We had an unexpected offer on our house, with a very quick closing. Michael made the move happen - the very next day. His guys, Alan, Cy, and Daniel, were great. Even though I worried, they assured me they'd get everything packed up and delivered to multiple stops, and they did. I called Michael before our move to Hampstead as we were coming from the west coast. He responded to my call immediately and put my mind at ease that regardless of when my upack trailer was delivered, he would have a team ready to unload us. He quoted us a great price for the 3 man team. His communication was excellent prior and up to the unloading. His team was prompt for the arrival. Allan, Daniel and Brian worked the morning of July 4th to get us unloaded and quickly. Even in the sweltering heat, the guys took special care of all of our belongings and paid attention to the house. There was mot one issue with getting any of our furniture and belongings into the house and there was no damage to the walls or floors. They pointed out the few items that were unfortunately damaged during the upack cross-country transit and offered helpful suggestions. I wish we had them in my hometown to have been the company to load the trailer for us. If we had, we are confident we would have not had any damage to our belongings. Because of our experience with Michael and his team, we would use this company in a heartbeat. They were professional, efficient, and experienced. I cannot recommend All About Moving's services enough. Truly wish I could give more than 5 stars. I moved to the area this past weekend and when I tell you I couldn't be happier with my experience using All About Moving's unloading service, I mean it. The original 10 hour drive turned into a 15.5 hour drive which meant instead of arriving at 7pm we arrived at 12:30am. I kept Mike posted along the way and he assured me that his crew would be there to help us unload no matter how late it was. He just wanted us to take our time and get here safe (which was not at all what I expected to hear). The movers were there when we arrived, and even with it being the middle of the night they had great attitudes and were ready to get the job done carefully and efficiently. Not to mention the fact that they were the most affordable unloading service I found in the area. No hidden fees, no extra charges for mileage, just simply price per hour. 10/10 do recommend. I called on a Friday to request a quote for moving a huge treadmill from our 2nd floor (down some steep stairs) into our garage. I had to move twice in a short period of time and they took all of the stress out of the experience on both occasions. The owner, Mike, is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. He called the day before each move to confirm our appointment and also on the day of the move to follow up and be sure everything went well. The movers were on time, friendly, careful, professional and very efficient. All of my things were delivered unscathed. What's more is I could not believe how fast they got it done. I called on a Friday and was able to have our furniture moved into our new apartment by Sunday morning. Fast, friendly, and efficient. We had a pod filled with furniture and items for a 2 bedroom apartment and they had it emptied within the hour. They were flexible dealing with our time frame, as we didn't know exactly when the pod would arrive. They were ready shortly after I let them know it was ready. I contacted this moving service to load my furnishings and the initial interaction between the owner and myself was quite disturbing. He told me that they pay their movers in cash and they wouldn't be able to provide me with a receipt which I found strange and unsatisfactory. I decided that I wouldn't go with them and before hanging up he was extremely rude. He told me to take my business elsewhere which I am glad I did. I do not recommend them. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Mike (owner/dispatcher) and his team. Mike made the experience easy and smooth. Alan did a great job leading a crew to pack and unpack. I would definitely recommend and hire again. Mike assured me from the beginning that I didn't need to worry about a thing. He was right!! He made this move so much better than any other move I've had. He and his team were professional, on time, even early, so very accommodating; they packed items nicely, unloaded and placed items where we wanted them, never seemed bothered when we were not quite sure where we wanted things to go. It was a great move because of them. Mike is so personable and reassuring. He just made sure all went well and I'm glad I decided not to worry because there was no need for it. He made sure everything was taken care. He was also easy to reach, was available when I needed to update him, or confirm, or just talk through the move process again. They were just plain ole kind folks. When you're moving, you don't want the headache of packing, loading, unpacking, putting furniture and boxes in the right place, disassembling, reassembling, - All About Moving took care of all of that - even loaded items from a storage unit as well and we didn't have to be present. I felt compelled to share my wonderful experience with Michael Smith, owner of All About Moving. I relocated my primary home from Carolina Beach North Carolina to Calhoun Kentucky. Approximately 800 miles. Michael and his professional team came in and meticulously wrapped and packed my household valuables. The next day they came again to load the rest of our 3 bedroom house, over 10,000 lbs. Michael and his crew of 2 other professionals then drove to Kentucky overnight and delivered the next day, door to door move. After spending 20 years in the military and retiring as an Army Colonel, and traveling all over the world with military assigned movers who did a good job, I was skeptical of hiring a local small mover for such a big job, but without question Michael and his professional movers were the best I've ever used. Nothing was broken, everything was unpacked and reassembled with detail. I had originally gotten a quote from well established moving company that was more than twice what Michael charged. Michael had no hidden costs, it was fair, reasonable, and affordable. The communication was very open and I never felt like I was in the dark about anything. I couldn't recommend Michael Smith and All About Moving more highly. read more
