    Top sirloin steak

I honestly didn't even end up getting anything so I can't say how the meat tasted, but when I walked in and saw that there was multiple meats that were brown I just left... I saw a TikTok about this place so I thought I would try it out but after seeing the bad quality of meat that they had presented i decided to pass on this carnicería and went to a different location.

I love this place, I go often... the staff is friendly and it's always clean, organized, and quick! They also have a good marinade for their meats and the ceviche is tasty.

We have tried many different butchers over the years, and even some high end mail order companies, but this place is definitely the BEST. We tried them for the first time this weekend, by getting USDA Prime Filet Mignon. The butcher took the time to cut the meat exactly to the thickness we were looking for. The steaks were trimmed up perfectly and presented nicely in a tray. We cooked them on the barbecue and they turned out amazing. They were the best filets we have ever cooked at home. They were so tender, you could almost cut them with a fork. The flavor was rich, and didn't have any gamey taste at all. Everyone at the table said these steaks were absolutely delicious. If you are serious about steak, you need to give them a try. Their prices are much better than any mail order steaks, are very reasonable and super fresh. If I could rate them higher I would. We are looking forward to trying their USDA Prime Ribeyes next. Thank you for making our dinner with the family enjoyable.

Delicious! Very impressed! This was not my go to Carniceria, but it might be from now on. I bought chicken, diesmillo, both were prepared and both were tender, flavorful, and the price was very reasonable. I also picked up an habanero salsa, and tasted homemade. The staff was very friendly, and the shop was clean and organized. I was in and out in minutes. I will be back for sure to try some of their other meats.

    Fatty Carne Asada Flank Steak

I saw this place as I was driving by on the 210 and decided to give it a try. I stepped in and purchased 2 pounds of Asada prepared for dinner and unfortunately was not paying attention as the clerk weighed and wrapped it. When I got home and unwrapped the package to begin dinner, I could not believe the amount of fat on the meat. It was an excessive amount of fat. Check out the photos and make your own decision. The clerk was friendly and the interior was clean which is to be expected from a new place. Overall I would definitely not return. While the meat had a decent taste, the amount of time I wasted, not to mention the added cost was just not worth the trip. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a butcher shop/carniceria.

    Ranchera

First time trying them out.. and I must say the service was great The place is very clean everything was well organized presentable and smelled great inside. Everything was fresh and clean we got fresh guacamole and Mexican cokes with few pounds of ranchera preparada. Price was equal to other competitors and was in and out... as for the ranchera man it was well marinated and was very delicious most definitely coming back.. close to home and totally worth trying if you haven't been here i recommend it.

Soooo much fat on the meat. Chicharrones were so old and so hard. And the queso fresco tasted like rubber. Will not be coming back.

I had a wonderful phone conversation with the owner Ben who personally took my order. We agreed upon a date and time two weeks out since I was going to be out of town for the 4th of July week. They called while I was out of town to confirm the date and time (between 10-11 am) which was great! When I arrived to the store with my son around 11:15 because of the heavy traffic on 91W I went to the counter and was told by a young female that I needed to go to the pay counter. She was curt and not helpful. There was only three people ahead of me so no problem. But the elder gentleman in front of me, who was being helped by the young man who would eventually help me, took an exceptionally long time with his order. I'm just here to pay and pick up. No problem, I'll be patient and keep waiting. Two other costumers are helped by the female counter person and finally the elder customer leaves with his order and I'm next. The young male counter person then waits for me to initiate the conversation and doesn't greet me with a smile or hello or how can I help. I brush it off. I tell him I'm here to pick up my order, a whole pig and give him my last name. He fumbles around a few seconds and then asks how to spell my name and eventually finds my ticket order and asks what time. The time is written at the top of the ticket he failed to notice. I pay for the order. He mutters someone will be out with my order and disappears. No thank you, no attentiveness like he gave the older gentleman in front of me. Again, I've been in my car with my son for over two hours from San Diego in traffic and this fella couldn't give me five minutes of courtesy. I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting while others eventually come into the store and are being helped and leaving. The older female worker at the pay counter is still there helping customers while the younger female at the deli counter is now apparently on a break and making herself lunch. She stops momentarily when a customer comes in for deli service. I'm still waiting by the counter to make sure I'm at least acknowledged but I don't see the young male counter worker who apparently left for lunch since it's now noon. The older female worker can probably see on my face that I'm not happy and says to me he's working on my order. He? Who's he? I am just here to pay and pick order between 10-11. How much time and trouble could it be to put this order together which was made two weeks prior? A different gentlemen finally arrives with three boxes and two large paper bags that comprise my order. On the way out the older female worker says goodbye and was very courteous. At this point I'm pretty upset because this is not a large haul and this order could've easily been second and not 45 minutes! I arrive home after the two hour drive back home to SD and looking forward to the meat, especially the sausages and putting it into the freezer which I cleared out in preparation for the meat. My older son is home to help. As we are sorting and placing the meat I notice that there are no sausages. It's just sausage meat but no links. I guess it's my fault for assuming and not specifying sausage links on at peat some of the order. It was a huge letdown. I had array went out to purchase rolls and buns for a bbq this weekend and to have friends and family over. Oh well. You live and you learn. At least the bacon was great.

First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.
