I go in for a clean up, which turned into half of my beard being gone, while leaving a long goatee. I thought I'd let it grow out a bit, and it wasn't a super big deal. But when I get home and lived with the beard a little longer, I saw a full clippers width of hair missing on the underside of my neck and how uneven and thin everything looked. He fosters a very relaxed atmosphere in the shop with lively conversation, and even though there is often a wait involved, nobody seems to mind. When shops were closed with COVID, myself and others I knew opted to wait until he was open rather than shop around. When he was out with personal health issues, I was happy to keep visiting the shop to see Chuck (meet him on Fridays!) and happy to know the shop remained in business. The prices are very reasonable for the current market ($12 for a cut), and that includes a hot neck shave too. If you're coming here to be in and out in 20 minutes, this isn't your jam.
