I'm not usually one to leave reviews, especially negative ones because I know how it is to work customer service & food industry but this sh*t was absolutely disgusting. i found this place a few weeks ago and i loved it. i've gone multiple times a week because they're one of the only donut shops open till 2. yesterday i went to get my usual, a gatorade & 2 boudin kolaches, one jalapeño & one regular. jalapeño was fine but when i took a bite of the other one it tasted kinda funky. mind you, i was a little high so i wasn't paying attention. i was just hungry and i was looking forward to this kolache all day. i take a few more bites and immediately spit it out because it just tasted evil. that's the only way i can describe it, a taste like no other. i throw it back in the bag and it lands upside down and i am DISGUSTED!!! the bottom is covered in f*cking mold. after i puke my guts out i drive back over and show the lady. bless her heart, love her to death she's always so sweet. she ran to the back to get the manager and he came out with some bs excuse about how they roll them fresh everyday so it had to be something from the parchment paper they display them on. from the taste of the filling it was obvious that it was old and he was lying right to my face. he told me he'd make it up to me and tried warming me up another but i declined and told him i just wanted my money back. he gives me $5 cash even though i paid with card and my total was over $13... whatever. spent the rest of the day throwing up and i still can't eat any food without tasting mold. never going again read more

The KOLACHES here are pretty good. I like that it's a good size and is pretty flavorful. The BLUEBERRY donuts are my favorite because they're not too sweet and has a nice airy dough texture. The GLAZED donuts are not the best, but they're not terrible. They're a little more on the sweeter side. Service here is very friendly. There are more donuts that I want to taste; so I'll be back for sure. read more

Went here on Christmas Eve bc of the awesome yelp reviews.. I was greeted and helped immediately.. he explained everything to me with no issue.. I ordered half a dozen plain donuts.. Christmas sprinkled donuts.. vanilla cake and cinnamon sugar donuts.: boudin, sausage and cheese, and ham and Swiss kolaches .. everything was gone within the hour!! My husband brought me Donut Guys for the first time for Mother's Day! We tried six different donuts and they were all delicious! The blueberry cake was the best cake donut I've ever had. Holy cannoli, do I have a doughnut place for you!! This little doughnut shop is easy to miss, situated as it is in a small strip center on West Little York just east of Kahla Middle School. Neither their sign nor their shop is very big, but the flavors are HUGE!! Everything I ordered today (& I got 2 of quite a few things...lol!!) was tasty and fresh. The standouts for me were their boudin kolaches and their mini apple fritters. BEST APPLE FRITTERS I've had in 15-20 years. Yum yum yum yum YUM. Plus the shop is clean and welcoming, and the guy behind the counter was friendly, warm, and charming. You just can't ask for more, unless you expect $20 bills in your kolaches (which would be nice but impractical). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (but please leave some for me). read more

As I walked into the Donut Guys shop, I expected to see a typical, plain shop as I always see around Houston. It was more than expected. Very clean, cute, and fresh atmosphere. The Donut Guys were very friendly and attentive. I tried the jalapeño kolaches. They make it with Italian sausage. FINALLY I found a favorite kolache place in Houston. As for the glazed donuts, they go perfect with my coffee. Soft and just enough sweetness to it. The maple bacon donut. DROOL DROOL DROOL. By far my favorite. This is the first time ive been and this place was great! I absolutely loved their old fashioned donut, crispy outside, soft inside. The service was wonderful and they fill donuts to order. Just left this place and let me tell you! I always go on yelp to read reviews and never leave my opinion but this place takes donuts to another level! I had 3 speciality donuts the s'mores, blueberry cake, and a new concoction red velvet peppermint donut. I also had the boudian kolache and 2 sausage kolaches. I was not dissapointed at all.The donuts were not to sweat and flavored just right so you can eat more than one, which in this case I did. my husband had the boudain kolache but I managed to eat half of that too. My 2 year old doesn't have much of a sweat tooth but he managed to devour his donut and even ask for me to take him to get another one. The staff were friendly and took time to explain the donuts and show true pride in their work. I will be going back soon, fyi they are open til 1 today so might even go back for an afternoon kolache. read more

This place was a little bit out-of-the-way for me, but it looked like they had some delicious biscuits as part of their breakfast and it lured me in. Upon arriving, it was obvious they no longer serve them and really it was just your typical corner donut shop. The donuts were good but unremarkable, so unless this is near your house or on your way somewhere I wouldn't take an extra trip. The people there were very nice and helpful so I can't discount that but there's just too many shops much closer to me that I would rather go to. read more

This place used to be sooooo good. But i think the owner changed and they new owners COMPLETELY changed the menu. I miss those moist and spicy boudin kolaches(yes they have it but it is NOT the same), thick and cheesy grits chowder, and the well executed and delicious specialty donuts. First time trying out this place and gotta say I am pretty surprised with the quality of their donuts. The dough tasted AWESOME, very soft, not soggy nor dry. I had the regular and chocolate glazed and man I am def. hooked. Too bad the Vietnamese Iced Coffee was still brewing, but the regular coffee was spot on for me. The store is simple, clean and welcoming. I am a HUGE fan of Krispy Kreme's, but this joint is def. way up there on my list. After learning of this place on Yelp, I decided to make the 25 minute drive to check it out. Boy, am I glad that I did. The flavor combinations of their donuts is diverse and the quality is great. The have a nice fusion with Vietnamese snacks and drinks as well. I added a Cafe Sua Da to my order and enjoyed every bite and drink until it was all gone. Love this place, very clean nice donut shop with friendly local staff who are the owners. The donuts taste great and so do the egg and cheese sandwiches. Today I tried one of their turtle donuts and a speciality ice coffee they make with Cafe Du Mond. The turtle donut was delicious and the coffee was great too, not to sweat but not to sour but I must tell you this is a really sock it to you strong coffee, I only had a few sipes and I was Awake! Just found this place and I'm so glad I did! You haven't had an apple fritter until you've had one made by Donut Guys. Warm it up and it's like a cinnamon roll and an apple pie got together and had a baby... Maybe save one for after dinner (if you can) and add a little ice cream... Heaven....
