They contacted this office and were told to make a hotel reservation that they would be covered for lodging which they did. The next day, their claim was denied. I am an additional insured on their policy. The brochure I got states that if the unit becomes "uninhabitable" that State Farm would pay for lodging. They were denied because the company said since none of their personal property was damaged, they were not covered. State Farm sent an adjuster out to look over the situation. He took pictures. Again they were denied even though anyone could see they could not live there. I found another place for them to stay. If they would have stayed at a hotel, I would have had to pay for them to stay there. I have Farmer's Insurance and they were great.

And then there was a wildfire (the Caldor Fire).  By a stroke of luck, I found this agency on the web. I contacted them scared to death my home would be destroyed by the fire. Luck was on my side and an agent in this office helped me.  Her name is Crystal Hernandez and she patiently waited for the fire restrictions to lift.  She checked it constantly until the coast was clear. When they lifted the restrictions we applied for the Fair Plan. It took over a month for this to happen but it did.  The fire finally was under control, and we got the green light. I was given a quote for Farmers first and we waited for the go-ahead for my Fair Plan acceptance.  I am so blessed I found this agency!  I now have insurance,  This for me was a nightmare up until now.  Thank you, Farmers Insurance for this great Agency.
