Updating my review & adding a star since they were actually open today. 0500 and they were still closed. I had to call them to open the door. I got 2 donuts, 1 bavarian and 1 lemon. They were both good, nice and fresh. However, overall, they were average. They were also not appealing to the eye. No wow factor, just average. I like it when donuts entice me just by looking at it. I asked for a jalapeño ham and cheese and was told they didn't have it, so I ordered something else. A few minutes later, another customer ordered the same thing and they said yes, then laughed and pointed at me. I love local, mom & pop donut shops. It's a small donut shop that is also your one stop shop for coffee or croissants. As soon as you enter, you are greeted. I think the owner is also the cashier. She is a very sweet Asian lady that knows her regulars. She makes conversation very easily and is super funny. A dozen donuts costs $12.95. I had to grab a couple dozen donuts for a coworkers birthday last minute and the owner was so sweet and helped me make some good selections that everyone absolutely loved and on a great budget. I also got my child a cake donut while I was there and it was so light and airy, absolutely one of the best cake donuts I've ever had after my daughter was done eating all the sprinkles off it lol. I went on a Saturday morning about 15 minutes after they opened and there was already a line. There was only one lady working who I presume is the owner. She was incredibly pleasant. The donuts were some of the best donuts I've had. The raised donuts were fluffy and light and the cake donuts were very moist and flavorful. They have a really big variety to choose from. Most of the donuts are $1 a piece/buy 5, get 1 free or $9.95 a dozen. They have other items like ham and cheese croissants and fritters which are a little more expensive but not by much. read more

We are new to the area and wanted to find a great donut place. We checked yelp and Donut Star was one that had good reviews and was close by. Upon entering the shop there were three things I noticed. The first being that there were regulars. At least two that I could tell and a third walked in after us. To me that means that the atmosphere is friendly and the donuts must be good enough for repeat visits! The second thing I noticed was that the place was very clean. The donuts were neatly displayed and looked amazing. The third thing I noticed was how large the donuts were!! Much bigger than any other donut shop I've been to.
