    Chicken enchiladas

5 star service and very nice and clean restaurant. I did think the food was a bit on the pricey side and a little salty for my liking. I had the 2 enchiladas. The street tacos did look amazing so I will give those a try next time I am in the area!

This place is a hidden gem!! Everything is super fresh and the sauces are phenomenal. Definitely recommend ordering the guacamole with chips as an appetizer. Service was spot on and the prices are very reasonable. Will be back!!

Very busy on a Friday evening, but we still were seated right away. Lots of families there so it was very loud with kids running around. If you want an intimate atmosphere this isn't it. We ordered a wet burrito and enchiladas, both were very good. Everything was clean and orderly. Or server was very nice. House margarita was strong, that was appreciated after a long work week. Overall a great place to go, I'd like to try it on a weeknight to see if it's a bit quieter.

Extra chips cost if you want them, salsa wasn't that great. Enchilada filling doesn't come inside of the tortilla and quesadilla is basic and comes with no sides. Sides of sour cream are not even worth asking for, we're warm and the size of a grape... One and done for my group

Nice chunky guacamole with thick rustic chips that stand up to anything!

Don Juan's is a little unassuming from the outside, possibly because it's in a strip mall! We've learned to never underestimate the power of a restaurant by it's location! The first thing you notice is the decor, it's beautiful! Nice earth tone colors with big-bottomed comfy chairs and rustic wood tables make it super comfortable to relax and enjoy the meal. A great thing we noticed right away was the table for two is plenty big enough, they're usually too small! The service was very friendly and attentive, we never wanted for anything! We each had the Don Juan Margarita and highly recommend trying that one, it was unique and delicious, not too sweet with wonderful new flavor twist of cucumber! We also both ordered the street tacos as we weren't super hungry. Oh gosh, let me tell you, those were some of the absolute best street tacos we've ever had! I had the carnitas and hubby had the carne asada. They were full of flavor, and meat, and the tortillas were steamed nice and soft. We added some guacamole for our chips and salsa and although chunkier than we typically enjoy, it was very good with fresh avocado and just the right amount of flavor. The chips aren't your typical restaurant or store bought chips, they're thick and hearty and super crunchy so they stand up to the fire roasted salsa and thick chunky guacamole, we loved them! Our host at Reed's Sweet Wine in Tacoma recommended Don Juan's and boy are we glad she did! We will now highly recommend Don Juan's as well!

Nice restaurant close to the main road. Came in at 5:30 on a Monday and were the only patrons. Immediately seated, served chips and very good salsa, and water. Few seconds later I ordered a beer and our meals. I'm getting chicken nachos and my wife got the chicken mole'. The orders came out super fast. My wife's first comment on her food was "this sauce did not come out of a jar". The sauce was sweet and a little spicy. However she also said the flavor was not what she was expecting and wouldn't order it again. My nachos however were fantastic. The plate was loaded with crunchy chips, lots of chicken and beans. For added freshness the tomatoes, onions, cilantro and creama was included. I also asked for some Japaleno for added spice. Huge plate, I could only eat half. Wife said she'd try again with an order more mainstream and I'd definitely return.

No service. Waited as others were being helped that came in after us. So we paid for the chips we ate and left.

We also got the pistachio custard cheesecake to take home. Very good, but rich! The person who took our order was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Yes it isn't fancy, you serve yourself, it has a warehouse feel, and has picnic tables, but it has never pretended to be anything different. I would suggest they get a water station. Unfortunately, if you want a water you have to buy it and it is a single use plastic bottle. Would definitely come back to other dishes.

Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. ### So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

We got there around 6:30 PM on Thursday evening and the wait was about 20 minutes for families, but we sat at the bar at a high top and got right in. We found service to be friendly and prompt. The gentleman who was taking care of us was attentive without being pushy. We started with the fried pickles which came out with ranch and aïoli for dipping. It was a huge portion. Tasty indeed. While I know pickles are inherently salty, I did find these to be exceptionally salty, leaving me to wonder if the batter was also salted, which definitely would not be necessary. Just know that if you are planning on ordering them. We also both got the Smoked Steak Salad. The salad was fresh and nicely dressed. Both of them came with a very generous serving of meat. The meat was just OK. They do not ask you how you would like your steak cooked, so once I got it, that made sense. I'm guessing they don't just smoke it for a little bit and finish the cooking it another way because it is well done with some rough bits - perhaps leftovers from something else. Honestly, I would prefer to have a nice juicy steak on top of a salad, and while I enjoyed this enough, I probably would not get it again for this reason. We both got a beer flight too, and found all four choices to be really good! I will definitely come back here when I'm tired of options at Great Wolf. I'd be interested in trying their sandwiches, as I saw a couple people with French Dips that looked really good.

We were excited, greeted nicely and were sat down pretty quickly. Then it took a turn. Our waiter took alittle while to get to us. Once he did, he was basically rushing to get our order. 20 mins later came back with our water and my husbands Bourbon Flight. This is me by the way looking at my photo album to track the time. 25 mins later our appetizer came and they were delish. We had ordered Garlic Parmesan Wings and Giant Pretzel. We waited over an hour and our waiter finally comes back to tell us that due to a Big Table outside our food is running behind, we said that's fine. 30 mins later, he comes back and tells us he mistakenly did not put our orders in and he takes full accountability but the fact that he only placed 1/2 of order and realized it an hour and a half later and waited 30 mins passed to tell us was beyond acceptable. We had a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old babies with us, we got there at 5:15pm and left at 8pm with no Main Course, we decided to leave and they offered to give us our main dishes for free and that had to pay for our apps and drinks. At that point, we weren't even hungry anymore- we were more upset than hungry. Word of Advise- don't dismiss a table of 5 for a table of 20. That party of 20 already includes 16%-18% Gratuity on their Tab, whereas a table of 5 could be giving you 20%-25% Gratuity for yourself only & not to have to share with other servers esp. if you are given cash. That table of 5 could sit there for hours just sitting and chatting and won't turn the tables over to new guest, whereas a table of 5 can eat, enjoy their meal, give good tip and leave within an hour and a half. And you'll have new table instantly, more money for you. To the kitchen staff, don't walk past your guests when they're asking you a question and as if they didn't exist. I'd hate to think it's Race Discrimination because we were the only Asians there but that's definitely how it felt.
