This place came highly recommended by a few patrons in the area as we were seeking something different than the chicken strips and fries that was around. Now don't get distracted by the side streets just keep Driving you will come upon the location. Sadly there wasn't any outside seating available but we still stayed. The margaritas (Pineapple ) was by far one of the best I've had in a long time. The service was excellent, and pretty quick. I ate there 12/2/24 Overpowered with air freshener inside Wait staff didn't speak much English just to help with ordering. What is the jalapeños stuffed with? She couldn't answer. They were not good!! Ordered ground beef tacos with the all the toppings. Tacos came out without any toppings brought it to the waiters attention, and she walked away with a smirk on her face. took them forever to bring the guacamole out that we ordered when we sat down. The guacamole was good!!!!!! I ordered the Carne Asada. The steak was so thin. I should be able to cut it with the side of my fork, but it was so overcooked. I needed a serrated knife to cut through it. On the way out we noticed an overwhelming stench of sewer on the side of the building. Didn't notice it walking in. Hello everyone! So I was craving some enchiladas and stumbled upon this place before heading to downtown Cambridge, MD. I was greeted and seated immediately. The environment of the restaurant is relaxed, and reminds you of Mexico. I can attest after having been there myself. Salsa and chips were immediately brought to the table and this is always a plus in my opinion! Cheese sauce (queso blanco) was also included and it was absolutely delicious! The salsa and chips were bountiful, and helped curb my appetite. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and they were delicious and authentic! The texture was perfect, and they had a lot of flavor! To be fairly honest, the enchiladas melted in my mouth with each and every bite! I doused some hot sauce over them and it gave them a nice spice kick! The service was good, but I would recommend to the young waiter I had to pick up the dishes when they have been finished with . After I finished the tortilla chips, the container and sauce dishes were left on the table throughout my entire meal. It is minor, but also key. Please check this place out. When you walk in, it looks inviting. Friendly faces, smiles and laughter of the people sitting there eating. Well those people who were happy didn't order a margarita and steak fajitas because if they did, they would have not been so joyful! The margarita is huge but it only had about 2oz of tequila the rest was ice and a mixer. Ok, I get it, it's happy hour, the drinks are not going to be as strong as ordering something else but I should feel the affects from one margarita, especially since I'm a light-weight. The steak, oh boy -- here we go, this is what had me almost walk out. The steak was one of two things, it was either bad or it was an extremely cheap cut of liver. I'm going with the first one, it was bad -- I didn't get sick but one bite and that was enough for me to know I shouldn't be eating it. The other folks with me had steak as well and same thing, one bite and done. Even the guy the next table over said it was horrible. I wanted to love this place because it's in a quaint little town, with not an abundance of places to eat. We were staying at the Grand Hyatt at the Chesapeake for the weekend and found this restaurant for lunch. It seems like it is family owned and were very friendly. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see a large section in the menu specific to vegetarian options. The chips and salsa were yummy. Here is what we ordered: - Guacamole- very flavorful and well made. - Platter with one bean burrito and two chalupas- The bean burrito just has beans and usually comes with a cheesy sauce. I asked them to replace the cheese with house made burrito sauce. It was delicious. I loved the bean burrito. However, the chalupa was mediocre. It was just a fried tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and sour cream. It didn't have much of a flavor and I just left it. I would recommend just getting the bean burrito. Overall, it's a decent Mexican restaurant with tons of options. The food is average but I'll still recommend trying it out. read more

When I was researching restaurants to try out on my vacation to Cambridge, I bookmarked this one first as it looked awesome! I had a hard time placing my pickup order on the phone because the website online ordering site had different prices than the restaurant's menu (by about $1 per dish) so that's something to be aware of. Based on other rave reviews, I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and left with a little sticker shock as I paid $19 for that dish plus an horchata. But when I came home and saw the food, I was shocked--the portions were enormous!! The enchiladas easily lasted me 2 meals and was very filling, so it was a good value. The restaurant doesn't have it on their website, but they do have a lunch menu with some good dishes for the value. When I go back I look forward to trying those out. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant itself looked really festive and colorful. When COVID is more under control, I look forward to dining in person! read more

W have been here on multiple times and the service has been better every other time but unfortunately so has the food. There was plenty of seating but it took about 10/15 minutes for someone to seat us in a booth directly next to the bathroom. They were quick to bring chips and salsa but it was another 10 minutes to take our order. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and the main courses. The drinks came put quickly and then we waited when the food came out it was the appetizer (wrong) and the sided for our entrees. We waited about another 7-10 minutes for the1st part of the entree and then the 2nd part was another 5 minutes. The food which is normally good was at best average. Then when it was time to leave the waiter never returned so we had to go up to the counter to pay. If we wanted to take anything home, which we didn't, it was not an option. We will go back, yes. Being from Mexico City and knowing authentic Mexican food I'm always skeptical about trying Mexican food specially being so far from the border, but I must say that the food was really good. My wife had the carne asada, it had good flavor and texture. I had the chimichanga with beef it was also good they both came with rice and beans and they where both good as well. The service was also really good Luis was the waiters name and it was his first day so he didn't quite know the menu but that's ok for being the first day! We also met Don Chuy the owner he was really attentive, he stayed and talked with us for awhile. I really hope this restaurant does well specially that the food and service was outstanding! My wife and I are staying at the Hyatt down the street from D.C. for her bday. We didn't want late night hotel food and opted for Mexican. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I read some of the reviews and was a bit skeptical initially. Here's what we ordered: 3 tacos, carne asada, Al pastor and Lengua. All amazing and full of meat. The tortillas tasted homemade. Only thing I wish they did was do a double tortilla instead of one. It came with grilled onions on the side and lime. So good!! I might go back before we check out and order some for the drive back. My wife had the chicken chimichanga. Also excellent. We also got horchata, fanta and guacamole with chips. This place reminds me of small, authentic Mexican restaurants you would find in L.A.. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Thought it was an authentic oasis nearby. Man, was I disappointed. I could have gotten better food at the kitschy place on the highway for a better price. I had tacos--at a Mexican taqueria--and they were nowhere near as good as the ones I make at home. My husband had dry chicken fajitas and my son had a steak quesadilla that was almost inedible...steak in a gross sauce with barely any cheese.
