Let's start with their new location in Verdun, nice modern take to a Haitian vibe with the black art and tropical vibe definitely makes you feel like you are about to partake in the real authentic experience. I had the Cornish hen, djon rice and sweet plantain and let me say..... nothing felt closer to a home cooked meal than this. It was absolutely delicious and prepared with love! You can tell! On top of watching this family of owners all working together to make that experience top tier. Was quite the night. Service was great from the moment we were seated, I always judge based on how fast I am presented with water and a menu! That's bare minimum in my eyes, I'm ok with everything else taking time. But for a table of 7 our drinks and food all came out in a well thought out order and fast! We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu and not one thing disappointed. Huge shoutout to the bartender as well, as he clearly knows exactly what he is doing and crafts excellent drinks. Unfortunately, the table service was subpar and dragged the experience down. Our server was highly inattentive, left us waiting for long stretches, and never introduced herself. She also missed the opportunity to see if we wanted another round of drinks once dinner arrived. Most disappointing of all, they completely looked past the note on our reservation about celebrating my mother's birthday. Go for the incredible food, but the front of house service needs a lot of work.

It's quite busy with the brunch crowd, but not like dinner hours. We had delicious drinks, clearly huge servings of great food, and a nice time just hanging out. We didn't feel rushed and got to just enjoy one another's company. It is tight seating admittedly, and not super comfy, but I'll take it for the yummy food. Will be back for breakfast.

Pooh and I loved our drinks but for the price there should have been more alcohol and less ice. Marie wasn't crazy about her drink. She thought it was more like a cherry juice drink We shared the Calamari platter which was piping hot and had a delicious dipping sauce which Marie kept for her fries. For our main meal I ordered their Fried Chicken Salad. Pooh ordered Apollo à la Brasa, and Marie had Lobster Roll with fries and salad. I liked my salad but since it was "fried chicken " I thought the chicken would be hot. It was just warm so the skin wasn't crispy; more loose like sagging skin. Pooh loved his dish but it was a tad salty and greasy. Marie loved everything. Each of us had a Brazilian coffee which was delicious. After we shared an order of their Beignets. These beignets were huge and came with two dipping sauces: caramel and whipped Nutella. They were heavenly Service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was lively - great music too We would definitely return. I will try a different dish.

We had the southwest omelet which they give you an entire half of a fresh avacado as well as salsa and sour cream. It was served popping hot. Potatoes are ok but switching them out is an up charge which is annoying. We also had the florentine Benedict which was really yummy. A. Ice umami flavor to it. All in all, a nice brunch and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. Service was great.

The food itself wasn't bad. I took the spicy chicken sandwich with fries (saw after that it can come with green salads but it wasn't offered by the waiter). I was hoping for something else then a chicken burger, like another type of bun like the Cajun chicken sandwich that my friend took. The chicken wasn't bad but I felt everything was pretty dry. We ask for ketchup and mayo. Mayo is 1$ extra for a small cup. Yeah, extra for regular mayo, even the waiter was saying how cheap the place is to charge for it. My friend did like both their plate, the green salad and the Cajun chicken sandwich.
