Food is great and the staff is friendly. Nice having a good Mexican restaurant close by.

Don Chuy Taqueria is a solid spot for tacos and margaritas. The menu is ridiculously massive and includes over 150 taco combination options, but I like to keep it simple and ordered the classic street style tacos and a horchata and my husband ordered the Menudo soup and the house margarita. I am embarrassed to say that my boys haven't quite embraced Mexican food. Both love chips and salsa or guacamole and queso and my youngest will eat a deconstructed taco, but when it comes to loaded nachos or tacos they tend to shy away from even the simplest quesadilla. The kid's menu offered the typical kid friendly dishes like chicken tenders, pizza and hot dogs. I'm not sure what the white sauce was that accompanied our chips and salsa, but it tasted extremely acidic and possibly rancid so we immediately pushed the mystery sauce to the side. We ordered queso and guacamole to go with our chips and salsa and both were fantastic. The queso had a slightly spicy jalapeño kick and the guacamole was super fresh. The salsa was so good that my husband asked to purchase a container to bring to our hotel. My carnitas were loaded with salty braised pork, diced raw onions, fresh cilantro and accompanied with a lime wedge. These tacos were so simple, yet so delicious and horchata was perfectly spiced with cinnamon. My husband's soup looked like it had been simmering all day and my husband said it was nice and spicy. I stole a sip of his margarita and it was very tart and refreshing. As expected, the kids meals looked gross, but my boys were content and had already stuffed themselves with chips and salsa, guacamole and queso. The atmosphere is extremely casual and the service was very prompt and friendly. I'm so glad we found this restaurant on our drive to Bethany Beach!

Good Mexican food. Very attentive service. Enjoyed the music as you approach the front door. Chips, salsa, and a white sauce were brought to the table. I was a little disappointed in the thickness of the salsa and the white sauce. We personally prefer queso sauce this was not queso. We ordered lunch. My husband ordered chorizo eggs that came with rice and beans and I ordered a chimichanga with queso and rice and beans. I they were both delicious.!!!! It was between 11 and three, and they were running a special so the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Loved the freshness of everything in the tacos pastor.

Loved. I wondered what it would look like as the former Jimmy's Grille. I love the bright colors, I love the constant play of ranchera, banda, nortena music playing constantly. I love the bright colors within, the friendliness, the menu, here's the thing... ... the menu includes dishes that appeal to an American diet that are really Tex Mex while ALSO containing the real deal food that only individuals who have experienced their favorite corner taqueria also have experienced. This is the both of both worlds, and I love the fact that Don Chuy will stick to what is authentic, as well as to what is appealing to the palette for many. The inside decor was simple but attractive, clean beyond belief, impeccable friendliness, and a welcome site to Bridgeville. Horchata, I LOVE this. I was rewarded with the fresh taste of Horchata, and it was GREAT! Love this beginning, loved I could take with me anything I wanted, and loved the fact that authenticity can live beside fusion food. The torta was as fat as I can remember it being in Observatorio, the tacos pastor perfect to the taste of any taqueria, and loved the sauces, tortilla chips and the fullness it provided of what it means to absorb a meal. I know many people are used to ordering and then calculating the time of the delivery. Don't. Here, you have the chance to take in everything Don Chuy tries to represent, forgetting about time, speed, etc and focusing on the values of family, socializing, and forgetting schedules and agendas behind you. (Harder than you think). Welcome Don Chuy!

I lived in Arizona for a time when I was in the Army, so I have been to authentic Mexican roadside restaurants down by the border. This is one of the nearest to authentic as I have been on the East Coast. The location of Don Chuy is convenient if you are from the area then you should know it's in the Old Jimmy's Grill restaurant on Route 13 in Bridgeville which provides plenty of parking and a lot of room inside for large parties. Don Chuy's is a nice place, with a bright, spacious interior, simple but attractive, and with reasonable prices. The tasty flavors of Mexican cuisine attracted numerous customers. The place was quite busy when we were there and despite that our waiter was fantastic, he was very attentive, (not over-attentive) but made sure we had everything we needed, and our drinks remained full! The terrific service is something these restaurateurs care about. The food had generous portions and tasty dishes; the menu includes more Tex-Mex dishes that appeal to more of an American pallet while still giving you that authentic Mexican feel. The Margaritas are quite generous but a bit heavy on the mix for my liking. The fajitas were well prepared and the Torta was fabulous! If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat with the family, with reasonable prices and portion sizes then this is the place for you! You won't be disappointed!

I'll give this a low 4 star. This is a fairly new Hispanic restaurant. We went on a Sunday around 2pm and was seated immediately. There were about 10 people in the restaurant. This place is very large and could seat a lot of people. They do have a bar section also. The place is clean . I like going into authentic restaurants and see Hispanic or Asians eating there. We will go back but there are some very good places in Seaford and Salisbury so this one will need to step up their game some. It's not awful just needs some improvement. The server was not overly friendly but knew her job. Give them a try and see if you like it. We might see you there.
