Overall I think it was an okay dinner. The chips were brought out promptly, and everyone at our table had an individual salsa bowl to dip their chips in, which was a unique and pleasant addition. The portions were impressive and prices low, but I think the quality reflects this. The food was disappointing in flavor and quality of ingredients. The drinks were quite large, but not the tastiest. The service was very respectful and our server was fantastic. The ambiance was nice with nice decorations and lighting without a huge influx of customers, so it was quiet and we were able to enjoy conversation at dinner. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place for Mexican food if that's your craving. read more

Had a great meal today with the family. It was our first time and it's nice having some "authentic" Mexican in the area. A flavor central pa has been lacking for quite some time. Our service was good and everyone was very friendly. Food was tasty. We tried everything from quesadillas, rice, beans, tacos, etc. wish the food was a tad warmer when it came out but it wasn't cold. Bathrooms were clean and the space inside looked pleasant. As a local I had bonanza flashbacks when we used the bathroom but it was good and clean. Overall a great lunch and would return when in the mood for Mexican. read more

Sat down at an empty bar for a good while and never was greeted. Had several staff walk past us & ignored us. One woman even came behind the bar to make a drink & she wouldn't even look up & acknowledge us. We understand if staff are busy, but at least welcome us in and give us some menus to look at. The restaurant can handle small or large groups--it it tends to get very busy so make a reservation. The whole ambiance of the place is warm and fun. The server was polite and did a nice job of taking care of us. The restaurant was mostly empty and there was milk all over the floor next to our table and was never cleaned up while we ate. No sangria so we ordered Margaritas... what should have been the good ones were watery. Not just weak, but like water had been added. One if my favorite treats when I have Mexican is Guacamole... another disappointment. There was no creaminess and it did not have much flavor. Could hardly taste the avocado at all. I got the Patron Burrito and it was okay, but very salty and there were like two tiny pieces of pineapple ... the right amount of pineapple might have helped to cut the saltiness. Boy, did I ever have a great meal at this place! The absolute best Chile Relleno I've ever tasted. It was memorable. As I entered the restaurant I saw a sign stating "please be patient, nobody wants to work". It wasn't the first one of those signs I've seen during my travels cross country. I felt embarrassed for the owners having to post such a sign. But in the immortal words of Howard Cosell, they're "telling it like it is". I sat at the bar, and was served a tall Dos XX and bowl of chips and salsa. It paired nicely. My Chile Relleno plate arrived soon after, hot and incredibly delicious. Like I mentioned earlier, the best Chile Relleno I've ever tasted. Can you believe it? In Pennsylvania! Sorry Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. My first time at Don Patron's. In ordered the Special Yolandas. Service was good. When they brought out our meals (which was pretty fast) they brought the wrong order, so I had to wait while the rest of the party ate they meal. When I finally received my order it was nice and hot. Rice was fresh and not overcooked. The enchiladas were very good, the chicken was tender and it had the right amount of sauce. They did forget to bring my guacamole but I was to hungry to complain. Overall the meal was delicious and would recommend people to try it. I also ordered churros to take home, I like that they have a strawberry filling that is not overpowering the churro. At the restaurant they serve it with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. When I did the to go it was just the four churros. I would definitely go back, because I would like to try the fried ice cream next. read more

Great food and service. Took the family. No meal was bad or just Ok. I had the chimichanga with shrimp, beef and I think chicken. Was easily my top 3 favorite chimichanga (I love them so when I go to a new restaurant I try those first). Will try the fajitas next time. We fe had the fish with shrimp. The rice and beans we had were very good. One of the few times we all cleaned our plates, even the kids. I didn't have an adult beverage but they sold them as well. Some folks there looked hammered. So they seemed to enjoy the food as well. The ambience was ok. Customers service was very friendly and they were very likable. There is an outdoor eating area that we wanted but was full. Having been all over Mexico, I'm a bit of an Aficionado when it comes to Mexican Cuisine, it is one of my favorite. A few people told me to check out this place as it was the best around. I will concur with that. It is the best I've had a Williamsport, but I was a little disappointed I love queso fundido, so I was super excited to see they have it here. When I got the dish it seemed as if they just melted two pieces of cheese over top of meat. The meat reminded me more of chili then chorizo. I've tasted the same on a hot dog from Turkey Hill. The shrimp cocktail was presented very well just like a true Mexican shrimp cocktail, however the flavors weren't up to par. I felt it was a ketchup heavy flavor. In Mexico all the cocktail flavors meld together into this delicious flavor. The margaritas were absolutely atrocious. I cannot believe a Mexican restaurant uses sour mix to make their margarita. It's the staple of Mexican food and should be the best drink on the menu. The decor is phenomenal, very typical of Mexican style Cantinas. Very impressed with the decor. I know covid-19 is placing a lot of challenges on restaurants and I would absolutely try this place again. read more

For a first time visit here it was very good experience. I had the Fajita combo with steak and chicken. Have to say this was a very good dish. Came out hot and just as ordered. Our waitress was very good and she actually had someone come to make sure that what we ordered was correct before it was made. We got sat very quickly, brought chips and salsa and no one came back to us for almost half an hour. We finally got waters brought out to us. We ordered our food and asked for more chips and salsa. After a very long wait (almost two hours) When we asked when our food would be out, they just said "okay". Someone from our table went to ask when our food would be done after almost two hours and the host walked half way to the kitchen and turned back around and then proceeded to tell him "two seconds" .... About 30 minutes later... we received our food, which the plate was burning hot but the food was cold. Our waiter tacho didn't get our meals right. I asked for a side of queso when I ordered my meal, then I asked Tacho multiple times for queso and I finally received it when we were ready to leave. We waited forever for our check. Then we went up to pay for our meals and that took about 15 minutes to even get to the cash register because the line was so long and the long haired cashier was on the phone instead of checking guest out. While the hostess stood there smiling at us. We finally pay, he didn't even show us the receipt I asked him to see it and he flashed it quickly at me and then proceeded to answer another phone call. There were people behind us walking out without even paying because it was taking so long. We were there over three hours and didn't even finish our food. Overall a horrible experience and would not recommend. read more
