I must say out of all the medical appointments I have and had in my lifetime, dental appointments were the hardest for me until Dr. Watts became my dentist. He makes visiting the dentist very easy because he is gentle and patient. After he greets you and makes you comfortable, Dr. Watts will provide information about the dental work he is performing before, during and after the procedure. At least 10 years ago, I went to sleep in his chair and I was so embarrassed. He said it was okay. It happens. I have never fallen asleep in a dental chair no matter how tired I was. I was also too tensed to even relax before I started going to Dr. Watts. Another example, whenever I needed a shot for numbing, I did not feel that needle going deeply into my jaws and he also got it right the first time. This was a rare experience for me. Last, today, I got a crown and he informed me I had one before departing to see his next patient. I asked the front desk if I needed to return for the crown. They went to consult him about the crown. I already had the crown. I am so happy about the smoothness of this crown that I had to write this review. I am so happy that Dr. Watts is my dentist and I don't have to dread going to the dentist anymore.

It was super easy to make my initial first appointment, and the consultation was great! Fast forward to today .... I had my first fillings done by Dr. Jun and enough words cannot be said. Dr. Jun was very gentle, but what I noticed immediately is that he was VERY THOROUGH. You can tell that he's is really passionate about his work, and that he truly treats patients teeth like they are gems..... at least that's how I felt . The front desk staff is very friendly and there's never really a long wait when you get there to be taken in the back and the dental office is really quiet and serene. They talked me through the process, checked in often, and kept reassuring me that I was doing "awesome" (which I still side-eye a little, but I appreciated every word of encouragement ). The appointment was long and definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone, but I never felt rushed or dismissed. The care and compassion made a huge difference, and the end result was absolutely worth it. We even bonded over our dogs -- which somehow helped calm my nerves more than anything else. Instead, I opted for something to just numb the pain. I didn't necessarily feel any pain but the pressure and pulling was something I hope to never feel again. I recommend getting something stronger if you are a little softy like me. All in all, it was a very quick process. Maybe 2-5 minutes per tooth. Dr. Russell is tough but she is a great doctor! She knows what she is doing. Healing has been great. No issues at all. Slight swelling in the beginning, but that quickly went away. And the office was very nice! Hopefully I don't have to see you all any time soon but if I do I wouldn't choose any where else. Thank you!

My appointment was for 11am, I arrived a few minutes early to get through the paperwork. Moments after completing it, I was called to the back where they took x-rays and then got me settled in a room. Dr. Martin is the primary dentist and he's got decades of experience - practiced in D.C. for about 15 years before he opened his current practice and location 8 years ago. I found him to be professional but also friendly and personable. The office staff are polite and efficient as they explained to me how the appointments are held and what I owed after insurance coverage. All in all, it was a pleasant experience; I was out of there 1 hour and 15 minutes after I walked in, got x-rays and a cleaning - now that's what I'm looking for, fast and professional. One of my pet peeves is having an appointment somewhere, showing up and having to wait extra time before I get in the back, then waiting more time to be seen. I'll be back.

They were very kind when it was necessary for my mom to have dental work done. She is a senior citizen and they treated her as if she could have been one of their parents. They treated her with respect and dignity. The dentist was very personable, she talks to her patients and seems willing to explain with details how she can solve whatever issues that comes up. The whole staff was very helpful. My only complaint is that I traveled, found parking and found out that there was a very high copayment. If they had communicated this information before we arrived there would not have been a need to reschedule. That's the only reason I didn't give them five stars. Parking can be challenging and a bit confusing in the area because of the signage. The neighborhood is changing , on one side of the street you can find a corner store that's been around forever and in less than a block a Starbucks. High rise apartments and liquor stores are sharing the same block. I hate dentist by nature but this office is okay.
