This morning, two dozen donuts and a medium decaf coffee cost me $69. The signs say ~$23 per dozen so I was anticipated my total would reflect this. I'm not the type of person to make staff put items back, so I paid for it, but I can't justify specialty pricing when the majority of the order was standard glazed, crumb, and sugar donuts. The staff is generally nice, and the space is an improvement from before, but the last few visits have already had me questioning whether I'd return. This experience ultimately made that decision for me. During a previous visit around New Year's, I ordered a decaf coffee and watched as the last drops of decaf were poured into my cup and then topped off mostly with regular coffee. On that same visit, one employee bagged my donut, another took it, threw it out of the bag, and replaced it with the same type of donut, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. I want to support local businesses, but the pricing and experiences no longer make sense for me, especially when I could spend the same amount on two dozen specialty items elsewhere. The donut place is very clean & up to date. The donuts were good. The only thing I don't like is, they never have mochi donuts! They have it in the menu but all the time I go they say they don't have them. That's the main reason I go. The Thai tea was TOOOO sweet. I had to add more milk. The service could be better, the lady that helped us was a little rude. It was an older lady. She seemed bothered or maybe was having a bad day. read more

Came to this spot because the previous donut shop I went to had only 4 donuts. This shop is located on a very busy street, so you might zoom past it. They have a plethora of donuts to choose from along with croissants, coffee, and other sweets. The prices are very reasonable. I purchased the half dozen donuts, which even included the filled ones!! Donut Factory serves donuts... and croissants, and sandwiches, and coffee (hot, cold, frozen, espresso...), all kinds of yummy stuff. Mom and I stopped here planning to try the donuts; we really did. There was a wide variety of donut styles on display and they all looked really good. The people working there didn't try to rush us as we pondered our donut options. Should we get an apple fritter? Perhaps a bear claw? The raised glazed donuts are a classic for a reason, you know. They allowed us to take our time and enjoy the thought of consuming each donut in turn. The gentleman helping us just stood by patiently smiling, probably because he knew we were in for a treat no matter WHAT we decided. And then, they began calling to us, seducing us with their golden brown flaky exteriors and glimpses of the smooth and creamy cheese filling inside. The day was won in a decisive victory by the cream cheese filled croissants, which turned our prearranged plan of purchasing donuts on its head. His smile grew wider in recognition of the magnificence of our final decision and he asked if we wanted it warmed up. You bet your little booty we wanted it warmed up. That's how croissants should be consumed, warm and flaky exterior a foil to emphasize the creaminess of the cheesy filling. There is a little eating area with old fashioned swiveling stools in a bright and cheery red and white where a nicely dressed man was enjoying his donut, coffee, and newspaper, but we didn't make it even two steps away from the counter before we were indulging ourselves in a happy feeding frenzy that, while pleasurable, was over much too soon. We would have to save the donuts for another day. Although, now that I think about it, maybe we'll try the more hearty ham & cheese croissants next time. Or maybe we'll buy one of their made to order sandwiches. Or maybe a frozen coffee drink. Who knows? The possibilities are endless. There are two Donut Factory locations in Tulare, the other one is up on Prosperity Ave and the 99 Freeway, next to 99 Cent Only Store. So many options...this doesn't bode well for my waistline. read more

I'm not much of a donut person so this review is not on the donuts here. While they aren't bad, they're just not my thing. What I really come for are the croissants. I like to dip a hot, buttery croissant into hot chocolate; and this is where you find the BEST croissants in Tulare. Even though the owner has not yet taken to my idea of completely changing their name to "Croissant Factory", I envision the glorious day when they will be recognized for their croissant excellence by more than just the myself and the Yelp community. read more

This place is amazing, There donuts are so light and not heavy at all. The customer service is wonderful so friendly and kind. They are not the type of place that just wants to you hurry up and buy something and leave. They actually interact with the customers just not in store but threw facebook as well.
