I had never been to Donalds Donuts until my daughter and grandkids came for a visit. This place is excellent! My family ate there almost every day. The people who work there are the nicest, helpful and sweetest people ever. I am traveling to see my daughter and am bringing them dozens (I do mean dozens) of kolaches and donuts from here. I went in and pre-ordered, OMG they are so nice and have their act together, we set the date and time I would pick up my order. I called 2 days prior to my pick-up date and asked if they could complete my order the next day, a day early, and absolutely they did it. This place is awesome and delicious. Missed breakfast, missed it by a lot, no brunch buffet on the pier today :-( and suddenly it's past midday and getting hangry... meant to stop for a burger but the navigation app brought me here first. yea GPS! Two cases of eatables when you walk in, coffee behind the counter, coolers to the left, tables up front, restroom beyond that. I know donuts and variations thereof, and I can figure out the bagel dog looking things, but the kolaches?! Turns out they're like empanadas but with a flakier biscuity wrapper filled with what you shoulda had for breakfast if the pier wasn't redoing brunch service... and they are apparently available everywhere in Tejas - sausage, egg, and cheese was pretty good cold out of the sack a few hours later so they are probably great when eaten fresh out of the oven or gently re-heated. Best donuts around. I go here about every other month for donuts for the workplace and everyone devours them. My personal favorites are the regular glazed, the cronut, and the croissant sandwiches. When I need to get a lot, I also get the mini kolaches. Between the foot and the pleasant staff, it's always a great experience. read more

Moved to Texas recently and I always wanted to know why are there so many donut places everywhere. Well I finally got a donut and I'm so happy this was my first taste of a Texas donut here at Donald's. I was immediately greeted upon entering the store by two ladies. The woman who helped me pick out my sons birthday donuts was so freaking kind and friendly y'all. She gave me a free bag of donut holes, this will always be my go too not because of the taste of the food but because of the quality of costumer service!!! read more

Ordered an egg and potato breakfast taco and was disgusted to find mashed potatoes were the potatoes they put in the taco. Absolutely gross. Threw it in the trash since I'd already left the drive thru. The coffee wasn't any better. The coffee tasted like coffee that had been left over and saved for days and sold to unsuspecting customers. Needless to say I will never go back. Far too many other options out there to settle for this garbage. read more

My family and I love this little donut shop. In Texas there aren't many "specialty" donut shops but this store definitely sticks out compared to all the others in the area. The employees are always so sweet and generous. They will sometimes throw in an extra donut and that is so incredible when most places wouldn't dare give away an item for free. But honestly it keeps us coming back. They always offer to warm up our kolaches and don't act like it's an annoying task. The donuts are really yummy and never seem old or like they have been sitting for a day. I would highly recommend this donut shop to anyone in the area! I am a huge fan of Shipley's but honestly I don't always feel like going inside. We have been needing a donut shop on this side of town with a drive-thru. They were quick and the donuts and kolaches were DELICIOUS. I am more of a kolache person but I tried the plain glazed donut and it was melt in your mouth yummy goodness. Ordered half of dozen of donuts yesterday 3 chocolate sprinkles, 2 sugar donuts and 1 blueberry what I was given was 3 glazed, 2 sugar donuts and 1 blueberry called it in they asked if I can bring it back I said no I live 10 mins away and can't (had people working on my house which they didn't need all that info) went back this morning to get the chocolate sprinkle donuts and as soon as I told her I was here to pick it up she started accusing me of always doing that and then calling back in, although this young lady has messed up my orders in the past I never yet called in I just say make sure the donuts are chocolate sprinkles because I didn't want the kids fighting again! So after the accusation she went away from the window for a little, me during that time baffled cause I know that I am being wrongly accused, when she came back I asked her when have I ever called your donut shop and complain besides yesterday? Her response oh I know you I know you blah blah blah a complete pig from the start next time tell the young man what you said to people first before playing victim. Will I recommend here not as long as that young lady is there. The older lady has way better customer service than the young at least she repeats your order and if there's a mistake it's corrected one time! I am willing to have my phone records pulled since I'm accustom calling in and prove your employee that she doesn't know what she's talking about and whom she's speaking too! Young employee you cannot give customers what you feel to give them without customers you would've long be gone! Get your facts right before you accuse someone it takes you a long way in life! Btw the lady who I had in the front seat was the one opened up the donuts to give to my kid and she called me saying they didn't give u chocolate sprinkles just FYI learn from the old lady and repeat orders and it wouldn't hurt to smile and be polite to your customers every now and then every day can't be a bad day!
