On Friday, 05-10-24, I knew finding someone would be difficult and likely impossible. I received "first available service dates" from next Tuesday to the 20th! What a huge blessing to have found DEPENDABLE PLUMBING/HEATING AND AIR SERVICES, LLC! From the initial call with Mrs. Shawna, who was so sweet and understanding, I knew our prayers had been answered! She told me that Mr. Michael would return my call and within 30 minutes he did! They're both animal lovers and knowing that our sweet Tucker was suffering along with us touched their hearts and Mr. Michael was at our home within 45 minutes! He quickly detected a leak and absolutely no Freon, within a short period, we could feel the humidity and heat starting to subside, Heavenly relief! The total charge was very reasonable as they absolutely saved us from having to find a hotel room for the weekend at the very least. They could have easily charged us an exorbitant "emergency call" fee, they didn't. They're a local business (actually two businesses, the plumbing operation is their son-in-law's). You're not dealing with a huge impersonal corporation, you have an honorable, honest, and kind family-operated business who really cares about you, your furry family members, and our community! All the pipes are inside a wall and insulated. That said, James and Michael responded within 24 hours which is a rarity in this area and I really appreciated the promptness. The remedy was a surprise at $600 and the service charge of $96 was even more of a surprise. In short, I wanted to give it some thought. I'm also a strong believer in a second opinion although it's hard to compare "apples to apples." Although a good friend recommended Boot's I had not used them before and perhaps the trust issue was a factor although I had no reason to not trust their opinion of the remedy. Quite coincidentally, a plumber I've known for 25 years was in the neighborhood and stopped by that same day. He fixed the issue, albeit temporary in all likelihood and had the shower running in minutes by simply placing the pipe back in position. Used the shower that evening without incident. In closing, I can't say anything negative nor would I, because they really didn't do anything.
