Update 12/2/22 Amica…read morecame through and took care of the rental. I also got a genuine apology for the mistake (thus the increased number of stars). I still need to process the events that took place, but I'm willing to give Amica another chance based on this customer service experience. While mistakes are not ideal and create temporary stress, what matters more to me is that the company is willing to fix them. 12/2/22 After 30+ days of an absolutely disastrous claim service, Amica has dealt me a final blow that has me questioning whether I will be continuing to purchase policies with them in the future. Due to Amica's lack of transparency around what was happening with my car, Iris Cartagena called me and said that after speaking with an Amica supervisor, they would extend my rental an additional ten days (December 2nd). I take my rental in promptly at 8:30 am today and am wouldn't you know it - I'm faced with a $761.18 bill. When I inquire as to the breakdown (I expected something in the realm of $331), and wouldn't you know it I find out that despite Amica saying they would extend my rental 10 days they did not pay their share of the bill. I honestly didn't think my opinion of Amica could sink lower, but in this respect they have actually excelled. Now I have to wait while they "investigate". All I want is for this nightmare to be over. If they come back with anything less than a "our mistake" I think I'm done. My family have been loyal Amica customers for over two decades, I myself have been an Amica customer for one decade. And I am honestly considering taking up insurance with someone else. Money is tight living in California, and although it gave me a panic attack I had the money to pay, but imagine if I didn't. Imagine YOUR family receiving this shock. Then ask yourself, is Amica living up to its brand name? And is this what I'm paying for? Amica I call on you again to investigate your west coast branches. Particularly whoever is servicing Northern California. This isn't right and it is killing your brand loyalty.

Been with Amica for over a decade - I have car and home rental insurance thru Amica. (I've had some…read moregreat experiences in the past with adjusters Martin Medina and Joshua Ziegler). My current experience with adjuster Kellee Green has been the worst of my life. Firstly, I was asked to sit quietly and listen to a call between the tow lot and my Amica Appraiser - on that call I heard my appraiser on the phone with tow lot say that he could not go to the tow lot where my car was towed to appraise it. He clearly stated he couldn't go but would the tow lot please take 70 photos and email them to his email address. Two weeks later I was still waiting for an appraisal. Keep in mind that I am paying for a rental and Amica is only covering 20%. Amica blamed the tow lot despite me having heard them decline to go there. On a Monday I emailed Kellee the name of my chosen collision repair shop. On Tuesday I called the repair shop to make sure they had the claim and they said "never heard of it". I was then asked by Kellee Green to see if the collision shop could tow my car from CoPart to The collision center in Los Angeles. I asked the collision center and he replied "you can't do that bc Amica has to assign me the claim". At that point - the collision center person and I called Amica together to get the claim assigned since Kellee Green failed to do so. When the collision center went to retrieve my car - it had not been released by Amica so he was held up in that process as well. It's three weeks later and I'm still paying for the rental. The car is finally at the shop waiting for parts. I was told today that if I needed to be reimbursed for the remaining cost of the rental (it will be almost six weeks total when repairs are complete) then I needed to reach out to insurer of the party at fault myself. I have to do it myself like every step in this process. So if you want to pay for insurance but "do it yourself" go Amica. You will not find customer service here.
