This Arthur Ave spot…read moreis your answer for ice cream, Zeppoles, Churros (yeah...those too) and of course- Italian Icee. Hubs and I had the most decadent Lemon Italian Icee at an old-time pizzeria in Brooklyn not long ago. Since then, they've been our trustworthy blueprint for Lemon Icee. Gene Bean's located inside the Arthur Avenue Retail Market and came up as "Ice Cream and Sorbet"- offering other sweet treats too. A big check mark for these guys because these Zeppoles are fresh and fried on the spot- but were heavy and thick- missing that true, light feel. Our Italian Icee experience was decent though. When everything was said and done, popping the trunk to enjoy our treats, was a nice ending in Little Italy at night.

The cups for the scoops didn't have lids that fit, so I ended up tying individual plastic bags around each and hoping it would work. It ended up a melted mess puddle inside each bag and not in the cups. The flavors were fine, not too much variety, but one plus was their in house affogato was excellent. Though again, the staff seemed confused how to make it and kept asking me which ice cream flavor and how many espresso shots. I'd go back for an affogato in the future, in house only.

A Little Italy tradition worth every stop!…read more Whenever we head to the Bronx for Italian cold cuts and fresh homemade ravioli, stopping at Delillo Pastry Shop is part of the tradition. We simply can't leave without it. Their cappuccinos are excellent--my personal favorite is the Nutella cappuccino--and my 6-year-old always asks for their rich hot chocolate. Before leaving, we always grab a gelato to go and pick up a box of pastries for the week. Everything we've tried has been fresh, delicious, and beautifully made, and they offer a wonderful variety of classic Italian desserts. The shop itself is small and cozy, which adds to its authentic neighborhood bakery charm. Just keep in mind that there isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking--and in Little Italy, that can definitely require a little patience! If you're visiting Arthur Avenue, Delillo Pastry Shop is a stop you shouldn't skip. It's one of those places that keeps you coming back year after year.

I was a bit disappointed that the tiramisu was very light on flavor, especially in the ladyfingers. However, the cappuccino was delicious and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The tres leches was divine... one of the best I've ever had. The servers are all very sweet and talkative! The shop has seating inside and outside, it's a charming little spot.

Plenty of space to enjoy whatever you purchase from the menu of goodie's they have to offer. I was really happy with the churro I purchased as well. I didn't understand the menu to much but the young lady who helped me just asked me what help I needed and told me all they had to offer. That was ice cream, sherbets, popsicles, mini pancakes, churros and small little treats to purchase. I brought me this cute little tajin seasoning bottle to carry around like it's hot sauce in my bag. The prices can be a little pricey, but I was very satisfied, so I'm not complaining. I say it's good enough to go visit. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

When I arrived at the store I spoke with Lili and Ariana who were aware of the situation and made my order with so much love omg! They apologize for the previous mistake made from someone else, and really took their time. Lili was so sweet and understanding. Both Ariana and Lili not only made my order with love, but I also witnessed them carefully making everyone else's orders amazingly. During this visit I ordered the tosti ceviche, mini pancakes and agua frescas . 10/10 would continue to visit.
