I would say they were scamming us, but sending us to collections over $50 of an unspecified charge without any prior warning can only be explained by horrible negligence. This was after they tried to charge us almost $500 for move out fees that we never incurred and they ended up admitting they double-charged us multiple times for errors we did not make. Plus, it is impossible to contact them over the phone to make things right. While a resident, it was also impossible to contact them for any maintenance requests. My unit as well as onorher unit was egged and maintenance had to end up cleaning windows this morning in frigit cold Temps up on a ladder and spot the ladder while light snow falling. Glad they were safe on the ladder. They braved the cold Temps to satisfy complaining tenants, one being myself. Thank you gentleman for your bravery on the ladder in such weather/Temps. Dealing with billing after move-out was excruciating - they tacked on an unexplained "post-possession rent" charge and then sent a $57.24 "balance" to collections despite technically owing us money per our final balance (which we never received). The smell of weed was consistently present inside our apartment (coming through the walls and floors), and the front office was nearly impossible to reach by phone (we often had to visit in person). The one bright spot was Ernest in maintenance, who was always very kind, helpful, and quick to fix issues. Now that it appears he has left, I cannot think of a good reason to move in at Dominion Lake Ridge. read more

I have lived at Dominion Lake Ridge for over a year now and want to give a shout-out to Earnest, the on-site maintenance manager. I've had a few requests over the year for miscellaneous requests and he is always prompt, respectful, and skilled at the work he does. Recently, after renewing my lease, DLR offered a free steam carpet cleaning service and Earnest coordinated the appointment. date and time to ensure the carpets were clean. I met my friend here to view a tour for a handicapped accessible apartment. They sent us to 2 different apartments that have stairs. And he is in a wheelchair and we clearly disclosed that he was in a wheelchair and then they would not answer their phones after. So it was a waste of his time to get a ride here and for me. My time for meeting him. Hebecause we got no answers and then the outside of a couple of what you could see is the woodish rotting in falling apart. Dominon Lake Ridge is a great place to live and I have never had any issues. I've been here since May 2018. It's very quiet, grounds are kept very nice and clean. Parking is never a problem and I've never worried about the security of the community. Management has always been very courteous and the Service Tech Maintenance Manager (Ernest) is beyond kind and helpful and problems have always been addressed in a timely manner. He is very considerate and will go out of his way to assist. I can't say enough wonderful things about Ernest. Hands down he is the Best Maintenance Manager I have ever had in an apartment community and I've lived in a LOT of apartments. And I have had some NIGHTMARE maintenance issues in the past at other properties. All said, I am very happy living here and plan to stay as long as I can! read more

Pretty nice complex for a starter apartment. Kind of on the expensive side for what you get. Tyler is kind of hard to work with. He will do whatever it takes to make sure you are not able to leave and stay locked into this expensive rental. I was trying to move to another rental and he spoke on the phone with that person and told them that I had been 10 days late a few times. It was within my grace period so he had no reason to tell them other than to just make things difficult for me. This apartment complex is such a great place to live at. Very safe, friendly neighbors, great amenities. Becky the onsite property manager is super professional, efficient, kind and friendly. Even when there was a complaint from one of the neighbors, Beck handled it professionally and respectfully. 5 Stars for the 10 Star Leasing Agent, Ms. Becki M. at Dominion Lake Ridge Apartments in VA. Apartments are condo style so each has separate, covered entrances and HVACs, hot water heaters etc. Have had several critical emergencies over the last two years and each time Becki M came to my rescue. In May 2020, with only 10 min left before she was to go home on a Friday night, she took my call. The hot water heater was leaking and near total collapse. Becki immediately took action and next day a new tank was installed. Her quick action prevented a much worse disaster as the tank was ready to leak/flood down to the neighbors below. And it was a weekend! Becki has quickly helped with other emergencies. She is super on customer service and always accessible. Becki even called to check on me the next day to make sure the hot water heater was replaced and to ensure that I was ok. Neighbors have frequently commented how available and efficient Becki is regarding any situation. I would hate to think of life here without such incredible customer service and concern. Take the negative reviews for everything they are saying! I didn't pay attention and the following months I was and still am very regretful. If you want to have a home where you feel safe then this is not the place for you. I went to the patio door to find an unknown man going over the railing! Living alone this was quite frightening. He was painting. There was NO communication of any sort of maintenance happening on this day or even within that week. Called leasing office where no one answered my 3 calls. Walked over to report this very scary incident only to get a "I didn't know" and a blaming of others....and this was the newer property manager. The only reason I received an apology was because I had to ask for one. The corporation didn't do much either. "Sorry" and move on. I even took pictures of the stranger going over the balcony and still no action taken to help with one's sense of security living here. A disgrace. Also, if you have a budget do not live here. After your 1st year they jack up your rent and pretend there are "specials", they are not specials. Garbage is laying all around the ground around the trash bins despite a "new company taking over." School-age kids are walking through the property at all times of day and are not respectful of the residents who pay to live there. After reading the positive reviews, I simply chuckle. Be aware, it is not what they make it appear to be, honestly! Keep looking, it is not worth it. The maintenance here is reactive not proactive. It is an older building and they are too cheap to make necessary changes. Things look good on the cover. Newer property manager not professional and blames others. Loved the apt till after Move out. Taylor (3rd set of management in 2 years)approved my walk through. I pd them for cleaning...but issues were their lies, I left lg furniture that had to be moved...REALLY!!! NEVER HAD ANYTHING BUT A MATRESS & IT HAD BEEN REMOVED. Broken window...by the time they cam up with this who knows. My move out was @ the hight of covid starting & I was in the hospital with shingles & had a hard time when trying to move with curfews, rain so movers cancled. Also in case you like a 2nd floor watch the space to get stuff up, poorly planned. I ONLY had 1 lg piece of furniture & ha e a picture of it in storage. Their next excuse when they couldn't get $ was a broke a month to month lease I NEVER SIGNED...so almost 3 years later they won't speak to me, so their collections is still hassling me. I heard from residents that some had to pay in full, yet another lady of color could pay half during that time. They have made $1,440 into over 6k! I would pay the $1,440...but the rest is lies. Before I write this review, I would like to say that I was threatened by the property manager who she indicated she would reach out to the company attorneys and have us evicted if we shared our experiences at Dominion Lake Ridge in a "threatening manner." I didn't understand what she meant by it. Please read on, as this is an HONEST REVIEW, and I'm willing to go under oath to tell my story, word for word. My wife and I moved into this community with hopes of a decent experience. Located off of Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge, the location was convenient and central to everything. But several months later, convenience is the last thing on my mind. From our very first few weeks living here, we immediately regretted ever signing the lease. The first surprise in our new apartment was the $470 electric bill for one month. It was just my wife and I in this apartment and we were almost never home. Thanks to the outdated windows and heating unit, the bill was outrageously high. Even the property manager agreed, so she deducted $300 from the rent to help with the cost of the bill. Unfortunately, the high bill was something we had to get accustomed to. While the future bills were not as high as the first, they were still relatively high for a couple that was hardly home, seldom cooked or watched TV. At our previous apartment, the electric bill averaged $60-70 per month, whereas in this apartment, we don't pay less than $150 per month. As the weather warmed up, we realized the AC wasn't cooling the way it was supposed to. We set the thermostat to 72 degrees, but the temperature never went below 77 degrees. We put in several maintenance requests, and every time were told there was nothing wrong with the AC, and that the high ceilings were a factor in the high temperature. Never once did they mention the actual unit or windows were outdated, which are most likely the cause of the high electric bills. Oh, and by the way, I came to see the maintenance gentleman, who I respected very much, more than I saw my wife! That should give you an idea of how many times we've had to put in maintenance requests during our five months of living here, so far. Fast forward to July, the hottest month of the year, and the temperature in the apartment shot up to 85 degrees. We reached out to maintenance, again. After investigating the AC unit, he said the fan was shot and that's why it was so hot in the apartment. He changed the fan and the temperature went down to it's usual 77 degrees (God forbid it actually went below that). Moving on from the electric bill, AC and high temperature.. you will always have company in this apartment. Company by way of spiders - everywhere! They hang out in your bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining room. We basically had to beg to get an exterminator in here, but it didn't solve the problem. I was bitten by a spider in my sleep, resulting in a swollen lump that lasted three weeks. I have photos of the bite, in addition to several photos of the spiders, but I won't post them, as I don't want to gross you out. The appliances are outdated. You have to turn on the dryer 3 times just to dry one load. When we mentioned it to management, they indicated the appliances are energy-efficient and it's not a problem that we had to turn on the dryer three times. Well, instead of going out and running errands, I'm stuck home waiting for my clothes to dry. And finally, here is the icing on the cake which resulted in this Yelp post. I paid my rent ahead of time (or so I thought), using a different checking account. The checking account had plenty of money, so you could only imagine my surprise when the payment bounced, and on top of a NSF fee, we were hit with a late fee - even though I paid the rent ahead of schedule!! After several attempts to find out what exactly went wrong, it turned out the account number was entered incorrectly by one number. My wife normally pays from our other checking account, so this was the first time I used the system and entered new payment information. We had no idea the information was entered incorrectly because on top of receiving a confirmation email, the balance on the payment portal was $0 for several days. If the account info was entered incorrectly, why not reject the payment from the beginning? Yes, this was our fault, but it was an HONEST mistake, which should have been handled differently. Unfortunately, we were treated like second class citizens who cannot pay their rent. We were belittled and yelled at by the corporate manager, and then the property manager threated to evict us for writing reviews about our experience. After that, she politely asked us to leave her office. We are two educated individuals who don't ever break the law and always pay our rent on time - the last thing we ever expected to hear was a manager threatening to kick us out of our apartment. read more

We rarely go online to let everyone know how good people are, but Dominion Lake Ridge and its staff has gone above and beyond. Service requests are closed in a timely fashion and they send out surveys to check for satisfaction, right after the issue is taken care of. So...I lived here for 2 years. Loved the area...parking situation was great...neighbors were cool...walls are pretty thin but, I'm pretty tolerant...water/sewage bill was maybe $30.00 a month. Until.....I submitted my move out notice. And damn did I open Pandora's box. First, the perk of renewing my lease after my first full year at Dominion Lake Ridge was a free carpet cleaning. Great! My carpet is already pretty clean and I don't there is really a reason for cleaning my carpet until I move out. Good idea huh? Dominion Lake Ridge didn't think so. So when I decided to use my free carpet cleaning and submitted the request to maintanence, nothing happened. Yes, you read it right. Nobody came to clean my carpet. Secondly, I noticed that my water bill was almost 4 times the usual amount. I brought this to the Rental Office attention SEVERAL TIMES. I emailed, I left voicemails, even stopped in to talk to the "manager" to no success. I did talk to one person who seemed concern when I was speaking to her on the phone and when she told me she would call me back to re-adjust my water bill, no one called me back. Third, I called to make sure that the only thing I had to do with my painted walls was to prime the walls white. The lady on the phone told me "Oh, no. You have to paint it back to the original color." Me "ok...so what's the color?" Her "Let me check with maintanence, I will call you back." Call back.... Her "The color is number blah blah blah...Sherwin Williams." Me "Um...are you sure...when I moved in, I was told I just had to prime it." Her "Oh no, you have to paint it." W.T.F. So I get the paint from Sherwin Williams....I call the office one more time to make sure.. I speak with Matt..."Oooo....maybe she misunderstood you. You just have to prime it." Silence ********* There are so many other little issues that I can go on and on about but, now my fingers hurt from typing. Word to the wise: Save yourself the trouble and rent another apartment somewhere else. read more

Everything shiny ain't gold. When I first walked in I would have given this place a 4. It's a lovely community, the floor plan is spacious and nice, the neighbors are for the most part decent, it's near a lot of things and the price is good for NOVA. It's unfortunate I can't rate this place better. I love the look of my home. But this complex and it's management has been awful. The little things: My water heater leaked within my first month here. My fireplace flue is stuck in the open position so they just put a zip tie on the chain screen to keep bugs from flying in-- mainly the wasps and mosquitoes that apparently lived here first. The draft keeps the place cold. Neighboring schools-- traffic is horrendous on Old Bridge every morning, teens smoke weed & hangout in the wooded area behind my unit. I can hear the intercom from the middle school every day. Dog crap galore! Icy & mud puddle sidewalks. I moved here in Sept and they neglected to tell me their community was under renovation. A month later they were going to be re-piping the entire complex inside and out. Yelpers, you will notice people who lived here during late 2015 down rated this place because of the construction zone we were forced to live through and were not compensated for. Ie: despite being kicked out of our apartments M-F 830am-430pm and our houses having to be packed up for November even into Thanksgiving week we still had to pay full rent. Upon checking this place out I explained I was a nurse who worked night shift and was specifically looking for a *quiet* community so that I could sleep during the day-- this would have been the time to warn me about the pipes. Fortunately I was able to switch off of night shift or else I would have had to fight for a hotel voucher because the work they did was in every room of the house all day long. On my off day I had to wake up early and hide out in the gym since I couldn't be home. People with pets were asked to remove them for those hours. Our furniture could not be touching the walls so we lived in the center of rooms out of boxes, we had over 20 holes throughout our house, dust and materials were all over our things, pipes knocked and leaked, they obviously cut thru insulation so the units were freezing and we were required to have our thermostats set above 55 to avoid pipe freezing for which they would have charged us for and you bet they didn't kick in on our electricity bills! Mine averaged $150 with just me in the home but neighbors with families complained of bills in the $400's. You wake up to men who don't speak English bringing in equipment everyday talking loud smoking outside your window. They are given a key and knock a couple times before letting themselves in. We found them sitting on our couches, their sweaty shirts on our towel rack, dirty jackets laid on our bed and used our bathrooms-- I'm a woman my toilet seat is NEVER up and I came home twice to it up. They used my personal vacuum in other units. They left my house dirty every day. They broke things and didn't tell me or apologize. Complained to management and nothing was ever done. Neighbors pipes burst over the weekend I called the emergency line twice who didn't deliver the message so my 2nd bed and bathroom and hallway were completely flooded and unusable for days-- they billed insurance and got paid-- I didn't get a break in the rent for the unlivable half of my house. UDR/ DLR management team-- check out these old reviews. The one thing people liked about this place was the open and ample parking! Well, forget that because as of April 1st (today) they have done away with open parking under the guise of "listening to the community" and started the dreaded permit parking. We now have to pay $50 for a reserved spot that only 1 car can use-- that's right if you have 2 cars you have to choose one that can use your reserved spot. Your visiting mom cannot use your spot, you cannot park your spouses car or your rental car in it or you can and will be towed. If you fail inspection and are parked in the complex' private parking lot in your $50 reserved spot you will be towed. If you get a surprise overnight guest saturday night when the office is closed and therefore cannot get them a guest pass-- guess what?? They will be towed. Lose that parking permit or damage it taking it off your window at the end of your lease? $100 replacement fee. Have a disabled visitor? There are 2 handicap parking spots by the leasing office-- and no, they too cannot park in your reserved space so if you're not in one of the buildings by the office you better have a wheelchair. But this is for the betterment of the community! It's what we asked for! No way do they have a contract with a tow truck company to make money. These apts had so much potential but now I see they do not put the tenants first, it's all about money this is a business, not a place to call home. They try to intimidate you because they are a "big company". The first few years were just ok and way overpriced. Now if I want peace I have to stay at my best friends, boyfriends, or someone's house and just show up for clothes. They are not up to county code, filthy water leaks in your bathroom, the neighbors threaten you and they do nothing about it, my bathroom flooded for weeks and they told me it was "fixed" resulting in permanent injuries and apparently it's my fault?! When I came home and low and behold it was flooded again... I literally pay over $1600 for a storage unit at this point. I have never even heard of such horrible places and I'm from the Bronx in NYC. I would be waaaaay better off there for the portion of the money. If I could give these slumlords negative stars I would. Please turn away now! You can get a townhouse in the same area cheaper, with way more piece of mind. I literally have nightmares when I stay here, which I really don't anymore.... read more

I enjoyed my 2 years living here. The apartments are very nice and spacious. Mine included great storage, a full kitchen with pantry, balcony, fireplace, huge windows, and wonderful vaulted ceilings. They even added a fan in the bedroom for me before I moved in. I had a few mishaps along the way but nothing horrible worth noting. They have a pool, spa, and little exercise room. The apartments are very pet friendly; they even have their own dog park. The maintenance team is very helpful and almost always gets the job done same day. You can conveniently pay your rent online and make service requests. The apartment is in a good location with many close options for commuting into D.C. read more

This is a great place for single people. I first moved here 2 years ago with my boyfriend. Since then, we have had 2 babies and lived in a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom here at dominion. After I had my first baby, they were doing vent work on the buildings, so they relocated me to another unit for the time being. Danny also sent over a maid one day to help me. Free of charge. Ernest and Danny both are always friendly to me outside and when they come to fix things. The apartments and the area are nice. I take walks around the buildings during the day and feel very safe. Unfortunately, my family of 4 is leaving next month because we just purchased our first home, but we can honestly say we have enjoyed our time here. read more

Someone broke into my boyfriend's car on 08/06/18, stole his checks in the glove box. He only stayed for 2 nights and this what happened. I called the management and I was told to call police and file police report. Most likely this happened midnight and realized something weird and opened glove box. Its so much crazy going on in this apartment like missing mails, someone stole package that Usps had left at there front door and some lady knocking at someone's door that she doesn't even know. Sometimes, you'll see people hanging out by the fence for hours. Again I let the management know what's going on and she just said to call police. Don't you think you need to protect the neighborhood? That's not my job to do. I wish this happened before because I wouldn't have renew a new lease contract. I just hate moving. I don't trust this neighborhood at all. I am definitely moving somewhere is safe and a better property management. read more

I've lived here for a year now and the community with the floor plans and staff is pretty great. Open unlimited parked that is always close to which ever building you're in. The maintenance staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The gym is pretty small compared to other apartment communities. 3/5 for 2 reasons: lake ridge is pretty good area but I've seen a lot kids that don't live there hanging out with random vehicles late at night. They are starting to get graffitied a bit and the dog park is usually trashed from the aforementioned kids. Second reason, my renewal offer for my lease was over $90 increase in monthly rent. I will not be renewing. However, I would still recommend this community due to the great floor plans and small community. read more

A wonderful, clean, safe place to live! I lived there with my family for almost 3 years and enjoyed every minute of it. I had to move because of work but it was wonderful. The apartment was facing the woods and it was very quiet. With the parking is never a problem and I didn't have to pay extra for it, which is great. The front office is very helpful. If you have to break to lease they explain very clear what it needs to be done. I like that a lot. If something needs repair, the work is done in the same day. If a part needs to be ordered Daniel calls you and tells you when to expect it and when they complete the work. I lived here for about 8 months and had constant issues with the smell of weed coming through the walls. I tried contacting Management through their portal about it, no response. I finally had to directly email them which I only learned after going to the office in another apartment complex. They shut down the DLR office on site so I now had to go to another office at DMR to talk to the person that used to work within the complex. After months of trying to contact them about the health issues of second hand smoke in our apartment, we had enough and moved out. I paid for the $200 express cleaning service they offer, it was a complete scam. They did not clean the carpets as the contract said they would and then charged me $400 to replace them due to "pet damage and odor". The odor should have been taken care of from the steam cleaning, and the pictures they sent me showed no damage except regularly used doorways that had flatter carpet from walking. They are now refusing to refund my $200 and will not communicate with me. I will let my bank handle the payment on a fraudulent contract since they have more clout than I do. This company will do everything they can do get money out of you. They charge fees (which are non refundable) instead of deposits, they make you pay for normal wear and tear on carpets, and etc. Do not rent here unless you're willing to just keep handing over cash even after you moved out. read more

(Of course they wouldn't, they want you to be a future resident) I lived at these apartments for about 2 years. They were convenient because at the time I was in the Army working at Ft. Belvoir. At first everything seems like these apartments would be ideal. The looks of the apartments look nice, the fixtures/plumbing seem to work just fine. Well, the moment I moved in it seemed that everything was falling apart. I had work orders for the same issues about 3 or 4 times that they claimed they fixed but didn't. I have had numerous issues with them which I will copy my complaint that I have written to the Better Business Bureau and Corporate Headquarters. Please see below: Issue #1: I am very concerned and disappointed in how management has handled an issue I have had with the construction happening with the apartments. On July 6th contractors began working on the plumbing fixes which involved them making more than 20 holes throughout the apartment that are about 18" x 18". I was briefed on the 2nd of July about what the contractors would be doing. I was informed that they were going to make about 1 or 2 holes within each room they walked me through and that they were not going to be very big. However, when I came home there was dust on the floors and on my beds. I proceeded to turn on my AC because it was 79 degrees at the time and the air was just going through the taped plastics that were covering the holes in my apartment. I have taken pictures of everything as I don't think it is right for residents to live in these conditions for a week and a half breathing in the dust and having to keep the air running 24/7 to keep it tolerable in the apartment. I also don't think this is fair paying $1600 a month with all the issues these apartments continuously have. Issue #2: I have submitted more than 7-9 work orders back in December or January time frame, on a leak from my ceiling and down the wall above my front door. They would come to inspect it and clearly state that it was a roofing issue but never fixed the roof and always painted over the mold and water on the inside of my apartment. This was a repeated issue every time and they would do the same thing over and over. Finally, about the 3rd week of June it was raining extremely hard. That Saturday morning I woke up and discovered the roof was leaking in the same location previously repaired. (7-9 times) The leak was a constant and steady stream from the roof line to the floor. I then called Tyler Weist and explained that this has still not been fixed and that it was unacceptable about living this way for 6-7 months. Tyler stated to send him an email with the pictures so he can see the damages. Then he called me back and said I needed to call an emergency work order, so I did. The gentleman came out to my apartment about an hour later and told me the same thing everyone has been saying since I initially submitted the work order, that it is a roof leak/issue and that he couldn't do anything until it is dry. It is now July 6th and not only do I have about 20 huge holes throughout my apartment I also have a huge hole that still is not fixed above my door. They were supposed to come out today (July 6th) to plaster the wall back but luckily they didn't for whatever reason because THE LEAK IS STILL THERE. I have talked to both Tyler and Daniel and they stated they will get someone out here to fix the roof. I am not trying to be a typical irate resident but this all has gone too far and I hope someone sees my frustration in this matter. I have pictures and videos of everything and I am a very dissatisfied resident. I do not feel that you all are taking my concerns seriously and I feel like I am not getting results or answers for the issues that I am having. Just to keep you informed, I am initiating a Better Business Bureau complaint as well as sending a copy of this correspondence to the local news station WJLA. The response that I finally got was from the Director I believe and again, they expressed their concerns on the issue and what do you know....My apartment was finally fixed within a couple days.....So I thought. Mind you, I am paying $1554.00 in rent and this is what I was living in. Needless to say I was moving out in a month and the LEAK was still there and I still had 2 very large holes in the master bedroom. To me it seems like they hired maintenance workers that weren't licensed. During the time I was going through the issues with all the holes in my walls I experienced not 1 but 2 times walking into my home after 4 pm (which is when they were supposed to be gone) to them sitting on my furniture laughing and joking like it was their home. I was so upset I went to the front office to explain and all they did was tell me "oh, I'll go check it out". read more

Wow! I wish I would've read these reviews first! These apartments are TERRIBLE! The customer service sucks and the property manager Diana is a total jerk and rude! I have nothing but problems since I moved here nothing works inside the home the A/C was always broken the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes and the dryer is 50/50 at best. I put in several tickets to have fixed and they never get fixed. I would NEVER recommend these apartments to anybody. UDR obviously doesn't care about customer service or people so I will never like in one of their properties again. The worst apartment experience I have ever had! I can't wait to move in going to break my lease just to get out of this dump! read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would! Do not move into this hell hole!!!!! I have never lived in such a horrible place in my life, and I'm definitely not from an upper class neighborhood. They failed to inform me of an upcoming piping "project" when I moved in. I am constantly kicked out of my apartment, sometimes for weeks at a time for this. Now I'm woken up by rude contractors banging on my door, demanding that I get out, and rearrange my apartment without notice at their convenience. I work on my computer at home and have health issues that have required me to stay at home and prevented me from driving. What am I supposed to do, and why am I paying rent to be kicked out of my apartment!? It is not my problem that the complex is not up to code! The front desk staff is completely incompetent, and management NEVER responds to concerns. Tenants are leaving this place left and right, because it is such a nightmare. My basic rights have definitely been violated and I have an attorney looking into the matter. Save yourself the trouble, and find a place where you can actually live! read more

I have a had a great experience here... never had any problems! I've been living here for about 5 years and it has always been quiet and all my neighbors are really friendly. Plenty of parking and the office team has always been responsive to all my requests. I've always have my carpets cleaned each time I've renewed....not because they have needed it, but because they offered it as a free courtesy and it probably extends the life of the carpet..... I know it always looks better after it has been cleaned! :) My water bill is always low, I think I pay about $30 a month? So, it seems pretty reasonable to me. I had an issue once with a leak and they fixed it quick and then adjusted my bill the next month, which I thought was really nice of them. I'll probably stay here unless my job moves me out of state or something. I've lived in a couple of different complexes and this has to be in the top 2! My husband and I moved into our 2br 1ba apt here just a few days before our baby girl was born. They quickly found an available unit for us to more into and had it ready for us sooner than originally scheduled. We worked with Tyler who made it a point to to above and beyond in order to ensure that we had everything we needed to move in taken care of. Ernest, the Maintenance Man, was by far the best that we have encountered amongst the 4 different apartment communities that we lived in. He made it a point to address any issues we had ASAP, and left his direct contact info to ensure that he could be reached if we ever had any more issues. He works extremely hard everyday from sun up, past sun down. We met Shelby not too much later and she is also a truly valued staff member within the community! She goes above and beyond her job description to accommodate residents in the community the way a neighbor would. She is there to walk your dog if you have an emergency, or even help you carry your packages home if your hands are full. In this community you can tell that the management cohesion is there because everyone works together to accommodate residents and that level of customer service alone is priceless and rather difficult to find in apt communities. We love that parking in the neighborhood does not come with a fee, nor are their tow trucks there to take your car if you don't have a tag in it. My only gripe is that the kitchens in the 2br apts are smaller than the 1brs, which makes no since. We also had issues paying our rent within 2 days of it being due without being penalized. A 5 day grace period with maybe a 3% fee thereafter is more reasonable, than the 2 day, 10% fee. All in all, I would recommend these apts to you and your small family if you are looking for somewhere in the Lake Ridge, VA area. read more

I take a lot of pride in where I live. I've called Dominion Lake Ridge home since 2012 and I haven't always felt that way. At first it was out of convenience but now I truly feel like this place is home. If you have not visited the property in the last year you might not feel the same. Here's the deal, the apartments are in a quiet neighborhood, affordable for NOVA, with a great management team. The manager, leasing specialist, and maintenance team are all respectable and likable people that are solutions and customer service driven. In the past year and a half I haven't had an issue they have not promptly tried to resolve. read more
