TON of food and fruits to choose from. They also have tractor trailer parking so that's a huge plus for me. I'm okay with this fruit stand, but I do have to say that it's less about the fruit these days and more about everything else. I do know that the Rainiers I bought here yesterday were delicious.. and I'm pretty sure that the bread n' butter pickles (canned in Yakima) will be too, but yeah... I think they need to rope in back in here and make it more about Washington's produce, rather than canned goods and snacks. I do like the antique mall part of the equation... just get some more local produce in here (lots more) and I think that it'd make everyone much happier. read more

It's like a tourist attraction but it's not. It's just a fruit stand and Antiques store on the way out of Yakima. We stopped in here on our way out of town. Lovely peaches and corn and onions and apples and well you get the picture. You can also find all kinds of sauces, preserves, wine and the ever so nasty Aplet & Cotlet. It's a nice place to stop just before leaving Yakima for those last second peaches you might be craving. read more

Oh Yakima Fruit Stand where did you go wrong? When I was a kid your hall was FULL of yummy fresh fruits and veggies. There were antiques in the back and candy that we would beg our parents for. Now there's still the fresh fruits and veggies, but far less. The candy selection has grown, and the place has totally lost it's local flavor. I mean really, people shop there to support local business and try some fabulous local produce. Now the place is crammed full of preserves from Scandanavia, fig flavored balsamic vinegar from california and all kinds of stuff you can find in ANY grocery store in Seattle. Where's the fun in that???? When I was a kid we would by entire flats of pears and peaches to take home and my mom would can them. Today I don't think I could have bought a flat of peaches, because they barely had any! Next time I'll try the one outside Thorpe. read more

When I was younger I remember long dives to Walla Walla to visit family. We used to always stop by fruit stands like that and get a lot of fantastic, juicy fruit (real fruit, not gum). We came in because we wanted to get some delicious fruit. I don't know if I have ever been to this one but they didn't have the selection of fruit that I remember. I just remember seeing some apples, some other things, candy, and a bunch of antiques in the back. It was interesting to walk through but we didn't get anything. I recently discovered this store on my way back from Yakima and I felt like I hit the mother load that day b/c I spent three hours in their antiques section which is huge! There are so many different sellers/consignment booths that you get a wide variety from classic and traditional to awesome and eclectic. They also have a lot of large furniture pieces and had I not been driving my Fiat instead of my husband's Honda CRV, I would have come home with a lot more. I still couldn't see much out of the back window because I literally filled the Fiat from bumper to bumper with lots of goodies ranging from white-washed deep wooden box frames, (one of which is housing all of the clutter of girly things from my bathroom counter and with some wallpaper behind it...soooo cute!), steel storage racks that look like vintage milk containers, large wood fruit bins, and even scored a pair of $40 Ariat black leather boots in my size that retail new for $170. Maybe I just got lucky the day I was there....but I definitely plan to return since it's only a couple of hours away from Seattle and nobody bothers you while you're walking around in circles and picking up thing after thing. I still have my eye on a mid-century modern entertainment console - hoping it's still there when I return since it's on the second level (a smaller space reserved for their larger furniture pieces which I found kind of odd, but just glad I found it!)....or maybe now some other lucky soul can score. Although I didn't spend much time in their food and beverage section, I did see some of the typical local wares from local farms and bakeries that looked tasty, but I've seen them at many other stores as well. One thing that did stand out in regards to munchies though was the taste, fragrance, and variety of their gourmet popcorn - wowza! I tried at least four flavors and wanted to purchase a bag of each - so fresh and no weird fake corn syrup aftertaste stuck on your tongue. read more

Got off at exit 29 to turn around, after missing my exit earlier. Saw this fruit stand and knowing Rainier Cherries should be out soon, thought I'd drop in. Was so glad I did. It's a fun shop.. full of antiques, wine, mustards, sauces, jams, pickles, candies, fruits.. lots of touristy stuff.. Chardonnay cake mix, Applets and Cotlets anyone? :)) They introduced me to Strawberry Rainier Cherries, a cross between a Bing and Rainier. (oh my, I could eat my weight in them.. or wait.. I think I did!!). I also picked up some asparagus and found that, and their fruit, to be above average from the other places I stopped.The staff working that day was helpful, great service and very fun!! Sometimes, missing an exit isn't such a bad thing.. this was definitely one of those times. Will definitely make a trip there next time we are in the area. We stopped by this place on our way home from Eastern Washington, earlier today. OMG, this store was FILLED with such goodies, that I had a hard time deciding what to actually buy without breaking the bank. There were so many different choices for canned and bottled goods.... sauces, dressings, bbq, spread, etc... Once I saw the apple butter, it was alllllllllllllllllllll over from that point on. And I love how they have the place set up. Tons of old stoves with jars displayed on and around them. And then there is the back half of the store, with is all antiques. I kid you not, we probably walked around for a good hour, just looking at all things nostalgic. We found several things that we WANTED, but didn't get. Though, we did find some good gifts for birthdays and xmas, which we snagged up. If you find yourself driving through Yakima, take a small break in your trip and stop off at this store, and peruse the aisles. You never know what you will find to bring home with you.... either to eat, or display. read more

This place is OK. I went here to look just at antiques, not any fruit or veggies. The place is fun to look at, but there's a smaller selection than the Thorp Antique Mall, because it's only one floor and not three like Thorp is. Bought a full bar of old Fels-Naptha soap, and a couple magazines. Tons of old unopened sodas too, mostly the odder brands like Nehi, Crush and O-So Beverages. Love this place! Antiques AND food! How can you go wrong? We came out of there today with some incredibly low-priced antiques and some fresh veggies! YUM! We loved it so much, plan on heading back in the morning, if they are open. If not...we will see you soon, we have our eye on some antique furniture there!
