Do not be fooled by this company. They promise the greenest yard and what we have is an embarrassing yellow stained lawn. Destroyed by their weed killer. We called the office multiple times questioning why our lawn looked so bad and I was told this process takes time and they were trying to revive or grass from years of damage. Which is comical because it's a brand new house with high quality sod. They up charged us for multiple services and the result has been extremely disappointing. We sent them photos a couple of weeks ago and never heard back. read more

They did great when we started a few years ago but price increases and the wiping out of 3 years of wildflower growth as well as killing other plants took a toll. Then they call with an increased cost of approximately 25% while I am still looking at dead plants. I'll walk through stickers before I'll have them spray my yard again. read more

I have been using Don's Lawn for two last years even when they sprayed my peonies. This time they sprayed a cat house standing in protected location without grass. I called, explained what happened. I thought after my call they will immediately remedy this situation - will come wash the house and apologize, but this never happened. Instead, their customer service was aggressive, protective, accusing me in not sending them photos ( which was not true), talked as if i was an enemy; their manager visited my back yard today, I showed him the video of their employee spraying the cat house, and again not a word of apology. POOL OWNERS SHOULD READ Steven Leb was the last technician to do my lawn. Unfortunately, I was not home when he came like I usually like to be because of an incident that happened last year. I have an in-ground pool and last year one of their technicians got a good amount of fertilizer in the pool. I did not realize it early enough and it knocked my chemicals out of wack. If you own a pool or do the upkeep on one, then you know how annoying and costly this can be. I didn't make a huge deal of it, but notes were put in my file about having a pool and I think to be careful around it as it hasn't happened since. Though, I also usually like to greet the technicians and confirm that they know how to properly treat around a pool and have had no problems until Steven Leb. All others have hand spread near my pool as there is a narrow area by it and if they use a spreader it'll throw fertilizer into the pool. As I said, Steven Leb was the last to treat my yard, but I wasn't home to greet him. I always check the pool when a technician leaves to make sure everything is okay. When I came home and checked, I found a large amount of fertilizer all around the deck of pool, up to the edge of the water. Pictured below (edited to be able to see the fertilizer better) is what was around my pool. If there was this much around the pool then I knew there was a large amount in the pool. I quickly backwashed the filter, vacuumed the whole pool floor (as you can't really see where fertilizer at the bottom of pool is), and shocked it. If you don't know fertilizer can cause an algae outbreak and stain the bottom of you pool if not taken care of quickly enough. I caught it pretty early, but because of Steven's disregard for other people's property it still made extra unnecessary work and money to be put into the pool. I forgot to take a picture, but he also knocked one of my plastic volleyball net bases into the pool with, I'm assuming, his hose and didn't even bother getting it out. If he did do it with the hose, then where the base was, there's no question he also drug his hose through the pool, which is being drug through the grass with more chemicals that are unwanted in my pool. After getting ahold of someone, which isn't easy to do, I made my complaint and they refunded the service charge for that day but made no offer to actually fix the issue. Though I take care of my own pool, it would've been nice to know they cared enough to fix an issue they caused. I also went ahead and canceled my service as I didn't want it to happen again. Just seeing how Steven Leb treated my property, I hope this is taken seriously, as I doubt it's the first time he's treated someone's property poorly. read more

The first time I had my yard "sprayed" by Dons, was the last chance I would ever have at winning yard of the month. Firstly, The technician that sprayed my yard changed any and everything the most hideous shade of blue. Including my fence. My front yard used to be luminous, luscious and green, now there are dead spots EVERYWHERE!!!! The second time they came out, Pictures were taken of the damage. Nothing was done, and I haven't heard back. Currently, I'm aerating and seeding my desert, to fix the incredible damage they caused. This company will ruin your yard. They need to go back to chemistry class. read more

I have been using Don's Pest and Weed for more than five years. They are an excellent small, locally owned business. The techs are are very polite and accommodating. The best thing is that my lawn looks great year around. I have dogs that must be secured, and Don's always remembers to call or text me shortly before arrival so I can give access to the backyard. And the pricing is very reasonable. I really appreciate having a locally owned business take care of my lawn. I highly recommend Don's! read more

The product they use works. I was on their 7X application plan for weed control & fertilization. I noticed considerable difference within the year I used them. But the stress and annoyance over their lack of customer service, scheduling & billing finally pushed me over the edge and I cancelled. Problem areas: lack of customer service, scheduling & billing * Lack of customer service - Numerous times I wanted to talk to someone on the phone and was pushed to their voicemail. When the new year came and I wanted to make sure I did not receive the grub treatment again, I was bombarded was confusing messages from them saying my "my account was cancelled & they would no longer service my property". I immediately called 3 times, over a 30 minute period, only to still receive their voicemail. I finally texted them back explaining I only wanted to take off the grub treatment from 2022, since that was already taken care of. I got a text back that said, "I was set up for the 7X program and grub was removed". If that was the case why did I receive a text saying my account was cancelled?? * Scheduling - I completely understand that some days machines break or the weather doesn't allow for treatment, but when I am rescheduled I expect another notice the day before so I can properly prepare for their arrival. On Sunday, I received a text saying they were coming the next day. On Monday, I unlocked my gate and was ready, but their machine broke, so my appointment was pushed. On Wednesday at 3:15pm, I received a text saying they were on their way to my house. I was NOT notified ahead of time at all, so my gate was locked and I was at work. I called them 4 times to try and stop them, but kept receiving their voicemail again. Later, I received a text from them stating, they could not get to my backyard because my dogs were out. When I'm at away, my dogs are inside - so it made me feel that the technician at this point, had no idea what house he was at. Not to mention, at the end of the text they sent, it said "P.S. Our process is to treat whatever we can, unless you reply to our day-before reminder text that you need to reschedule :-)". BUT I never received the day-before text!! Back in 2022, when I was receiving a treatment, the technician noted that I had grubs and needed to treat them immediately. I signed up for it the next day. However, I had to wait over a month to get the treatment. I was taking the technician's word that I needed it immediately, and even with my quick movement to sign up for it, the company could not get to me quickly at all. * Billing - When I set up my account at the beginning of 2022, I put a credit card on file. However, I would constantly receive emails and texts saying my bill needed to be paid. Then a couple days later, they would charge the card on file. When I would try to call again, I received their voicemail. I would finally receive confirmation that they put my account on auto pay, yet the next application, I would get a notice saying I needed to pay my bill. Finally, since I could never get anyone on the phone, I sent a rather frustrated text, expressing my disappointment in service recently and I would like to cancel my entire account. I received back a few hours later, "I voided today's invoice and you have a zero balance." They obviously have more than enough houses to service, that my cancelling of service was no big deal. So, if you would like to be treated like you don't matter, by all means... enjoy Don's Lawn! read more

In fact, I have had people stop by and ring my doorbell to ask who controls the weeds and makes the grass so green! After being a faithful Don's weed control customer for more than 5 years, l am completely disappointed. On June 25, 21 my husband and I used Don's pest control service due to having spiders and ear wings. At the time of service the tech told us if we seen any pest within the first 90 to call back for retreatmeant. On September 5, 2021 I killed a spider in my bathtub and sink. I left a message for someone to contact me requesting another treatment for pest control. On Monday, September 6, 2021 I received a call from a technician stating that their pest control service has been suspended until January 20, 2022 so I asked how does that affect me since I was told if I had any pest problems within the first 90 days to call Don's back? Gentleman I spoke with told me he did not know what to tell me because they were not treating for pest control service until after January. In addition the technician stated that my account had a zero balance so he did not know what to tell me. We paid $115 in full! We will not use Don's going forward. read more
