My current experience with adjuster Kellee Green has been the worst of my life. Firstly, I was asked to sit quietly and listen to a call between the tow lot and my Amica Appraiser - on that call I heard my appraiser on the phone with tow lot say that he could not go to the tow lot where my car was towed to appraise it. He clearly stated he couldn't go but would the tow lot please take 70 photos and email them to his email address. Two weeks later I was still waiting for an appraisal. Keep in mind that I am paying for a rental and Amica is only covering 20%. Amica blamed the tow lot despite me having heard them decline to go there. On a Monday I emailed Kellee the name of my chosen collision repair shop. On Tuesday I called the repair shop to make sure they had the claim and they said "never heard of it". I was then asked by Kellee Green to see if the collision shop could tow my car from CoPart to The collision center in Los Angeles. I asked the collision center and he replied "you can't do that bc Amica has to assign me the claim". At that point - the collision center person and I called Amica together to get the claim assigned since Kellee Green failed to do so. When the collision center went to retrieve my car - it had not been released by Amica so he was held up in that process as well. It's three weeks later and I'm still paying for the rental. The car is finally at the shop waiting for parts. I was told today that if I needed to be reimbursed for the remaining cost of the rental (it will be almost six weeks total when repairs are complete) then I needed to reach out to insurer of the party at fault myself. I have to do it myself like every step in this process. So if you want to pay for insurance but "do it yourself" go Amica. You will not find customer service here.

Up to this very day, there is an ever-expanding set of questions and requirements that has precluded their issuing a policy. We were, to put it generously, misled. They are definitely NOT the company they once were (they closed their Northern California office) and seem to not want to insure homes in California, even those not in fire or flood zones. They are, in a word, impossible to deal with. Not recommended at all.

When I actually needed service, the tow was refused because the vehicle was considered commercial/oversized. This is a serious issue because I relied on the information given in person. If AAA cannot tow certain vehicles, staff should clearly explain the limitations instead of giving incorrect assurances. I'm now left dealing with a situation that could have been avoided with accurate information upfront.

I had…read morecontacted NUMEROUS agencies and after FOUR MONTHS of back and forth with them, I was quoted upwards of $2500 for the year, which is incredibly steep for my small business. I was about to sign but, since we already had a renter's policy (and previously our personal auto policies) with Miguel's office, I figured I'd give them a shout and see if they could help, as my wife suggested. She said that Barbara was super nice and was sure she would help if she could. So, Barbara, at Miguel's office, answered my call and was BEYOND incredible walking through the ins and outs, confirming with the underwriter and just literally bending over backwards to make it all work out - and for a FRACTION of the rates others were quoting me!! We ended up switching our auto policies back to State Farm with greatly increased coverage for just a little more than we were paying for the minimum with Farmers.
