But I am kind of bed bound in a rehabilitation hospital. I have been this way since October 14 2025. The story is I have been a florist my self since the 80's. I also had 2 shops of my own. I was the first to be hired at Raley's here in Red Bluff..back then it was allowed to be run like a real flower shop, not like now where they do so much ready made, worked for them 17 years.Well I digress from main topic here. Anyway I grow succulents and design container and dish gardens. So I was tired of fresh flowers dying so I ordered myself a succulent arrangement. I was very disappointed and called the shop and complained. That was I thought end of story. Well later in afternoon when I was wheeled back from physical therapy I was surprised and delighted to see a very beautiful succulent garden that I love! The company had replaced my other arrangement, but left it too. I was so taken back and pleased also with a nice long note they were so gracious ! Although I didn't buy anything, I spotted a few things in the gift shop that will likely bring me back. The lady was so rude and told me if I wanted something cheap I should go to Safeway which I don't have a car to go to. I was attempting to buy local and was willing to buy $25 worth of flowers to litter the house. She made me feel so unwelcome and told me 'I don't know how to help you'. I started with telling her about my Grandma being sick, I can't believe someone would be so rude after that. I feel a hundred times worse than I did before and it made this hard time so much more painful. I don't know how this place will stay open if they treat their customers like this.
