Don's has been closed and out of business since it burned down during the Camp Fire in 2018! Up until then, it was the best place on the ridge for parts and repair services! Get it together, YELP! UPDATE STALE REVIEWS! read more

Have had two walk-behind gas mowers and one gas weed trimmer serviced in the last year since moving to Paradise. They were very friendly and were able to get all of them tuned up in a short amount of time. They are a popular place and can be busy at times so don't expect a 24 hour turn-around. It takes time for them to find out the problem and get it fixed correctly. I will definitely be coming back for any small engine issues I have. read more

They repaired my mower twice and my generator. They are reasonably priced and they do a good job. They couldn't fix my one walk-behind mower because it was not repairable. They have always been quite fair to me. They are very busy and it sometimes takes them a few days because of the people that depend on them for repairs. Don fixed my generator - replaced all the fuel lines, filters, etc. and then he repaired the choke and didn't charge me for it. If it can be fixed, this is the place to go. If it can't be fixed, take it to the dumps like I did, but they always do their best it seems to me. I've been going to Don's for about 8 years now. read more

My husband was referred to Don's Saw & Mower Service from Thomas Ace Hardware. We needed a screw for our Stihl blower. A 30 something young man was the only one there. He had no customer service skills at all. My husband asked for the screw. The man didn't even look, just told him he had to go to Chico. We know there is a pile of spare parts out in the back. Lazy people suck, and shouldn't be at a job where customer service is a must. We sure wish Don was there. Very poor business. read more

Dropped my chainsaw off last fall. Never got a call to pick it up. Two months later, I remember to call them and see why it is so late. They say it is done. I go pay them over $50 and bring it home, 45 minutes away. It doesn't start anymore. Chain is tight and nicely sharpened but they didn't do the mechanical work I asked them to and payed for. read more

I dropped my chain saw off for Don to take a look at it. He informed me that it wasn't worth fixing & the oiler was shot with no replacement parts. I asked him how much I owed him. He said I didn't owe him anything, just keep him in mind when I was ready for a new one. ---That's exactly what I did . He helped me pick out a new saw and I've been "very " happy with the service I received. His prices are very reasonable & fair. Don is knowledgeable & a true craftsman at his trade.
