On busy weekend mornings expect a line. 1 Star. Service - This family-owned small business has been here as long as I've lived in Irving. Food - Shin's Donuts is the epitome of the saying "Not all donut shops are the same". While the word Donut is in the title, my favorite item is the sausage roll. On my most recent visit, I ordered my roll wrapped in a croissant dough. The buttery roll is an upgrade from the original sausage roll. It was soft and warm (next time I'll put it in the toaster oven) and quickly disappeared once my kids discovered them. And while Shin's has plenty of donut types, I only need a glazed donut. Shin's glazed donut is soft, airy, and never dries out. It's perfect when I dunk it in black coffee. Bonus - the staff always gives me a bag of donut holes to go. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes.
