This donut shop has the best red velvet donuts in town we'll it the only place I found them it so good it's one of my kids favorite. This weekend we tried the newest one they have the mochi I heard so many people rave about how good they are and I guess I don't see how special they are it's okay nothing special to me it's has just a little chewy that's it . Definitely under new management I only came because my coworker raves about a breakfast sandwich she had yesterday and a blueberry fritter. I walked in to a lady who was not happy to be at work asked her the breakfast sandwich she proceeded to tell me they don't make any only have ham and cheese croissants ok? He complained his was dry. Mine was fairly good, it wasn't dry and I liked the combination of the frosting, so I was happy. But I don't think I'll return just cause its to far from my home. Since we just moved to Visalia, we weren't sure where to go for donuts, but we found this place on Yelp and were enticed by the "Man Donut." Unfortunately, they were all out the first time we went. So, the very next day, I woke up super early and got there at 5:30 AM to get a couple. My fiancé and I were impressed both days we got donuts! The donuts were big, soft and fluffy, and the flavors were awesome! The staff was patient with us since we wanted to take our time to look at everything. The donuts are just ok. The glaze donuts were good, but the cake donuts were too dense and greasy, which left a coating inside our mouth. The frosting on the sprinkled donuts was also very thin, more like icing, and wiped off on other donuts by the time we got home. However, the customer service is very friendly and their cinnamon sugar glazed donut was great. We'll try it again to see if it was an off day the next time our regular place is closed. read more

Sadly I found out at the register that the donut shop is under new ownership, the service was good but the donuts are pretty run of the mill donuts you can find around town. Also the Yelp check in 15% discount is not accepted as i was told that it was the previous owners. The prices are pretty reasonable as I got a mixed dozen for around $9.80 or so.. if you just want a donut it's an okay place to get your fix. read more

Stopped by to check out this donut place. The donuts were pretty good, and the guy that helped me was really nice. I got a maple bar, chocolate round, and a cookie monster, but I forgot to ask if they had blueberry. The cookie monster was probably my favorite of the three, and it wasn't overly sweet like I thought it might be. I have to compare the chocolate round to that of Scotty's, and Scotty's wins by a landslide. It's not because the DF one was bad, but Scotty's is just that good. I'd come back here if it's on my way and try the blueberry, and hopefully they'll have Butterfinger or something fancy like that. read more

Drove all the way from Tulare to get a specialty "man doughnut" for my brother, father and husband only to find that the cashier had no clue what I was talking about. I read a previous post saying the shop is under new ownership. While I was met with disappointment, the doughnuts here were still good and the place clean. Well, it's been more than four years since I both, rated the donuts here, and stopped going to Donut Factory. The business has since been purchased, and has a new owner. They look inside is a bit different(better), not leading customers down a narrow hall to purchase, then get bottle necked behind the line. You can actually see the donuts in the display case now, as you walk in. But, the real review, should be about how they taste, the donuts that is. They were great. Fresh, firm, tasty, and as a donut should be. Nothing fancy going on here, just donut making. This is ok, by the way; they don't have to make gourmet donuts. In fact, I'm giving them 5 stars because, they were nice, open on Thanksgiving, and they are just doing what they set out to do, make delicious donuts. Listen, my only complaint, if it's really a complaint, is that Apple Fritter just isn't there yet. Fritters are supposed to be mountainous, pulled apart as you eat them, and look as if they clumped together from several handfuls of material to make this one last donut. With a little more effort, this may be obtained. I've been on the pursuit for the best donuts in Visalia, and while I will have to drive clear across town to enjoy something fresh from Donut Factory, it's well worth the drive! read more

My family and I have been going to the donut factory since they opened! It's become an almost every weekend trip for us and my boys are definitely disappointed if we don't go every Saturday! While I normally get a traditional donut, my husband loves the "man donut" with maple and bacon. My favorite thing about this place is the family friendly atmosphere. They know my children now and what they order and to me that means they actually make an effort to get to know their customers! Great donuts but too small to handle high demand. Went there this morning to get 18 donuts to bring to a Valentines Day breakfast get together at work and they said they didn't have enough to sell me that many. Although they had plenty of donuts at the time, they were concerned they would run out and offered to delivery my order later in the day, which of course would have been too late for breakfast. Donut Factory has been a huge disappointment to our family. We live 4 blocks away and we were so excited when they opened, but then we tried it and found that their donuts are not very good, and they don't offer many of the traditional varieties that we like. As a result, we prefer to drive to Scotty's, (Visalia's best donuts by far.) This morning I decided to give DF another try, thinking that with time they have improved - nope. The woman who helped me appeared as though she had to force herself to even feign a smile and be friendly, the other woman working had the register tied up helping someone on the phone, so I had wait a while to pay, cake donuts are too small, raised donuts are too big and not cooked thoroughly, they still don't have many of the traditional varieties of donuts, and they are overpriced. I saw a comment from someone about being able to watch them make the donuts - who cares, (if you are older than 3 years old,) about watching second rate donuts being made. Needless to say, we will stick to Scotty's from now on, and leave DF donuts for those who like the out-of-the-ordinary. read more
