They do not accept medi-cal or HMOs. My crown fell off and I was so scared!! I called in at 7:15 am and luckily the receptionist picked up the phone! She was very informative on all the options I had. She booked me in really quick and I was able to go in and out within 30 minutes. They also have an option where you can text them after your call. Thanks Donna and admin team for being so great! Don was really nice and very informative on what was happening. He explained everything really well to me and gave me a few recommendations. Because I was a new patient, I had to pay the full amount because I was not a patient of record. I wish they covered my insurance but the customer service here was amazing! read more

Husband had a crown come loose and tried to see the dentist at Western Dental that he had been seeing. They made an appointment for him but then the next afternoon it was canceled and rescheduled for 9 days later. It was a tooth in front so he didn't want to go that long with an embarrassing hillbilly smile. We called Dr. Nguyen's office and they were able to schedule an appointment for xrays the next morning and replaced the post and provided a temporary crown the day after that! What a relief! Let me say that Dr. Nguyen is a good dentist. As time has passed, his practice has become focused on one thing: money. The prices are unbelievable, and whatever is not covered by insurance is charged to the client in full. There is no break for anything, and payment is due immediately. If you miss an appointment, you are charged a fee of a hundred dollars. If you cannot pay a balance due on your account, you will be denied service. I have worked with four dentists in my life. Never have I been treated as though the only thing that mattered about me was the income I generated. After a number of troubling incidents (they won't tell you how much you owe till you get there, and then if you can't pay they send you home and harass you for the money) I started to feel like seeing the dentist had become like pleading my case to a mob boss. As long as I paid the extortionate fees, I would be fine. Otherwise, fugeddaboutit. So I left. I found new dental practice, in which the dentist works alone and sees one client at a time (not seven like Dr. Nguyen.) He chatted with me today and told me his practice is (gasp) client-centered. I have trust issues now, but I am guardedly optimistic. read more

As a long time resident of Morgan Hill I have been a patient at Dr Nguyen's current practice since the time it belonged to Dr Hatakeyama and he was the 'new kid'. When Dr Hatakeyama retired and Dr Nguyen took over I saw no reason to change as every interaction I had ever had with Dr Nguyen left me feeling that I was in very capable hands. He is personable, professional and attentive. He appears well informed as to current dental practices, explains the pros and cons of treatments, and lets the patient decide which course to take. If he feels you would be better served by an endodontist, he tells you so and gives you the option to get referred out. Add to that that his staff is professional, thorough, and friendly and what you have is a well run, dependable and reliable dental practice. They seem to take a real interest in our lives as well as in our dental health.
