I've wanted to see a production in this theater for a very long time, I've always been a fan of Don Bluth and his talents. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the production of Steel Magnolias yesterday the actors were amazing, a very talented cast. It's literally called the front row because you feel as if your part of the play sitting on the stage as they perform around you. It's a very intimate setting with about 80 seats ( I'm guessing). This is a great experience to enjoy with family and friends or out of town guests and it's very reasonably priced as well. I know we'll be visiting again

Wonderful Venue. Most of the patrons are repeats. If you've never been, check it out it's worth the time! Big shout out to Cheryl and Don, both of you are delightful and very personable.

Fantastic experience tonight watching " It's a wonderful life." The theater is small, but warm and inviting. They don't have a real "concession" stand but you're allowed to bring in beverages (just ask before you come).

Steel Magnolia's is everything a fun night out should be! The cast is above and beyond! Everyone is great- beyond great! The ambiance is so inviting! I feel like I am at home here! As you watch the story unfold it is like you are right there in Truvy's salon. There are belly laughs and an emotional turn of events! I love this theatre more and more every time I go!

Tonight, we went to see a matinee performance of "It's a Wonderful Life," and it was fun, intimate, and entertaining. It was our first time, and we enjoyed the good acting, the closeness to the action, and the holiday spirit. The cushioned seating was comfortable the entire time we were there, and the temperature was perfect--not cold or hot. The play lasted about two hours with a 15-minute intermission, at which time the staff passed around cold York peppermint patties as a free snack. (You can purchase additional snacks in the lobby at reasonable prices.) There are two single-room restrooms (both unisex) that you can use, but get there quick during intermission to avoid the line. That said, it's a small theater, so you won't feel mobbed at all in the place. As we left, all the actors lined up to cheerfully greet us as we filed out, which was a treat. We'll definitely consider returning for another play!

Set for 'She Loves Me', very good entertainment.

This venue is small in size, intimate and adequate. The productions I've witnessed so far, all three have been funny, charming & entertaining. I will continue to support this theater because the No matter the size of the room, the performances are grand and actors engaging. Their staff is friendly and helpful. A perk each show is a frozen chocolate covered mint they pass around, then come collect the wrappers. It's easy to park right outside the entrance and off the 101. Look on Goldstar for tickets and go enjoy. We've been pleasantly surprised by the talent and choice of shows.

This was our 3rd visit to an offering at the ultra popular Don Blush's Front Row Theatre in the last three years. It should be noted that the theatre has now moved to 8989 E. Via Linda from their old stage on E Shea. The major improvement we found with the new location was the creation of a theatre-in-the-round effect. As such, every seat of the 72 available is a perfect spot, even if one is three deep. An audience member here is no farther than 5-20 feet from the entertainment. It's definitely a win-win. Speaking of entertainment, we attended the production 'The Curious Savage' which my wife & I found to be exceptionally produced, directed, and especially well-acted, by a diverse cast for reasonably-priced general seating tickets. Aside from the outstanding work by the company in providing two and one-half hours of solid, first-rate real-time entertainment, the only needed improvement would be the quality of the seating itself. The type of seats are in need of an upgrade which we hope the budget will one day permit. Well done all...we'll see you in July!

Had I not witnessed the Davis Circus of Illusion with my own eyes, I would not be able to tell you about it. The Davis Circus of Illusion is a group of three people, headed by 'magician' Craig Davis. I put 'magician' in quotes because of course I am a grown, educated man, and do not believe in magic. I do, of course, believe in witchcraft, which is more how I would describe the events of the evening, as Davis and his associates perform unnatural feats. He is accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Davis, and a bellydancer who goes by the name Myryka. Davis Circus of Illusion is in a great location - right up in the general Scottsdale vicinity. So go eat dinner someplace close, and then come here. If you are a member of a family, bring your entire family. If you are courting a young lady, you may also bring her here. If you are alone, you will be allowed admittance, but probably looked upon with curiosity. Dress is casual, but classy. Imagine what you should be wearing while witnessing OCCULT BEHAVIOR. The event takes place at a joint called Cattle Track, which has a building that serves as kind of a gallery/stage. I do not know if there are any cattle there so please stop asking. Before the show, Davis was talking with some of the early arrivals, his presence tempting them to inquire about the dark arts. I did not listen in on their conversation but I can only imagine he was describing to them the cursed acts he had to commit to obtain his power. As show time drew near, he demonstrated his abilities by reading a man's mind. Upon seeing this I quickly focused my thoughts, locking away the secrets within my mind that Davis might have otherwise been able to gain access to. I suggest you take this precaution ahead of time. The show began with Mrs. Davis singing a few songs. She's got a pretty good set of pipes on her, but I was there for the occult! Davis retook the stage, and almost immediately summoned his bellydancer from some astral plane, and then a bird, which proceeded to stare me down for half the show with his beady black eyes. The obvious conclusion is that the bird was a mind reader as well. After having summoned his minions, Davis now conjured up dark magics for a freakin' hour and a half. Breaking things, making them whole again, reading more people's minds, putting a lady in a box and then trying to crush her with drawers - all kinds of madness. He had his assistant get in a box, and then he collapsed the box and the woman was STILL ALIVE INSIDE even though there was only room for like, her arms and head. Everything else was just smashed. Then, what does he do? Freakin' heals her somehow and makes a new body for her and she's still alive. My wife was all, "It's just larger than it looks - she probably has extra room in there" but I know what I saw. Hah! "Mirrors." People always use mirrors to explain witchcraft, when the truth is far more deadly. Not only is Davis a practitioner of witchcraft, but he also juggles, which I find to be an odd combination. He is apparently one of only a few people in the world who can juggle 7 things at once. Like, actually have all 7 of the things in the air at the same time. I saw him do it, and if you told me that no other human being on earth could juggle 7 things at once, I'd believe you. It was pretty nuts. Anyway, the show was like, 2 hours, and thank god he didn't try to use any of his witchcraft on me, and that bird stayed away from me or I would have gone nuts. Should you go see the Davis Circus of Illusion? Only if you are stout of mind and heart, and are not fearful of mind-bending illusions and inexplicable acts of otherworldly magic. If you're ok with that, then yeah you should probably go.

Perhaps management has talked to them about this. We were so much happier to give a gratuity under these circumstances. But if I were in charge I'd just raise the price and say no tipping expected. How cool would that be for a change? Beverages are lemonad, Pepsi, Pepsi zero, ice tea (I think) and water. They come one more time to refill before desert. And then offer coffee after desert. I don't think arriving early got us a better section, because we were still at probably the worst seats in the house. But that's relatively speaking because I don't think there's any really bad seats. If you tell them why you came the King and Queen will announce your name and the special occasion. Even if it's just "for a fun night out" that counts! They probably read everyone's name in the auditorium if seemed. Before the show you can walk around and shop. Full armor purchase will set you back $4,000-$6,000. I know you want to take that home. They also got light up swords etc. lots of folks buying stuff. We got a shirt The food was surprisingly decent. First course is garlic bread and tomato bisque soup. Second course is roast chicken. Third course is corn on cob and potatoes. And fourth course is desert (partially frozen mini eclair). My only complaint is that there were a few Karens in the crowd. Usually renaissance and medieval events attract only chill folks. But well we had a few women in the crowd who just seemed hell bent to make sure everyone had as miserable a time as they were having. They thought my kid was cheering too loudly and wanted her to tone it down a notch or two, as it was hurting their precious ears. These are folks across the stairs and a row down from us. Seriously? Just kinda ruined the night for my kid to be honest.

The show was top-notch on every level: scenery, lighting, costumes, choreography, acting, singing, and the live orchestra in the pit. Everyone on stage was bursting with talent that is rarely seen anymore. Specifically, the rhythmic sounds of tap dancing, with the whole troop loudly stomping their heel and toe metal plates with stunning speed in perfect unison. This production absolutely nailed the emotional real-life message. Presented on stage was something everyone can relate to: laughing, crying, dreaming, and touching the human soul in its endeavor to never let dejection permanently impede our hopes for unrealized happiness. In our troubled times, this classic musical offers a dazzling and superb stimulus to recommit ourselves to maintaining happiness as an ongoing goal at every stage in life. The words from one of the iconic show songs state it better than I can: "Come on along and listen to, the lullaby of Broadway. The hip hooray and bally-hoo, the lullaby of Broadway!" On a final note, meals are often described as a "rubber chicken dinner," where food is merely an accompaniment to the main event. This is not the case at the Arizona Broadway (dinner) Theatre. The food easily competes with any remarkable restaurant!

It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.
