They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. This fine vehicle is powered by an equally vintage International school bus motor. The chassis has its own unique features and design elements. The thought of working on this thing was vaguely terrifying. Fortunately, I was turned on to Thomas Motors. Tom and Junior are skilled mechanics, but what takes them to the next level are three things: First, they are interested in fixing things, not just throwing new parts at the problem. Second, they are unquestionably honest and straight up. Third, they are willing to wrench on vintage International iron. Now you don't need an ancient motorhome to enjoy Thomas Motors. Front desk personnel are two very professional greeting you with smiles. Had issues with me 2010 Cadillac SRX, fuel gauge stopped working, back deck lid wouldn't open. Took car to a garage they had the car for 5 days. Mechanics said I needed a fuel gauge sensors. I purchased the senor, they installed sensor, fuel gauge still didn't work. Then I was told it was my ECM which it was costly. Picked up my car and called Lenfer, drop car off and was done within 3 days. Everything works fine after Lenfer worked on my car. Even though the Lenfer shop I went to was the Lino Lakes shop, it was worth it and will always use Lenfer from now on.

I went back to get it and paid for the battery and diagnostics and while vehicle was warming up (winter) it died. They came out and took a look at it and said we will need to look at it closer. Needless to say I live in Shakopee so they needed a day, not convenient. They came back and said it needed a new fuel pump. Standard fuel pump labor is 3 hours and they charged me 4.5, checked with two other shops. But that is not all, I had a full tank of gas and when I came back they said I had no gas in the tank (30 g. tank) and they had to put gas in it so it cost me an extra $250 in gas. Terrible place.

The staff on the phone were helpful to give me a rough quote of a re-manufacturer starter motor repair + towing the day before. I was notified that my serpentine belt also needed to be replaced - which it really did. Lots of cracks. I was given two prices: one price if I paid in cash or check. The other was a surcharge if I choose to pay in a card. It was same day repair - they towed it at 9am. They called at 10am to give a final quote / needed repair. By 1pm, I was told it was ready for pickup! Their lot is small so my car was waiting for me out on the road. Semi-high traffic area. Overall, I would use these guys again for auto repairs.
