Great variety and service. I was blown away from the selection and there were unique options compared to other donut shops. While it was a tad chewier than a typical donut, it was missing the density of a good mochi texture. The frosting was also very sweet and applied thickly. The drawing was cute and well executed though. *Maple Bar: well executed classic. The dough was fluffy and the glaze had a smokey, fragrant maple quality. This was airy and not oily in the slightest. *Glazed Donut: similarly pillowy softness covered in a simple, sweet glaze. Good yeastiness. *Green Thai Tea: good but a bit heavy with the milk and sugar. I would have liked a greater ratio of tea as it was brewed well but it got covered up by the milk. I love this place. I literally drive by at least 7-8 donut places (that I know of) just to come here. Everything is always so fresh and honestly their items they sell at the Donut Factory look like works of art. The food and drinks are great. I'm a fan of their green Thai tea with tapioca boba. I've never had anything like it and it is an amazing alternative to the black tea in the traditional Thai tea. The staff is beyond nice and it's very genuine. Heads up, mochi donuts only available on Fridays! This was a very standard donut shop. The colorful pictures here on yelp is what drew me in. So many pretty colorful donuts that looked unique. However, when I went in, there were only your typical standard donuts, like jelly filled, glazed, maple bars, apple fritters, etc. None of the colorful and unique looking donuts pictured here on yelp were available. When I showed the lady behind the counter, the picture of the banana donut she said they don't make that anymore. They also said mochi donuts are only available on Fridays. I decided to check them out and WOWZA! I see why they have a 5 STAR RATING! Not only are there donuts great, the prices are fair, the customer service is outstanding AND their donuts are unique, different and innovative! I saw a Boston Creme donut, donuts with Fruity Pebbles sprinkled on top, some with marshmallows or gummy worms! Oreos! Or my personal favorite the maple BACON bar! I got to the location at 6:05 to buy treats for my work team (they open at 6:00). Upon arrivals, someone was unloading donuts into the store from the back of the van. I was disappointed to see they are not made fresh at the location. But I was in a rush to get to work so as I entered, as the man said "one moment I'll be right there to help you". In pursuit of the best donuts in Visalia, we have eaten more than our share of bad donuts! Finally! Finally the coveted title can be filled and awarded to The Donut Factory, on Mooney Blvd. in Visalia. The married couple who run this establishment are apart of a larger family owned shops and while there are other locations of The Donut Factory in both Visalia and Tulare, this is the only location we frequent on a regular basis. We have tried the North Visalia location but it's just not the same as the Mooney site. This couple run a tight and tasty ship. They are ready at all hours of any given morning and the racks of donuts are filled and fresh! They typically have two types of coffee brewed with all of the required non-dairy creamers at your disposal. I have never seen a restaurant or shop floor so clean that I would not hesitate to pick up any dropped breakfast pastry and eat it, regardless of any legitimate "10-second" rule.
